Prosperity Engine — Update — Mastering Mass

Physical reality consists of four key dimensions or “elements” (STEM):

Space,Time,Energy, andMass

In this article, we will look at some drills we can do to master the dimension of mass.

Mass has been defined variously as,

Solid matter.Source of gravity.Consolidated or encysted energy.Doubt.The opposite of confidence.Heaviness.Source of constant inertia.Resistance to change.

Mass gives us a stability or point of reference within space and time. In a sense, mass is a source of “stop,” the opposite of spiritual (paramita) confidence, which is more at “go.” Mass represents the failure or collapse of reality. In fact, the most extreme mass—the black hole—will not let even light escape. It remains “doubt” which is the ultimate in spiritual failure. In some philosophical circles, mass is the trap for all things spiritual—a trap which we must learn to escape.

And paradoxically, the focus on escape makes it more and more difficult to escape. The focus needs to be on its opposites. This includes paramita confidence—not “confidence to escape,” because then the attention goes to the thing from which we are “struggling” to escape, rather than the freedom which is objective of the escape. The phrase “confidence to escape” is physical, because it contains a negative concept—the fact that there is a need for something we don’t yet have. In the spiritual realm, there is no such thing as “lack” or “scarcity” or “need.” In the spiritual realm, “confidence” is perfect without any of the seeds of doubt or other negative concepts.

The Limits of Mass by Scale

[image error]Clean surface of pure gold seen through a scanning tunneling microscope, with bands of several atoms wide in the surface structure. Image: ErwinRossen (PD).

On one end of the scale, we might measure the mass of a subatomic particle, like an electron, or extremely close to zero mass with the electron neutrino.

On the other end of the scale, we might measure the mass of an entire galaxy or galactic supercluster.

And on the moderate, middle range of the scale of mass, we have the human experience, measured in the amount of mass in a grain of sand, the mass of a human body, or the mass of a rocket and payload before launch.

Unsolved Fundamental Question of Physics

One of several unsolved questions of physics involves the disparity between matter and anti-matter. There is far more matter than anti-matter in the known universe. When anti-matter collides with regular matter, the two unravel, releasing horrendous amounts of energy. This does not merely produce copious amounts of energy, but a gargantuan flood of energy from the total annihilation of both the matter and the anti-matter. All that mass is converted into energy. The amount of energy produced is described in Einstein’s famous equation,

E = mc2

The symbol, “c,” is the velocity of light. In the MKS system of units, this would be 299,792,458 meters per second. Squaring this produces a huge number:

89,875,517,873,681,764

or about 89.9 quadrillion meters squared per second squared.

When we multiply this value times one kilogram of mass, we get 89.9 quadrillion Joules of energy. That’s equivalent to 24.99 Billion kilowatt hours (kWh). This means that the perfect conversion of one kilogram of mass into energy could, with perfect conversion to electricity, power 1,000 hundred Watt light bulbs for 28.5 years! For most people, that’s roughly half a lifetime. So, we might easily run every appliance in our home for our entire lifetime by converting 3–4 kilograms of mass into energy.

I remember one science fiction movie where aliens attacked Earth because they had used up all their matter stores by converting it all into energy. Of course, their civilization was far older than our own. Perhaps they had learned how to convert mass to energy some several million years ago. Interesting story, even if the movie was a bit cheesy.

Here’s an idea for solving the matter-anti-matter conundrum. Say, for example, that when the Big Bang occurred, spewing into the newly created space all the energy and newly-minted mass in our young universe, there were two lobes of physical existence—a mostly matter lobe and a mirror-image, mostly anti-matter lobe. Everything that happens in one is perfectly mirrored in the other. They are inextricably connected by a higher dimension than space or time, so in one sense, they coexist in the same time and space, but residing on different sides of that higher dimension. How would we test such a hypothesis? That’s the next great question, one for which I do not yet have an answer.

Burdens of Mass—Various Forms of Overwhelm

[image error]Massive Mt. Everest, tallest mountain on Earth. Photo: #276995 Simon (CC0) Pixabay.

We can have too little mass or too much mass.

The overwhelm of too little mass can take many forms. One involves extremely low air pressure—the kind we might find on a planet with too little mass, and thus too small a gravitational attraction in order to hold onto a righteous atmosphere.

Mars fits into this category, but just barely. It’s possible that Mars could retain a replenished atmosphere for several million years. Though this is a blink of the eye on the geological time scale, it’s plenty of time for new Martians to “top off” their atmosphere every few hundred thousand years to keep their world habitable. Scientists hypothesize that Mars lost its original atmosphere during the first billion years of its existence—spending the last 3.5 billion years in relative desolation.

Earth would eventually lose all its atmosphere, given enough time, but the sun will run out of primary fuel (hydrogen) long before that happens. The leakage from our upper atmosphere is slow enough to keep us safe for the full “warranty” period of our planet. And when the sun becomes a red giant star, in about 5–6 billion years, Earth will be enveloped by our ballooning primary star, becoming a brief spark of vaporized iron in the upper atmosphere of our aged sun.

On the other side of mass, too much might look like the bone-crushing gravity of a planet like Jupiter. Even if a gas giant were the right distance from its primary star to have the right temperature, if it were an Earth-like world, a gas giant has no solid surface, but a soup of thicker and thicker atmosphere which becomes liquid and then solid through immense pressure. Even if humans could build floating platforms—dirigibles—amongst the clouds of a gas giant, the gravitational pull on the human body would become dangerous and extremely uncomfortable. In such a field, your body’s mass doesn’t change, but your weight would be far greater. Amongst the clouds of Jupiter, for instance, a 100 kg (mass and Earth weight = 220.46 lbs) man would weigh 253 kg (557.8 lbs) on a weighing scale. Such gravity would make falls far more dangerous. And imagine having to carry another adult and a mid-sized child on your back all day long.

The mass of a black hole would prove to be far more dangerous. But mass alone is not the only problem. The other side of this “coin” involves something called “density.” Some scientists have hypothesized that black holes can come in all manner of masses—not just the super bruisers which used to be burnt out stellar cores—thousands of times the mass of Earth.

In 1971, British physicist, Stephen Hawking, theorized that a black hole could exist at far smaller masses. The limit for such a black hole is, theoretically, 2.2×10−8 kg or 22 micrograms (μg; 2.2 ten-thousandths of a single gram). That’s tiny.

What would make it a black hole is the density of the mass, and the event horizon which traps light and doesn’t let it escape. Closer to the physical object than this event horizon, the escape velocity exceeds the velocity of light. Gravitational distortion of such a micro-black hole could rip ordinary, nearby matter to shreds. But the gravitational field of 22 μg is extremely weak—weaker than that of a grain of sand. So, the tiniest theoretical black hole would only adversely affect nearby atoms on the distance scale of nanometers.

According to an Astronomy magazine article, “Using the Schwarzschild radius calculation, a black hole the size [mass] of Earth would have a radius of less than one inch, making it about as big as a ping pong ball” (Buongiorno).

So, imagine this black “ping pong ball” being placed on the roof of a tall building next to a skyscraper twice its height. If we could hold the black hole at that location for an extended period of time, the skyscraper would likely become warped around the intense gravitational pull of the black hold. However, this micro-black hole wouldn’t stay there very long, because it would have the gargantuan mass of our entire planet, but the “footprint” of a tiny ping pong ball. It’d be like an elephant with legs and feet as slender as needles. Before such a micro-black hole crushed its way through the building and toward the core of Earth, the nearby skyscraper would “feel” two Earth’s of gravitational force—one from below, and one from the side. And, since buildings were not designed to lay on their sides, our skyscraper would instantly suffer structural damage from the sudden Earth-strength gravitational field pulling from that side. This would be complicated by the fact that the gravitational pull on the nearby face of the skyscraper would be significantly greater than the gravitational attraction at the distance of the opposite side of the skyscraper. This difference would create immense shearing forces, like those which prevent a solid moon of any significant size from existing at the distance of Saturn’s rings from its mother planet. The shearing force between near and far faces of a moon become completely damaging to such a moon within what is called Roche’s Limit. Within that limit, a moon of any significant size would be ripped to shreds.

Such a mini-black hole would likely take huge chunks of the city, the crust, mantle and core with it, increasing its mass as it tore a hole into the side of our home planet. Would Earth survive, or would the bone-crushing density of the black hole unhinge every bit of rock or iron from nearby, soon doubling the mass of the black hole? This would change the orbit of our Moon, and threaten the stability of the orbits of nearby planets.

As we can see, the orbits of our planets in the Solar System are a finely balanced “clock mechanism” of relative stability. Introducing a large gravitational field into the midst of the Solar System could destroy that balance.

Exercising Our Control Over Mass

[image error]Massive wrecking ball used on old milling building, Dresden, Germany. Photo: Stefan Kühn (CC BY-SA 3.0).

The most basic exercises for gaining more control over anything—including mass—involve merely increasing our awareness of the thing or condition.

