September Update: The First of a Few
Editing is nearly complete on the first volume of a six volume collection of short fiction. When there are more concrete updates on it — like a release date, pre-order availability, artwork and title reveal — there will be additional quick updates, which is part of why I decided to skip posting an August update because there are more to come.
Volume two is about to be sent off to begin the editing process.
I’ve written some in previous posts about how some recent works have been coming to and asking to be written longhand. Part of this owes a debt to one Joe Hill’s recent Locke and Key releases where he discusses a recent change in his process that reassured me of one in my own. What I need to get better about is transcribing, to that end I have started with an older work that I never finished but made good progress with and liked where it was going. It’s in a bound notebook so I’ll be getting that transcribed.
Since the last novel I wrote is still sitting at least half-handwritten and now another “oh, this is going to be a great short story — no, novella — nope now I got 260 pages of novel manuscript” project. I have to get used to transcribing works, and as I work in drips and drabs in this notebook I’m seeing that maybe there is something to giving these projects a little more rest as now it actually is creating a new draft.
Anyway, that’s all for now. More news will be coming soon.

Another New Publication Forthcoming!

More good news to report as I have another publication forthcoming!
A piece of microfiction I wrote has been accepted for publication in the 42-Word Stories Anthology. It’s an anthology of 42 categories, featuring 42 selected works/category, each being 42-words.
As such the editors are hoping to feature 1,764 authors in the book. So, if you’re interested follow this link to learn more about it.
