Sometimes, It Just Isn't Necessary

Over the years I have had many excuses why I have missed a few days writing on thisBlog.Sick, vacations, family, and so on.Lately though, the reason is,Googlehas ruined a good thing. It is so discouraging toPoststories on here after they took away one of my favorite techniques.Embedding musical videos.I can no longer put up music I wrote. It wasn't like I did it everyday. That would be redundantand people would get tired of seeing the same thing over & over. But I do need to keep writing here so I can keep getting better at this craft.I enjoy writingand I have seen progress in my abilities since I started. If I didn't,I would have found something else to do to occupy my time.Forgive me for whining so much aboutBloggerbut I really had to get this off my chest.I'm going to find new ways to motivate myself so I can keep onwritingand fight though this disappointing new format. Is Hiring a Writer for Your Small Business Worth the Money? - Wave Blog This is,Celebrating One Of The Greatest Works Of Literary Art Released On This Day Back In 1979,The Hitchhiker's Guide To The GalaxyJim Hauenstein And,  “I have always said that change is good. Educing Information

I came across an interesting quote recently."The risk was that you would get people who would be susceptible to political considerations as opposed to national security considerations, or would construe political considerations as opposed to national security considerations--to move from the kid with a bomb to the kid with a picket sign, and from the kid with the picket sign to the kid with the bumper sticker of the opposing candidate. And you just keep going down the line." Sound familiar?Sounds like what is happening inPortland, Oregonand other parts of the country. It is a quote fromTom Charles Huston
during theChurch Committee Hearingsof 1975.A key witnessand the author of a master spy plan prepared forPresident Richard M. Nixonin 1970.He testified about what can happen when inappropriate intelligence-collection methods are adopted by the government.Get this. It's in anC.I.A.
article calledEducing Information: Interrogation: Science and Art.I was researching how torture doesn't workand the article talks about how governments shouldn't spy on their own people.Imagine that! The article is an interesting read.
One of the best interrogators of all time, the article states, was aGermanduringWWII.He never asked prisoners questions about military strategybut just became their friends.Like I said many times before, people love to talk about themselves if there is someone there to listen!Introduction | Steven J. I'll Be Seeing You.  "Here is the dilemma: we want to know the truth, especially when it comes to dangers that imperil the United States; but, at the same time, we don't want to pull out the fingernails of people we have captured on battlefields, or spy at home on individuals of Arab or Southwest Asian descent who are law-abiding US citizens. That's what happens in dictatorships, not democracies, and preserving the difference between the two types of regimes is important to most of us--all important."

So You Say You Have A Ghost Problem?

Well,if flying saucers going around your head isn't enough to bother you,I have the best next thing explaining all those little puffs of smoke you see in the air in front of your eyes! After its heyday, during the last decade, where have all theGhost TV Shows
gone? There at your house! Now you too can become aParanormal Investigatortoo!See the source image TheseAppsare for theiPhone, but I'm sureAndroidhas plenty of examples you can also choose from. This story is byMatt CrowleyforThe Daily Dot.   Ghost Locator by Sebastien Mougey Of all the apps I tested, Ghost Locator is far from the most impressive, but it may be my favorite. Simply press the “on/off” switch, and within seconds, a ghost will appear on the radar screen along with some pertinent details. You can click on the phantom for more information—Heath, for example, is 237 years old, died in 1801 at the age of 24 from drowning, and currently weighs 0 pounds (all the ghosts weigh 0 pounds, as the app informed me each time).
Ghost Recorder by MEDL Mobile, Inc.If you’re desperate to hear ghoulies in your area but don’t want to pay a premium, check out Ghost Recorder, which “uses special technology to pick up the supernatural ghost noises that are beyond the realm of the human ear.” Unfortunately, the app doesn’t allow you to download your recordings, but it confirmed Ghost Observer’s findings: I heard a feedback noise, wheezing laughter and, for some reason, a creaking door, at St. Marks, the House of Death, my apartment, my office, on the subway, and at a Taco Bell in Queens. Spooky stuff.

Ghost Hunter M2 by Michael WeberThe Cadillac of Ghost Hunting equipment, Ghost Hunter M2 costs a dollar but comes with everything you could want: audio and video analyzers, a geoscope, a special camera, and a whole slew of sensors. On the negative side, there’s so much to sift through that it can be overwhelming, and the user interface is rather dull—each section only offers an on/off button, without any switches to flip or dials to tune. Despite these flaws, though, Ghost Hunter M2 is the most thorough and in-depth app on the market—truly putting the “science” in pseudoscience.

These are just three, out of tenApps, thatMatt Crowleychecked out.  So,try to find the one that best fits you,and send me all theGhost Picturesyou collect!

She's Voting From Space, So Y'all Have No Excuse

By Alyse Stanley for Gizmodo.com

For this November’s presidential election, NASA astronaut Kate Rubins plans to cast her ballot from the International Space Station, 200 miles above Earth, effectively obliterating every excuse in the book for why us earthbound voters can’t make it out to the polls. “If we can do it from space, then I believe folks can do it from the ground too,” Rubins said in an interview with the Associated Press on Friday.[image error][image error][image error]

This is, Your Vote Counts - Use ItJim Hauenstein And “If you are bored and disgusted by politics and don't bother to vote, you are in effect voting for the entrenched Establishment, who rest assured are not dumb. Who are keenly aware that it is in their interests to keep you disgusted and bored and cynical and to give you every possible reason to stay at home doing one-hitters and watching MTV on primary day. By all means stay home if you want, but don't bullshit yourself that you're not voting. In reality, there is no such thing as not voting: you either vote by voting, or you vote by staying home.”

Gimme Skynyrd

I'm still working on editing my new book. That sounds better than it is.It's a hobby of mine writing stories.I need to do something with my time, especially now with the 2020 quarantine going full swing. In the past I have talked about growing upand knowing a lot of fine musicians from my home town ofSouth Milwaukee. So I thought out of respectand found memories of some of the nicest people I knew in my 20s,Jack & Elfi Juraska,I would put up a video fromGimme SkynyrdwithJackon guitar.

Finding The Time To Write

I am supposed to be editing one of my stories so I can send it to aLiterary Agent.I would like to get published but the odds are astronomical.Especially now.I heard one agent say in a podcast,"Stop sending in stories about viruses killing everyone in the world. It's been done."She also went on to say since everyone is in quarantine, agents all over the world are getting twice as many manuscripts from wannabe writers, such as myself.I will not be discouraged though.I'm not trying to become richand famous. But if I made a little money from my writing, that would be icing on the cake.We all know that a good cake is just as edible without the icing though.I would really like to see one of my novel length stories get printed. It is a goal I have. You have to have goals after you retire in life,or boredom will eat away at your essence. There is no other reason to retire than to have the time to do the very things you love to do in life.Otherwise, keep working. You have to have something to do.So if I miss a day of writing on thisBlog, just know that I am either editing my latest novel, learning how to play theHurdy Gurdy,or spending quality time with my family.Because,It's A Wonderful Life. It's a Wonderful Life (1946) - IMDb

It isSundaymorning in my part of the world. So I was thinking, since it is the day of rest for some religious groupsand most of western civilization,I thought I might put up someMusic Videosfor your listening pleasure. Then I remembered it is a religious dayand I thought I should up the home page of his holiness theDalai Lama. But I have done both of these in the pastand I don't want to repeat myself too much.I loveFormula 1 Racingbut there are no races scheduled for today.I could talk aboutFootballbut most of the world would want to hear about