Increasing our reality over a given topic gives us more understanding—the result of increasing any one vertex of the A-R-C triangle (affinity, reality, communication). Understanding or knowledge can lead to control or power over a given thing or condition.

Imagine, for instance, the amount of mass required to create sufficient gravity so that any baseball we throw would never be able to escape, even if we were a professional baseball pitcher. First of all, we would need to know the maximum velocity of a thrown baseball. Next, we would need to know the escape velocity of an asteroid of a given mass. When we find an asteroid with an escape velocity equal to the speed of a fast ball thrown by a baseball pitcher, then the human could just barely throw fast enough to have the baseball leave and never come back. A more massive asteroid would prevent the baseball from ever leaving, though the ball could go into orbit about the tiny planetoid.

Besides this mental exercise, we could also play with actual objects to increase our understanding of mass.

Pick up a feather or tiny piece of paper. Consider how “heavy” is this object. Pick up a heavier object, like a metal ball bearing or fisherman’s lead sinker. Now, hold the feather or piece of paper in one hand, and the metal object in the other. Let both drop to the floor. Naturally, the feather or piece of paper takes longer, because of air resistance. On an airless world, like the Moon, or Earth without an atmosphere, both the paper or feather and the metal object would hit the floor at about the same time, if perfectly released at the same time.

Go to the corner of your house or apartment building and grab the corner with both hands. Lift the building off of its foundation. Hmm-mm! Well, that didn’t work. And the reason is simple: Our bodies were not built to lift that much mass in a gravitational field like that of Earth. And even if we had the strength, we would not necessarily have the leverage to accomplish the task. The center of mass of the building would be beyond arm’s reach.

With a friend to handle the controls of a car, have them let go of the hand brake, put the car in neutral, and while the vehicle is on level ground and not interfering with traffic, have yourself push the vehicle to make it move. Most of the resistance you experience comes from the mass of the vehicle, but a large part of the difficulty comes from the friction of the tires on the road and bearings within the axles.

If the car were floating in space, and you had a surface upon which to stand, you could throw the car. Vacuum offers zero resistance. The only resistance would be from the inertia of the car. The end result, however, would include the surface upon which you were standing moving in the opposite direction from the car. And if your toss were not entirely linear, but at an angle around your own body’s center of mass, you might find yourself tumbling through space near the surface upon which you were standing, and the car spinning through empty space in the opposite direction.

Whenever you are studying something—especially a complex relationship, like those we frequently find in science—it frequently helps to use several pieces of matter to demonstrate the relationship. For instance, a baseball might represent Earth, while a tiny toy car might represent a spaceship in orbit. Using “mass” this way can help take intellectual ideas and make them more real. This adds “mass” to conceptual ideas. This effect has proven helpful in education, where students demonstrate their understanding of the principles they are learning.

Benefits From Mass Exercises

[image error]Sometimes we feel like a ghost of our former self, requiring an infusion of “mass.” Photo: #984170_1920 Free-Photos (CC0) Pixabay.

Playing with mass increases our understanding of physical objects, and their apparent reality. This proves to be the “doorway” to controlling objects or masses. This, of course, is on a physical and intellectual level. But it can also lead to a spiritual understanding of physical matter.

Whenever a person is overwhelmed, or has experienced too much “theory” in the classroom, acquiring “mass” can help restore mental equanimity. Hugging your significant other, or hugging a pillow can help. Eating a satisfying meal can also do this. Or you can do a strenuous physical activity, like running, hiking or weight-lifting.

Sometimes, unresolved mental issues—upset, confusion, frustration and the like—can create a condition that some people call “mental mass.” The person looks as though they are carrying a heavy weight on their shoulders—or even their heads. Alleviating this mental mass can be accomplished by doing the physical activities in the previous paragraph, or by joining in an activity to help someone else. The objective is to take attention off of the egoistic self and the stuck mental pictures that are making the individual miserable.

Mass Gratitude Affirmations

Here are a few Mass Gratitude Affirmations. I encourage you to create a few of your own.

I feel so incredibly grateful that I have a body, the clothes it wears and the home in which it lives.

I feel comfortably grateful for having the things I’ve acquired which help make my life more enjoyable.

I feel so humbly grateful that my abundance of possessions allows me to share more with others to make their lives more enjoyable.

Prosperity Engine Progress

[image error]Like a wormhole in space, sometimes it seems our intentions become lost in a black hole, only to end up on the wrong side of the universe. Image: #2514312_1920 Genty (CC0) Pixabay.

Power without control can create some interesting damage. Yesterday’s article included the Virgo Supercluster Emperor Identity—an exercise of the mind and imagination for various scales of energy or prosperity.

Part of my own attention became fixed on a desire to speed up the building of my own prosperity engine, with the corollary effect of fixing my attention on relative scarcity and hardship. When we are not aware of such attention, we get manifestation far more easily.

This morning, I had funds to transfer from America to the Philippines where I currently live. This minor chore usually occurs once a week and only takes 4–5 minutes, at most. Today, the process of sending the money from one location, to an interim bank, to its final destination, encountered a big “bump” in the road.

Usually, the transfer from the American location to the interim bank took half a second, and rarely more than 5 seconds. About seven years ago, the hiccup was bad enough that the money was “lost” in transit for an entire month. The American source representative told me that they would simply have to wait for a month for the funds to be declared “missing” and automatically returned to the American source.

Today, I knew better. For instance, I started with the understanding that I am 100% responsible for everything in my life. It didn’t matter what things “looked like”—I was the one responsible. Just think about that for a moment! Feel how empowering that idea truly is.

I told my niece, Niña, about the delay and the fact that I was 100% responsible. She’s a senior in high school and merely looked at me like, “Can I go, now?”

After two hours, the money still had not appeared at the interim bank. I felt a touch of panic, remembering the full month that funds had been lost seven years ago, but then reasserted the knowledge that I am 100% responsible.

Now, if you’ve read all of this series on the Prosperity Engine, you might remember the bit about “importance” slowing down or clogging the channel for manifesting the desired object or condition. So, I relaxed. I took my conscious awareness off of the money entirely. I got back to writing this article, immersing myself in all its fun details.

My wife had come to me several times, asking, “Has it arrived, yet?” I merely had smiled, checked, found it had not arrived, and had let her know, saying, “I’ll check again in a little bit.”

The last hour went by without any requests and me lost in my writing, happily putting all of my awareness on the task, while my attention slipped into the mode of 100% responsibility.

When finally my wife came to me again, the money had finally made it.

All urgency or “importance” had been removed. The derailed attention from inadvertent scarcity had been restored to the forward-facing direction of prosperity.

Now, the work ahead will be a matter of building a new habit—one which comfortably stays aware of everything that goes into the subconscious, alerting the conscious mind of negative feelings, like the scarcity that had created today’s excitement, and restoring the desired feelings.

Coming Up Next

Tomorrow, we wrap up our look at the physical elements or dimensions which define how science measures nature—the four elements of physical science—space, time, energy and mass. We look at how all of these are interrelated to oppose the nature of God. So, our free will is given a rather black-and-white choice—spirit or physicality.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Mastering Energy

[image error]The modern symbol for energy: the light bulb. Photo: #4514505 Qimono (CC0) Pixabay.

Physical reality consists of four key dimensions or “elements” (STEM):

Space,Time,Energy, andMass

In this article, we will look at some drills we can do to master the dimension of energy.

Energy has been defined variously as,

The fifth dimension of dichotomous direction: sameness versus change.Force exerted over a distance. The opposite of humility.Money.A unit of exchange.Arrogance.

Energy gives us the wherewithal to change. In a sense, energy is “physical confidence” or the opposite of humility. Energy represents the might of reality to overwhelm or to control others. It remains “confidence without humility” which is equivalent to arrogance.

Energy-Related Concepts

Unlike space, time and mass, energy is not measured directly as a fundamental unit, but is derived from other units of measure. In fact, to describe energy, we need to refer to all three of the other “elements” or “dimensions”—space, time and mass. This is the essence of Einstein’s famous equation of energy-mass equivalence—E = mc2 (energy = mass times the velocity of light squared).

With space, we simply use a measuring stick to determine the distance in any direction. Of course, the measuring stick is made of mass, and the objects for which the distance of separation is being measured are made of mass, but the units used are purely those related to space—meters, kilometers, inches, miles, astronomical units, light years, parsecs and others. For area, we have 2-dimensional measure using square meters, square feet, hectares, acres, square kilometers, square miles and others. For volume, we have 3-dimensional measure using cubic meters, cubic feet, liters, gallons, cubic miles, cubic kilometers, cubic parsecs and others.

For time, we use something with a regular beat. The object used, whether it is a clock with a spring mechanism, a battery-driven electronic circuit, or atomic emission spectrum set to a precise frequency, may be made of mass, and may use energy, but the units employed in the actual measure are purely those of time—seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, millennia and others.

And for mass, the measure is based on the constant gravitational force of a planet on a specific mass. Of course, there is a layman’s confusion on the difference between mass and weight, but for our purposes we will use both interchangeably. Or it may be based on the energy required to move the mass to a given velocity, changing its momentum in space, nowhere near a gravitational field of any significance. But the units used are purely those of mass—atomic units, grams, ounces, pounds, kilograms, tons, metric tons and others.

For the scientific term, “energy,” we use the derived unit, Joules or ergs. In this article, we will refer to the MKS system of units (Joules), instead of the CGS (ergs). MKS refers to units based on meters, kilograms and seconds, while CGS refers to units based on centimeters, grams and seconds.

Energy in Joules can also be stated in terms of Newtons times a given distance (m), which is force times distance. Breaking this down even further, we can state the energy in terms of mass times distance squared divided by time squared. Or, stated another way, mass times velocity squared.

E = J = N * m = kg * m2 / s2

where

E = energy

J = Joules

N = Newtons

m = meters

kg = kilograms

s = seconds

“Force” and “power” are terms related to energy, but too often erroneously conflated with it.

Force is energy divided by meters (m). F = E/m, as in the force of gravity. We can rewrite this equation to solve it in terms of energy—E = F * m or J = N * m.

“Power,” the other word related to energy, like “force,” is not equivalent to “energy,” but differs in a very specific way. Power is Joules per second, or energy expended per second.

Einstein’s famous equation relates energy to mass and the velocity of light. E = m * c2. Here, m refers to mass (kg, instead of distance in meters). In MKS form, Einstein’s equation would be J = kg * m2/s2 (Joules = mass in kilograms times distance squared divided by time squared, or kilograms times the velocity of light squared).

The Limits of Energy by Scale

<<< Pix: 02 >>>

On one end of the scale, we might measure the energy required to change one electron to a higher orbit in a single atom, thus absorbing that amount of energy from an outside source, like a bit of light energy.

On the other end of the scale, we might measure the kinetic energy of an entire galaxy moving through intergalactic space. From this, we can estimate how that galaxy might behave when passing by another galaxy of a certain mass.

We might also include the Big Bang which gave birth to the universe at the extreme end of this scale. Supernovae (exploding stars) might fit several magnitudes below that extreme, but still far above the scale of moderate, human experience.

And on the moderate, middle range of the scale of energy, we have the human experience, measured in the amount of energy in a heartbeat, the energy required to boil a pot of water, or the energy required to send a rocket into orbit.

Boiling Water: An Energy Lesson

Once water starts to boil, adding more heat to it does not change the temperature. This, of course, applies to a pot of water, with heat applied to the whole pot. It also ignores the minor effects of evaporation and radiation of heat away from the pot. These forms of heat loss are insignificant compared to the main process involved with adding heat and the phase change of the liquid into a gas.

Once the phase change is complete, then the temperature can once again rise with the addition of more energy.

I had someone tell me one time that I needed to keep boiling the water so it would be as hot as possible. They didn’t realize that the temperature remains constant throughout the boiling phase.

The “Boiling Frog Syndrome” is an energy-related phenomenon in the social arena, where people are trapped by normalcy bias into accepting radical changes to a society until it becomes too late for them to do anything about it. By the time the frog realizes the water is getting too hot, the creature is too weak to jump out to safety. So too, the Jewish citizens of Nazi Germany were willing to do nothing about the first few waves of oppression. A similar phenomenon seems to be happening today across the planet on numerous levels—social, political, intellectual and even spiritual.

Burdens of Energy—Various Forms of Overwhelm

We can have too little energy or too much energy.

The overwhelm of too little energy can take many forms. One involves extreme cold that freezes the body or reduces the ability of our planet to produce predictable, abundant rainfall.

Most people don’t realize that cold climate is the source of the most abundant droughts and deserts—not warmer climate. Cold! That’s the killer climate we need to avoid, or for which we need to prepare in our current Ice Age while our current interglacial has been cooling down for the last 3,000 years.

And yes, we live in an interglacial called the Holocene—one of dozens of interglacials in the current, Pleistocene Ice Age. Scientists were a bit hasty in declaring the Pleistocene Ice Age to be over.

The overwhelm of too little energy can also come from not having enough food or even from the wrong kind of food. Sugars and grains can give us a boost of energy, but at the cost of poorer, long-term health.

Money is a kind of artificial energy—artificial because all currency is given its value by common consent of the people involved. Money gives us the freedom to do things or to acquire things.

From a shortage of money, we might starve to death, lose our home or find our self enslaved to another merely to survive.

In this sense, the power of influence, or rather the lack of it, could prove disruptive to our life, allowing others to control our destiny through oppression.

On the other side of energy, too much might look like the dangers of fire, fever or even nuclear explosions. They could include climate that becomes too hot—but that remains far from a serious concern while we remain in an Ice Age. In fact, most of Earth’s history has remained safe from too much heat, because the oceans regulate the planet’s overall temperature, keeping it cooler than it would otherwise be—from the cooling of evaporation to the cooling of cloud shading, both effects of which increase as the planet warms. All of Earth’s water makes the swings in temperature far shallower and far slower. Only where there is very little water nearby does the land find extremes in temperature—freezing at night, and scorching heat during the day.

Too much energy can also come in the form of too much food or the wrong kind of food, upsetting the chemical balance and health of the body, resulting in more prevalent disease, or far earlier death.

Imagine what human life expectancy would be with the right kind of nutrition to go along with the better hygiene and clean water our ancestors didn’t have. Add to this the knowledge of modern medical science. And when we include the techniques used in building our Prosperity Engine, unhealthy stress levels would disappear, leaving us empowered in both mind and body to heal just about any condition. It seems feasible that lifespans could reach 150 years or more when all factors are aligned with good health.

But can we have too much money, too many possessions or too much influence? Is there overwhelm to be found in these areas?

Yes, there is. A glut of prosperity can overwhelm our humility, turning us into arrogant, egotistical and dangerously destructive tyrants. These effects don’t need to happen, especially if we become more critically self-aware, more humble to the needs of others, and less attached to things—things like health, social status and influence.

Laziness

Laziness is a condition which mimics a lack of energy. But instead of reflecting an actual condition, it reveals a toxic decision.

The hypnotic spell of laziness may be locked in place by a poisonous belief—one which holds such idleness as desirable, or as a status symbol. Other attitudes may include a sense of misguided pleasure from doing nothing.

Retirement has been a major source of death for countless millions of senior citizens. The idle lack of purpose or lack of self-value can create mountains of stress in an individual that makes them far more susceptible to disease or self-harm.

More energy is created from purpose-driven activity.

There is nothing wrong with being more efficient with our work and having more time to do things with our families. That is a responsible type of lifestyle. The problem with prosperity and no purpose is that ego finds purpose in greater and greater evil. Some rich turn to evil to help assuage their increasingly extreme boredom.

Exercising Our Control Over Energy

<<< Pix: 04 >>>

The most basic exercises for gaining more control over anything—including energy—involve merely increasing our awareness of the thing or condition.

Increasing our reality over a given topic gives us more understanding—the result of increasing any one vertex of the A-R-C triangle (affinity, reality, communication). Understanding or knowledge can lead to control or power over a given thing or condition.

Imagine, for instance, the amount of energy required to lift one of our fingers half a millimeter. Or imagine the amount of energy required for a gnat to fly one centimeter. Not much! But it’s not nothing.

Now, imagine the amount of energy required to buy one gumball from a mechanical vending machine. Personally, I haven’t seen one of these things in ages, but it used to cost one penny in America—the smallest denomination of currency in those United States.

And next, imagine buying one gumball for every individual on Earth over the age of three. The cost of purchase alone could require millions of dollars. Delivery of each gumball could require a far greater amount.

Leveraging Our Imagination—Using the Virgo Supercluster Emperor Identity

Here, we will indulge in a creative fantasy in order to stretch our imaginations. Prepare yourself for an extreme “what-if.”

No matter what your financial goals are, they are nothing compared to the wealth of The Emperor.

We’re not talking about any, measly Earth emperor—but THE Emperor—ruler of the local supercluster of galaxies—sovereign of the Ten Trillion Suns.

Within the known universe, there are an estimated 10 Million superclusters, each one containing an average of 2,000–3,000 large galaxies, and 40,000–100,000 dwarf galaxies.

Our one, medium-large, Milky Way galaxy is only one of about 2,500 large galaxies of the Virgo Supercluster. And within the Milky Way we have roughly 200 Billion suns. Though most of these suns are red dwarfs, there are a sufficient number of middle-aged, yellow dwarf suns, like our own Sol (heart of the Solar System), to give us tens of thousands of Earth-like worlds.

Our Earth is currently valued at a little more than $5 Quadrillion. And with an estimated 200 Million Earth-like worlds in The Emperor’s domain, his net worth hovers around $100 Sextillion (a one followed by 23 zeroes).

Now, imagine that we discover you to be The Emperor, visiting Earth incognito. The idea of gaining a trillion dollars seems instantly easy, because this paltry amount is less than “pocket lint” to The Emperor. But The Emperor is far more wealthy than even the above estimate.

Though most of the other worlds in your domain are not as valuable as Earth, they are not worth nothing. Far from it. The value of the untapped resources is nothing short of astronomical—both literally and figuratively.

As Emperor of the Virgo Supercluster, your support staff have infiltrated Earth’s cultures to assist you at a moment’s notice with any help you desire.

In this fantasy, The Emperor has no concern of being bumped off by a distant cousin. All of the advanced societies know and love their Emperor. Any assassin would not last while the Emperor grows a new body past infancy.

Why would you visit such a small and sparse group of galaxies within the Supercluster, especially when there are numerous, far larger clusters than the Local Group of galaxies (three large galaxies: the Milky Way, Andromeda Galaxy [M31] and Triangulum Galaxy [M33], and numerous dwarfs)? Perhaps you’re scouting talent. Or perhaps you merely thrill at practicing the building of a new mega-fortune from scratch using your own Prosperity Engine.

And taking a century or two for a vacation is nothing in the life of The Supercluster Emperor.

The Emperor Perspective

What’s the value in an exercise like this? It stretches our perception for what it means to be rich or to be poor. To The Emperor, everyone on Earth is dirt poor. Even the Rothschilds and the Rockefellers are paupers on this backwater planet. So, by arriving on Earth incognito, The Emperor is slumming it. A local staff of a thousand can help The Emperor with anything he requires, but he likes to wing it, testing the limits of his mental and spiritual, poise and stamina.

So, the next time you feel any hint of difficulty with gaining your prosperity, remember your “inner Emperor.” Let the confidence based in that viewpoint sustain you.

Of course, even The Emperor persona has its limitations. Ultimately, we want to cultivate the viewpoint of a “Conduit for Infinite Prosperity,” where any amount has zero importance. But this exercise of the imagination will help us approach the perfection of the Prosperity Engine.

Benefits From Energy Exercises

<<< Pix: 05 >>>

If ever we feel pressed for funds (scarcity) or bored with our prosperity (“too much” or “lacking altruistic purpose”), we can manipulate energy to accomplish just what we need. We can actually create energy, breaking the law of conservation of energy and mass.

Having energy, however, can create in some individuals a sense of entitlement or arrogance. This happens to the rich who look down their noses at the disadvantaged in society. In a very real sense, the physical dimension or element of energy is opposite to the spiritual element of humility.

Being humble to the needs of others by anonymously flowing energy to them—food, money, medicine or other resources—can contribute to the overall health of humanity. This is the heroic thing to do. And practicing these energy exercise, and others, can help us loosen our grip on energy, giving up the scarcity of attachment, and allowing the abundance of generosity.

Energy Gratitude Affirmations

Here are a few Energy Gratitude Affirmations. I encourage you to create a few of your own.

I feel so incredibly grateful for my beating heart, my breathing lungs and the energy to move my body.

I feel comfortably grateful for having the money I currently make.

I feel relaxed and gratefully patient to the immense fortune headed my way.

I feel wonderfully comfortable anonymously sharing my immense prosperity with others who need money more than I.

Prosperity Engine Progress

One delightful result of all this work—both looking at the details that might go into building a Prosperity Engine, and doing the work of cleaning up the beliefs involved—is the effect of what I call stirring up the “dust.” Though this can seem painful, at times, I have immense gratitude for this “dust” storm because I means potential progress, especially if I do the work to clean up all that mental “dust.”

In a sense, this requires a great deal of internal “housecleaning.” But one thing I realized today is that we don’t need to clean up everything in order to start seeing the benefits. This might be obvious to some, but not to others, and thus needs to be said.

What needs to be cleaned up are the active “beliefs” or subconscious “feelings” about the elements of our lives. The dormant feelings can be cleaned up later, and we should not put that off too long. Better to be proactive about such things, otherwise we might find a life-ending “karma boomerang” hitting us when we least expect it. Even then, we need to practice gratitude and forgiveness. But all other things being equal, it seems the more responsible thing to do for us to take care of all such “housecleaning” before it becomes a hazard to the current body or to others.

What we need to accomplish to start running our Prosperity Engine I call the “Zero Spot”—the point of zero ego on all active vectors of attention and intention. In other words, no fear or aversion on the negative side of zero ego, and no desire or need on the positive side of zero ego. This applies particularly to wealth, in the case of our Prosperity Engine, but it remains helpful to include other topics, too, like health, romance, relationships, social interaction, communication, productivity, ethical behavior, etc.

Each morning for the last few weeks, I have woken up each morning to a new flurry of emotional “dust”—things like worry, guilt, subdued panic, sadness, doubt, fear, and even the one bout where I became critically aware of the seemingly nebulous “blah” mentioned a few days ago (Paramita Abundance).

I have been assaulted by all manner of negative feelings—temptations like anger, retribution, conflict, desire for chocolate, and even a need to prove myself. All of these are positive or negative intentions borne out of ego, but all negative from the standpoint of spirit. This periodic “dust” storm of the soul could be overwhelming to some, but I merely “dust” off my mental self, and smile with gratitude that I’m generating so much activity and change.

I don’t worry about creating an empowering decision (belief) for each bit of “dust.” I merely take one at random and handle it, converting the negative to a positive, feeling grateful for the new meaning, and then taking the next one at random.

In a way, it’s like swimming through a cesspool. On one level, it’s not at all pleasant, but from a larger perspective I feel great joy at the progress. Even if my actions don’t appear to be making progress—figuratively treading water—each time I cast my awareness in that direction, I gain new understanding of the overall shape and texture of the challenge ahead. This “Work,” as David Bayer calls it, is something for which I remain deeply grateful, because finally I’m moving in the direction of stable, constant creation, instead of sporadic, occasional miracles.

The more I do this, the more the lessons of the Ancient Masters—Lao Tzu, Yeshua Christ of Nazareth, Siddhartha Gautama Buddha and others—become more vividly real and the more those lessons make sense.

Dr. Joe Dispenza once said, “The emotional signature of gratitude means, ‘The event has already happened,’ or ‘It’s happening to you.’ So, the moment you open your heart and you feel gratitude, well, that emotion, then, is telling the body that the experience has already occurred. And the thought, then, can make it into the body because it’s [the body is] consistent with the thought.”

Said another way, the subconscious mind is no longer refusing to accept a different kind of thought, but now welcomes it. The two thoughts—conscious and subconscious—are now in harmony. But this is only the superficial, physical effect which activates creation and manifestation. This is the method of tricking the subconscious into pointing in the right direction so the spirit “asks” for the “right” item, rather than from the mystery package from the dark past. And gratitude activates the “not know” or “resting” or “allowing” which produces the persistence of the desired manifestation.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Mastering Time

[image error]Landscape of change — a key quality representing time. Image: #4684217_1920 EnriqueLopezGarre (CC0) Pixabay.

Physical reality consists of four key dimensions or “elements” (STEM):

Space,Time,Energy, andMass

In this article, we will look at some drills we can do to master the dimension of time.

Time has been defined variously as,

The fourth dimension of dichotomous direction: past-future.Persistence.The opposite of truth.Irresponsibility.Resting.Allowing.Change.

Time allows freedom to change, but it also allows us to shirk responsibility. After all, we don’t need to create the entire universe from moment to moment. Because of time, our instantaneous creation suddenly takes on a life of its own as if it were creating itself.

But notice this: time does not give us the physical ability to change—only the freedom. For the ability to change, we need energy, and that’s coming up tomorrow.

This is pretty cool stuff. And the opposite is also true: Take responsibility back for a creation, and the object or condition no longer is “creating itself,” but is reduced back to its instant of creation—its “instantaneity,” or “state or quality of existence as a timeless creation.” If we remain in the time stream (as our human bodies naturally do), then the next moment, the “instant of creation” is in the past and the thing or condition “appears” to have vanished.

As Christ said, know the truth and the truth will set you free. That truth is responsibility—the total responsibility he tried to teach all of us by dying on the cross—taking 100% responsibility for all the sins of all time.

Interesting how all of the Ancient Wisdom is coming back to us with a new perspective.

The Limits of Time by Scale

[image error]A key measure of distance in the universe-at-large involves the time it takes for light to traverse that extremely large distance. Thus, a “light year” is a unit of interstellar distance. NGC 4526 (or 4560), 55 million light years distance, with supernova, SN1994D, glaring brightly on the lower left. Photo: NASA-ESA (CC BY 3.0).

On one end of the scale, time is measured in nanoseconds. This is the scale used to measure the beat of an atom and the frequency of visible light.

On the other end of the scale, time is measured in giga-years (“giga” being the prefix for billions). This is the scale of galactic movement, collision and other interaction. This is also the scale of the maturation of planets and star systems, making worlds relatively safe for life, after the early millennia of heavy meteor showers.

And on the moderate, middle range of the scale of time, we have the human experience, measured in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades and (across generations) centuries.

Burdens of Time—Various Forms of Overwhelm

We can have too little time or too much time.

Too little time can include the burden of seconds to figure out how to diffuse a bomb.

Too little time can also be the end product of too much procrastination. Suddenly, the project is due and we haven’t started.

Too much time is sometimes boring, and being “bored to tears” can be extremely stressful. A convict with twenty years on his hands will try to make those two decades go a little faster.

The two extremes of time overwhelm can collide when something we need to create will take too much time, but the reason we need it will have passed in too short a period.

Procrastination, Hurry and Late

Procrastination is one of the great evils of time. We know we need to do something, but keep putting it off. Something about the project has us feeling crowded—doubt that we can do it, a lack of passionate interest, a desire to be doing other things, the feeling that doing this will prevent us from doing something else we want to do, and a myriad of other possible reasons.

Procrastination is a time-related illness of bad behavior. But we don’t need to remain trapped by this kind of character trait.

My first big breakthrough on time barriers came in the early 1980s. At the time, I was working at Julie Finger Design, on Melrose Place, in Los Angeles—one block from the ritzy part of La Cienega Boulevard and all its fancy antique shops and high-priced restaurants. This was not far from the even more exclusive city of Beverly Hills.

Several times, I found myself uncomfortably late for work. Thankfully, the employer wasn’t a time Nazi, so the infractions were not counted as “fatal” or “dangerous” to my employment. Still, the owner needed my services and didn’t want to have to wait for them.

One day, I found my subconscious (feeling) mind busy with extra noisy background chatter about being late. I heard the running monologue mention something about needing a reason for being late. Quite often, I chose the difficulty of finding a parking space. This was not always easy in such a popular part of town. Nearby residential streets were not always available because of street cleaning on certain days. Parking fines in this area were uncomfortably expensive, and the design study had only enough parking in back for the core staff and a customer.

[image error]Fantasy art of a surrealistic landscape and a house built on top of a tall rock. Time takes on a different feeling in such a world. Illustration: #4092127_1920 Kellepics (CC0) Pixabay.

But look at this: My subconscious “wanted” an excuse for being late. It was actively looking for one or more excuses. When I realized that this self-sabotage, alone, could have contributed to me being late so I could continue to use the excuses prepared by the subconscious, I felt the elation of freedom. Now, I was taking responsibility for that confused, background creation. And suddenly, I started finding parking spaces within seconds of walking distance. Sweet!

And then, I discovered a nearby apartment which was not nearly as expensive as most of the others in the neighborhood. Soon, I had guaranteed parking nearby, but didn’t have to drive, because it only took two minutes to walk to work.

Years later, when I started doing work online, I found myself wishing for a blackout so I’d have an excuse for taking longer on a project than my original estimate. When I realized this “repeat mistake,” I switched from depending on an excuse to making more realistic estimates that allowed me time for the unpredictable.

We are each powerful children of God and we are constantly creating. The key problem is that we frequently don’t know what we’re creating. That’s because we have not yet developed the ability to hear the background chatter. We don’t yet have enough skill shining the light of conscious awareness into the subconscious. And we have not yet developed the skill to convert negative attitudes/feelings/decisions/beliefs in the subconscious into positive, empowering beliefs.

Part of mastering time involves becoming more critically aware of our own past and current creation with time.

Missed Withhold, Friend of Bad Karma

In Scientology spiritual technology, one gem of wisdom involves something called the “missed withhold.”

Now, if you’ve heard only bad things about this modern religion, you’re cheating yourself of some powerful, spiritual insights. If you’ve taken Scientology courses or counseling and now dismiss everything about it because of the bad press Scientology has gotten, then you are throwing out the baby with the bathwater—the good with the bad. Don’t cheat yourself. Be smart.

The “missed withhold” is a phenomenon of human behavior that likely has many other names in the literature of psychology and psychiatry. The object of this phenomenon can be called a “crime,” a “sin,” a “mistake” or some other type of infraction for which the individual feels embarrassed and tends to want to hide or withhold the details about it from others.

When someone else says or does something that makes the individual think their secret may no longer be hidden, their subconscious attention focuses on the event that remains withheld. This generates within the subconscious a feeling of worry or another variation of fear, and this triggers in them a tendency to lash out in anger, or to criticize the other person for some perceived error or infraction. The criticism may well be valid, but the fact that criticism (negative comment) is happening indicates a missed withhold. This seems to be a form of emotional or identity projection, but it’s also an inner defense mechanism.

Scientology counselors know that, when their client becomes critical, a withhold (crime, sin, infraction) has been missed. And there are simple procedures that must be run to clear up the missed withhold before the main body of counseling can continue. The missed withhold creates an impenetrable barrier that prevents progress, because all of the person’s subconscious attention is stuck on the “overt” (“bad”) act.

Not taking responsibility is how things or conditions persist. And if we have a barrier, like a missed withhold sticking our attention, we need to take full responsibility for it before we can move forward. And this is good advice in any form of spiritual progress—whether it be Scientology, meditation, prayer or otherwise.

In fact, part of my morning routine always consists of the Lord’s Prayer, which I don’t start until my “ruds are in.” The term “ruds” is short for “rudiments” or “rudimentary conditions.” This includes handling all missed withholds (MW/H). I don’t feel connected to my true spiritual self until this is handled, and my prayer would feel shallow and powerless unless I’m truly connected.

A similar effect is what I call the “Karma Trigger.”

As physical, egoistic beings, we remain action-reaction (Newtonian) creatures. A crime or sin in the past will come haunt us in the present, especially if something in our current environment is similar enough (visual, auditory or conceptual) to that past event. When we do something selfishly, we tend to stick our subconscious attention on that act. Remember the missed withhold? Triggering karma is like the withhold that is missed or triggered, creating an avalanche of action to protect egoistic self. But it also tends to speed up and intensify the bad karma we are resisting. (And remember Christ’s wisdom not to “resist” evil?)

Gratitude can dissolve bad karma. But let’s stop calling it “bad” karma. All karma is good, because it is part of the interactive learning system called the “Physical Universe.” The karma is merely a wake-up call for us to take responsibility for our past actions. Awareness tends to do that; gratitude makes it a “done” deal.

And one thing has become crystal clear to me: We no longer have to fear the pain and suffering of karma’s reactive return of “dying by the sword” by which we had lived. Remember in the Lord’s Prayer the bit about God forgiving us just as we forgive others? If our attention is on resentment, then we will receive more reasons to feel resentment—including other people and God not forgiving us. And what does God not forgiving us look like? It looks like triggered karma! Action-reaction! For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is Newtonian physics and it is a core behavior of physical reality that ties in powerfully with human behavior and growth. Live by the sword; die by the sword. Reap what we sow. If we plant a lifetime with selfishness, then we will experience another lifetime at the effect end of selfishness. And this is a very good reason why the “effortless life” or “charmed life” is so rare. Everyone is busy keeping the karmic cycle going, because so few people interrupt the repetition with responsibility and gratitude.

Remember: Things persist so long as we don’t take responsibility for them. And even a light touch of conscious awareness is equivalent to a healthy dose of responsibility.

Exercising Our Control Over Time

[image error]Time seems to stand still when we have awe inspiring beauty before us. Photo: #3338589 Mohamed_Hassan (CC0) Pixabay.

Remember the old saying? “Time flies when we’re having fun!” This does not affect clocks or scientific instruments for measuring the passage of time. It does, however, greatly affect our individual perception of time. And while some people entirely dismiss the “subjective” perception of anything, such perception is a very valuable distinction to consider in our learning and our spiritual growth.

Just beyond the source of “subjective” perception (egoistic effect) resides the source of “objective” creation (spiritual cause). There is a point in our internal work where perception turns into creation—where we are no longer receiving what physical reality has to offer, but are now telling physical reality what to do.

This is the difference between the Effect Model of life and the Cause Model of life.

The Effect Model is part victim and part perpetrator. The Cause Model is neither victim nor perpetrator, but instead stands above both as creator.

If we ever find something in our life that we don’t like, take 100% responsibility for it. Don’t complain. Don’t mope around being resentful. Remember the missed withhold? By taking responsibility, we suck the time right out of that thing or condition.

Another exercise to manipulate time involves the wisdom of being at cause rather than at effect. Again, the Cause Model comes to the rescue.

Let us say we are doing some very boring activity which requires a lot of waiting. Instead of sitting there, being at the effect of time’s “slowness,” start to create the effects and environment. If we’re waiting for a film processor to pull a long stretch of exposed film through the chemical baths and into the drier, don’t wait for it to finish. In our mind’s eye, we can ride the film through each bath like a cowboy riding a bronco at the rodeo.

And another exercise involves adding time. When we have a deadline, including a life-or-death deadline—a line beyond with people die if we don’t finish our work.

The natural tendency when faced with a scarcity is to grasp more tightly and to remain more completely attached. This is the Effect Model of approach. Instead, we need the Cause Model which is more faithful, relaxed and peaceful.

By allowing time to have control, we gain control over time. By letting time go, we get time to come back to us. By making time unimportant, but by simultaneously remaining grateful for the time that we do have, we get more of it.

This is similar to the effect with space which accompanied my Miracle on Wilshire Boulevard. Ahead of me were three lanes packed with bumper-to-bumper traffic, right in the middle of rush hour. With a potent prayer, suddenly the three lanes of traffic became two, cars from the center lane impossibly squeezed into the outer lanes, left and right. There was no room for them, yet room was made.

Here, we can add time where there is none. We can accomplish things that would otherwise require more time than we have. This is the effect of living from the viewpoint of spirit rather than the viewpoint of the physical cog in the machine of reality.

Addition to Space Exercises

Yesterday, we talked about gaining greater control over space. Today’s discussion inspired me to think of another connection on space that we can play with: Loving something in order to move it closer.

In Scientology, the wisdom of the A-R-C triangle comes in handy. This insight tells us that Affinity, Reality and Communication, within an individual tend to track together on any topic. This also allows us to control one to improve the other two. Combined, they operate as a whole which we call “Understanding.” So, A + R + C = U.

Here’s an example.

Let’s say our significant other hates us because they think we cheated on them. We can’t force them to believe us (reality). We can’t force them to love us (affinity). We can’t even force them to talk to us (communication).

But let’s say we’re innocent (this lifetime), but merely pulled in a karma trigger of past, very real betrayal. This detail doesn’t really matter. The technique described, here, works no matter what the actual circumstances.

Love and space are opposites. God created it this way so we could decide for ourselves whether or not to give up physical reality and acquire the perfection of love, or to stay in physical reality and suffer the imperfection of occasional physical “love” (selfish need).

To decrease space, we need to increase love and understanding. And we can do this through various forms of communication and reality.

When the other person won’t get within 50 meters, it’s hard to do anything directly. So, we rely on the indirect methods.

We show up at favorite locations with other friends (reality). We act happy, despite the evident sadness of missing our loved one. We talk (communication) to mutual friends about our plight and our unwavering love (affinity) for the other. We understand their hurt, but say it is unfounded, or based on a misunderstanding.

We persist with all of the above and other variations, increasing the “reality” that we care (affinity). And our happiness and lack of criticism tends to add evidence that we are not guilty (more reality).

Naturally, applying all of the above is no guarantee. It’s quite possible that the significant other is hiding their own missed withhold. We need to remain fully willing to give up our connection to the other person, while maintaining the unconditional love of never-ending generosity and commitment toward them.

But this kind of exercise manipulates the natural effects of space perception which controls how we feel for each other.

Benefits From Time Exercises

[image error]Breathtaking beauty always seems to distort our sense of time. We can use this effect to our advantage. Photo: #3609982 dilshad3 (CC0) Pixabay.

If ever we feel pressed for time (scarcity) or bored (too much), we can manipulate time to accomplish just what we need.

We can create more confidence and more interest.

The theoretical benefit to track and field sports from anchors in space may also apply to our growing expertise with time. Of course, this will need to be tested. Can world records be broken by gaining a better viewpoint on time, creation, responsibility and “resting (allowing)?”

I would be interested in hearing from any coaches who want to try out this unique advantage.

Time Gratitude Affirmations

Here are a few Time Gratitude Affirmations which came to mind as I was writing this article. Feel free to create your own. If you discover one you particularly like, consider sharing. Unlike those who live with scarcity, by sharing your good creation, you actually create more abundance for everyone.

I feel so incredibly grateful for every discovery of missed withhold and karma trigger, and for taking full responsibility for each.

I feel comfortably grateful for having all the time I need for everything I want to do.

I feel relaxed and gratefully patient to allow every good thing headed my way to take all the time it needs along its journey.

Prosperity Engine Progress

Each day seems to have its wonderful improvements. Some seem relatively minor. And some seem like huge breakthroughs. Still, there is a lingering discomfort with change. As I become more aware of this feeling’s details, it tends to disappear.

And sometimes a daily routine loses its apparent potency. This is not the time to give up on it. In fact, quite often such loss of apparent traction means that there is something deeper that is starting to surface within the subconscious, toward the conscious mind. Continuing with the routine, while simultaneously being grateful for the change in “apparent potency,” will help nudge the breakthrough to the surface. The best time to take a break from any routine—exercise, mental or spiritual—is when a breakthrough has been achieved.

Any sense that a routine is no longer helping should be followed by a relaxation, instead of greater force. Continue the routine, but increase the power of “letting go.” Don’t insist on any specific result while doing the routine. Don’t let any frustration or disappoint creep in. Find ways to make the routine, and the reason for doing it, unimportant.

I would like to have some kind of measuring stick, like a software progress bar, which shows how close I’m getting to having the Prosperity Engine complete, but it doesn’t work like that, at least not yet that I’ve seen. We each have an unknown number of mental and karmic barriers between us and our goal. And going from a partially completed Prosperity Engine, to one that is running full speed, is more like going from 0 to 1—from nothing to 100%. This is going from being physical to being “pregnant” with the spirit of creation.

There may well be a better graphic representation for Prosperity Engine progress. If you think of one, please leave a note, below.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Mastering Space

[image error]Mountain sunset giving a great sense of depth with light and shadow. Photo: #1048995_1920 Oimheidi (CC0) Pixabay.

Physical reality consists of four key dimensions or “elements” (STEM):

Space,Time,Energy, andMass

In this article, we will look at some drills we can do to master this dimension of space.

Space has been defined variously as,

The three dimensions of dichotomous direction: up-down, left-right, forward-backward.Volume.The viewpoint of dimension.Separateness.

Space allows freedom of location, but it also allows separation. In this regard, space is sort of the opposite of love. The greater the distance between people, the more challenged is their love for one another. And when two people hate each other, the “space” between them is huge, even when they are sitting right next to one another.

The Limits of Space by Scale

[image error]Distant galaxy, NGC 4450, 50 million light years away, part of the Virgo cluster of galaxies. A lot of empty space in between. Copyright Adam Block, Mount Lemmon SkyCenter, UofAz (CC BY-SA 3.0 US).

On one end of the scale, space is measured in Ångstroms or nanometers. This is the scale used to measure the distance between the electrons and the nucleus within an atom.

On the other end of the scale, space is measured in giga-parsecs or giga-light years (“giga” being the prefix for billions)—distances between galactic superclusters, or the size of the known universe. We live in the Virgo supercluster which is one of about 10 million superclusters in the known universe.

And on the moderate, middle range of the scale of space, we have the size of planets and the regions within a galaxy. But most people are more familiar with the smaller end of the scale, from micrometers to hundreds of kilometers—from the speck in our eye to the size of our own country or continent.

Burdens of Space—Various Forms of Overwhelm

[image error]Lonely highway in the middle of the semi-desert southwest of the United States. A long way to walk for gas. More space. Photo: #5499156_1920 Manniguttenberger (CC0) Pixabay.

Suffering can come in many forms. One set of suffering involves overwhelm of extremes using the four elements of physical reality—in today’s case, too little or too much space.

An example of too little space might involve an avalanche of rock or a cave-in while working a mine. It might also involve piling into an automobile already crowded with passengers. Sitting on someone else’s lap could prove to be awkward or even more uncomfortable. Such crowding could trigger claustrophobia, or a strong case of death from being crushed—or a broad range of discomforts in between the two.

An example of too much space might involve the distance to the next town to get gas for our car, or the distance across the desert to find fresh water. It could even include the immense distance to the next star system when our heart aches to explore other planets like Earth.

In each case of overwhelm, we are left with the sense of importance—finding more space, or less space.

But how do we do this, especially when there are so many “significant” barriers in our way?

Exercising Our Control Over Space

[image error]Our imagination is a powerful tool, especially for “playing” with space. Daring to imagine a different perspective. Image: #3000060_1920 PatoLenin (CC0) Pixabay.

We are not the body we wear. Our physical, Homo sapiens body resides in the space-time continuum, but it is not us. While writing my book, Four Elements of God, I came to realize that the four elements of the physical realm were opposites to God’s four elements. More on that in Friday’s summary article on the four “elements” or “dimensions” of physical reality. (Note: Here, I’m not talking of chemical elements.)

We can gain control over anything by increasing our familiarity with it. This goes for riding a bicycle, typing on a keyboard, playing a musical instrument and manipulating the elements of physical reality.

One way to increase our power over space is to “see” or “feel” space. Now, since space is invisible, and all we ever really see with our human eyes are the objects embedded within space, we have to use a different sensory method. This will involve our conscious mind and imagination to “view” space intellectually. But then, it helps to stretch beyond this physical connection to a spiritual one—to “feel” the space with our spiritual awareness.

First, if you’re sitting in a regular room with standard floor, ceiling and four walls, close your eyes and imagine reaching back behind you to the two corners near the ceiling where they meet the wall behind you, and the walls on either side of you. Then, imagine reaching forward to hold the other two corners near the ceiling. Finally, imagine holding onto the four corners at the floor. In all, you should be holding onto eight corners.

Another exercise involves looking at a distant object, like a building out your window. First, look at the building, then picture the distance between you and that structure. Picture yourself holding that space in your mind.

And another exercise involves changing the scale of your viewpoint. At one edge of your natural perception, look at a grain of sand, salt or sugar. Imagine walking on that grain as if it were a huge boulder the relative size of a mountain.

[image error]The epitome of “space”: Earth from orbit with a backdrop of a galaxy. Composite Image: #3608029 Lumina_Obscura (CC0) Pixabay.

Next, imagine floating in space with Earth the size of a golf ball, the Moon the size of a large pea (~1 cm). With the golf ball Earth just off the left side of our scaled up nose, the Moon stands about 1.3 meters away. About half a kilometer down below, the sun is a hot, huge beach ball about 4.66 meters (~15 feet) in diameter. Neptune—the outermost, full-sized planet—sits some 15 km to the side, at about 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) in diameter—somewhat larger than our Earth. The nearest star system to our sun is down below and to the right, about 138,449 km away on this scale. This distance would be about 36% of the full-scale distance from Earth to the Moon.

As you can see from this last exercise, space beyond our Earth is largely empty. There’s a lot of nothing between stars and planets. A lot of loneliness.

Now, picture the distance between Sol (our sun) and Alpha Centauri as only 10 cm (~4 inches) apart. Our sun is a moderately weak pinpoint of light. Alpha Centauri consists of three tiny dots of light—one similar to our own sun, another one-third as bright, but 0.01 mm apart, and a third, feeble flicker 4.7 mm from the other two. The three members of Alpha Centauri are, in decreasing order of brightness, Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B and Proxima Centauri (Alpha Centauri C). Alpha Centauri A is about 30,380 times as bright as Proxima.

[image error]Space narrowing between two galaxies — NGC 4567-4568, also known as the Butterfly Galaxies or Siamese Twins, 60 million light years away. Also part of the Virgo cluster of galaxies. Each of these galaxies contains some several hundred billion suns. Photo: Judy Schmidt (CC BY 2.0).

And on this scale, our Milky Way galaxy (our home galactic city of stars) is 2.29 km across. Our nearby, neighboring galaxy in the constellation of Andromeda, Messier 31 (M31 or NGC 224), similar in size to our own, is about 58 km away on this scale. M31 is the only full galaxy visible to the naked eye in our night sky.

On this second, reduced scale, the edge of the known universe would be about 316,000 km away. And on this scale, even the largest stars would be like sparkles of dust.

Benefits From Space Exercises

There are several benefits from this type of exercise. If ever you’re feeling claustrophobic, these could help. Or if you’re ever experiencing cabin fever or similar, this might also help alleviate some of the symptoms.

From the viewpoint of the last exercise, with 10 cm separating star systems, our problems back on Earth suddenly look “dangerously” insignificant—having as close to zero importance as we can get without actually being zero. This level of unimportance makes it far easier to picture (and to feel) an abundance of solutions to our insignificant problems.

One other possible benefit involves sports, but this requires some testing. If you know of any sports coaches, you might suggest they use these exercises on their track stars to see if it improves their times—especially their indoor times. A curious fact of track and field is that indoor times always seem to be longer than outdoor times. I suspect it has something to do with the runner’s sense of space. If they can picture having a set of anchor points outside of the building within which the meet is being held, they may be able to achieve “outdoor” times for their indoor competitions. I’d like to know if this hypothesis works. I wouldn’t mind being involved on such an experiment. For instance, I wouldn’t want the test of this hypothesis fail from a lack of belief or lack of enthusiasm.

Creating Space

Just as time seems to fly when we’re having fun, there might be a similar effect with space. Perhaps this is what happens when I feel huge and simultaneously close to all of humanity.

Space Gratitude Affirmations

(Section added 2020:0922)
Affirmations are an old idea in the self-help community. Sometimes they work; sometimes they don’t. Now, of course, we know of the missing ingredient: a strong, positive feeling, like gratitude.

The following is only one example of an unlimited list of possibilities. Create your own and add whatever details mean the most to you. But most importantly, use the affirmation regularly so that the feeling becomes a new habit.

I feel so incredibly grateful to have all the space I need to get done everything I want to do.

My enthusiasm has improved. What is nice is that I no longer have to use the techniques detailed in my book, Taking Charge, to accomplish this. I’m no longer spending all my time fighting the source of inner self-sabotage.

I fell off the wagon, today, with regard to doing my daily routines. But with the successes I’m having, I’m not at all concerned about missing a day. The contrast of a day without might also help give me more clues.

Tomorrow, we look at the physical element or dimension of time, continuing our exercises to achieve spiritual mastery over physical reality.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Paramita Abundance

Prosperity Engine Progress

[image error]Symbolic of the barriers to our Prosperity Engine. A dense fog in a forest making it difficult to see anything. Some parts of the subconscious are this “difficult” to parse out. Photo: #471825_1920 HuntingSchool (CC0) Pixabay, contrast.

Before we jump into the main topic of today’s article, I need to share a major, personal breakthrough. And wouldn’t you know it, this ties into today’s topic perfectly.

I woke up this morning with the usual “blahs”—sort of an emotional gray—cheerless and indistinct.

I attempted to sharpen the focus on it, but all I got were fuzzy impressions of a collection of varying negative feelings: hopeless, worry, frustration, fear, but none of them strong or distinct.

Then, I realized that the “blah” itself was strong and distinct—as distinct as a fog can be. I’ve been sitting with this feeling all my life and tended to welcome grief, anger, worry, rage, conflict and others as a break from the boring gray of “blah.”

This “blah” doesn’t call attention to itself, and in fact, tends to bounce awareness away from it while maintaining a strong grasp on the subconscious (feeling) attention.

In a way, it’s kind of like anything we take for granted—air, gravity, time, space, etc. Most of us, for instance, almost never see our nose, even though it remains in constant line of sight accessibility. This “blah” was like that, but with several tricks to make it relatively invisible.

I’ve been on the verge of discovering this for weeks, and only know this fact in hindsight. Just before this discovery, I was revisiting the idea that without self-concern, there are no limitations. Perhaps the “blah” is an amalgam of egoism itself—the inward attention of all forms of self-concern. This “blah” remained a perfect limitation, as perfect as any physical thing can be.

Also, I was thinking about how God will take care of us, so there’s no need for any worry or fear.

Maybe this is the darkness of the subconscious and thus not entirely dark—merely a distraction of indistinctness or fuzziness so the casual glance of the conscious mind couldn’t latch onto it.

The juice of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Dichotomies (Good and Evil, etc.) is bland—a mix of sweet, sour, bitter and others.

I’m so glad I had powered up my awareness with all the negative—as well as the positive—emotions (see Prosperity Engine — Update — Getting Comfortable With Change and the Unknown, section on “Added Power: Prosperity Engine Turbo-Charged Rocket Thrusters”). The extra energy helped me to crack through the self-imposed blindness I had suffered.

Everything that happens to us is a clue to what we need to look at.

[image error]The perfection of a stack of balanced rocks. Symbolic of the paramita clarity required to build our Prosperity Engine. Photo: #2020100_1920 NanDhukumar (CC0) Pixabay.

Yes, that’s right: Everything that happens to us is a clue to what we need to look at. As spiritual beings, we are struggling to learn the lessons God has set before us in this training ground called the physical universe. Clarification: The struggle takes place on the physical side of our dual nature; the spiritual side does not know of things like difficulty, effort or struggle.

As spiritual beings, we sit outside of time, asleep (spiritually “dead”) with an umbilical cord attached to the “Now Cursor” of physical reality. Our human lives are our “dreams.” At least, this is my current, figurative take on everything.

On the physical side of things, we are dichotomous (Newtonian, action-reaction) beings. We usually obey the laws of gravity, momentum and inertia. We obey the law of the conservation of energy. This obedience is not out of direct choice, because our selfish self (egoistic, physical, separate) would have us break those laws on occasion in order to save our life, or to gain a critical advantage. But a purely physical being cannot break physical law. It doesn’t have the leverage to do so. For example, there is no location within a car to place a lever and fulcrum in order to move the car with that lever.

Karma Can Clog Up Our Prosperity Engine

[image error]A dangerous cliff. Photo: #1030825_1920 Free-Photos (CC0) Pixabay.

Karma is merely a function of egoistic action-reaction. Push someone over a cliff and then someone pushes us over a cliff.

Live by the sword; die by the sword (Matthew 26:52).

What is truly interesting about this effect is that karma is not always (and maybe never is) instantaneous. And for good reason.

“The Lord is longsuffering [patient], and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation” (Numbers 14:18).

Our human brain and attitudes may not be ready to make the best use of karma. We may need to switch things up in order to benefit from such return tragedy—an event which is simply a Newtonian reaction through ego.

For example: A psychopathic mob boss enjoys killing others and taking their fortunes. And he dies of old age, peacefully and comfortably in the villa built on the blood and bones of countless others. Some people might think that Jesus was wrong when he said that those who live by the sword shall die by the sword. But the hardened heart of that mob boss would not have benefited from dying by the violence by which he had lived. We have to wait 3–4 generations for that spiritual “sweet spot.”

The mob boss dies, is reborn into a poor, religious family of hard-working siblings. They build a life of prosperity, but one day attract the attention of a new mobster who kills the siblings and takes the prosperity of their hard work. As the reincarnated mob boss dies, he prays, “Oh, God! Why is this happening to me? I’ve been good. Why do you abandon us?” And naturally, God had done no such thing. In fact, the gift of karma was not appreciated for what it was.

God’s Logic Is What Powers Our Prosperity Engine

[image error]The perfection of a drop of water splashing into a calm pool of water. Photo: #1759703_1920 Qimono (CC0) Pixabay.

Remember the false logic of Lex Luthor (used by many atheists) to “prove” that an omniscient and omnipotent God could not exist (Prosperity Engine — Update — Leveraging the Negative, section on “Using Negative ‘Irresponsibility’ in Our Prosperity Engine”).

God’s wisdom transcends the simplistic, 1-dimensional logic of people like Richard Dawkins, or fictional characters like Lex Luthor (and the real-life authors who write their words).

Whenever ANYTHING happens in our current life, we are 100% responsible for it.

If we shirk that responsibility, or blame someone else, we are putting a fog of more “blah” over Truth—the Truth that would otherwise set us free.

Instead of letting any event annoy, frustrate or anger us, we need to look for the gratitude to complete the karma that we had set in motion generations ago. If we are not grateful—if we don’t take full, loving and generous responsibility for it—then we will remain trapped in that karmic cycle.

If you’ve ever heard of the Lord’s Prayer in any one of its many translations, you should then be familiar with the line, “…and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.” In other words, by taking full responsibility for what others have done to us, God will—through the natural law He created—lift the burden of our own karmic debt on that one topic.

If we dig deeply and find all of the karmic debts and broaden our forgiveness to everyone and every event, as was Christ’s lesson on the cross to all of us, then we will be FREE of ALL karmic debt.

Remember: When we give up self-concern (including fear of karma), we no longer have any limitation.

Egoistic (Dichotomous) Concerns vs. Paramita Bestowals

[image error]Perfect representation of this action-reaction universe — the rocket thrust and resultant launch of the Space Shuttle. Photo: NASA (PD).

Our physical universe is built on the concept of conflict—two-sided opposition—and action-reaction forces (Sir Isaac Newton).

Ego is the fruit (product) of the Tree of Knowledge of Dichotomies (Genesis 2–3). And karma is the direct result of egoistic action (sin)—any egoistic action.

We have two realms—the spiritual and the physical. For most of us, our primary awareness is locked on the physical.

We admire the good person, especially the selfless hero who risks everything to help someone else. We admire their competence when they succeed and tend to regret their incompetence when their sacrifice is in vain.

For most of us, “being good” is a relative thing. Some people are more good than others. We tend to admire the good done by those who do their deeds in private.

We may be familiar with the concept of the “Pure Heart,” and instinctively sense that such a trait is either a fantasy or extremely rare. Even in the movies, the evil sorcerer seeks out the “Pure Heart” in order to tap into its power. Of course, Hollywood writers mangle the truth on this.

[image error]The elegant, artistic perfection of nature — maple leaves in autumn. Photo: #62759 JamesDeMers (CC0) Pixabay.

A pure heart isn’t “natural,” because anything born of physical reality is naturally, inherently selfish (evil), for that is the lowest common denominator of the human animal. A pure heart only comes from going spiritual—getting outside of the physical “matrix.” Because of this, a “Pure Heart” is not the oblivious and incompetently weak, little girl—vulnerable to the power of Evil—but more, the humble and spiritual individual who can walk on water, turn water into wine, and feed thousands from the meal of a dozen.

There are two types of “good:”

The tainted, imperfect good of the physical being—corrupted by even one spot of selfishness, andThe perfect good of spirit which knows no corruption, because such limitations cannot exist in the realm of spirit.

Physical “good” is two sided—dichotomous—for it contains the seeds of evil—self-concern.

Spiritual “good” is one-sided—perfect.

This perfection is called, in Buddhism—“paramita.”

The word “paramita,” according to one derivation, means “beyond the shore” or “to the other shore.” The other shore is the “land” of spirit, facing the entire physical universe.

This concept of “beyond” also fits into the other etymological source of the word—“excellence” or “transcendence.”

[image error]Diagram of the relationship between the physical realm, with its “good-evil” dichotomy, and the perfect (“paramita”) “Other Shore” of the spiritual realm. Diagram: © Rod Martin, Jr.

As you can see from this diagram, the “Pure Heart” good of spirit is not in the same dimension (or direction) as mortal good. So, a mortal can push the extremes of mortal good and get no closer to the paramita good of spirit.

Being mortal good helps us “see” the spiritual good, because there are similarities, but there are critical differences.

Mortal good is the viewpoint of the physical being, and is thus limited and egoistic.

Spiritual good resides outside of the physical realm, and is thus pure and unlimited.

Relevance: How the Paramita Helps Us Build Our Prosperity Engine

[image error]Lonely boat ready to make the journey to the “other shore” of paramita good. Photo: #3062045_1920 Quangpraha (CC0) Pixabay.

Why do we even need to talk about this, and what does this have to do with our Prosperity Engine?

Building the Prosperity Engine is a spiritual quest. This may seem wrong, because many of us associate prosperity with materialism and material wealth, but that misses the entire idea. Prosperity and materialism can be a trap if we stay attached and physical. But we intend to become detached (free and responsible) and spiritual.

Building our Prosperity Engine requires spiritual knowledge and spiritual leverage.

Physical-based prosperity involves,

Lots of physical, hard work,Years of patience,Possibly compound interest from savings,Possibly theft or murder, to acquire or to protect, our fortune, andMany other physical methods, tools and ideas.

[image error]Three arrows in the “bullseye” suggest skill, instead of the elusive “luck.” But now we know that “luck” is merely a misunderstood skill. Photo: #2886223_1920 QuinceCreative (CC0) Pixabay.

“Luck” is a misunderstood symbol for spiritual action (a skill)—a Prosperity Engine at work.

When we become more aware of the spiritual realm and can start to tell the difference between physical and paramita (perfected) good, we will start to master the skills to finish building and running our Prosperity Engine.

Buddhism discusses a limited number of paramitas, but we can perfect any mortal good in the spiritual realm.

Prosperity is inherently a relative good that can be perfected by spirit. Here are some examples of physical dichotomies compared to their spiritual counterparts:

Good-Evil vs. Paramita Good,Love-Hate vs. Paramita Love,Responsible-Blaming vs. Paramita Responsibility,Humble-Arrogant vs. Paramita Humility,Confidence-Doubt vs. Paramita Confidence,Wisdom-Stupidity vs. Paramita Wisdom,Generous-Selfish vs. Paramita Generosity,Grateful-Resentful vs. Paramita Gratitude,Compassion-Indifference vs. Paramita Compassion,Competence-Failure vs. Paramita Competence,Perpetrator-Victim vs. Paramita Creation.

Cultivating Purity of Heart for Our Prosperity Engine

[image error]Wisdom vs. Perfectionism. The perfection of the paramitas is not effort or struggle, but effortlessness. Photo: #92901_1920 Geralt (CC0) Pixabay.

Working from paramita qualities makes our actions and intentions “Pure of Heart” and spiritual. Such intentions also lack self-concern and tend to look effortless or even “lucky.”

If we have the humble attitude that anyone and everyone can have the blessings we desire, before we gain them for our self, plus maintain the spotless confidence that God can give them to us instantly, then we will have achieved the faith that can move mountains. We will be the Last who shall become First.

Building our Prosperity Engine, we have to make it all unimportant. We need to let go in order to receive it. We need to have the relaxed and generous confidence that everyone else in the entire universe can get prosperity before we get it. Suddenly, our request becomes timeless—superior to time—and thus spiritual. Now, outside the physical universe, we have the leverage and power to break all its laws. And this is part of what God wants us to learn. But we also need to give up all attachments, because they signify importance, lack and scarcity. With paramita prosperity, we have no limits.

Physical confidence, for instance, can sustain us to achieve great things through physical means, and thus remains limited by physical law.

Paramita confidence is unlimited and frees us to achieve what may be physically impossible—bending or breaking physical law. In other words, paramita confidence has the potential to deliver unlimited results.

The difference between various levels of physical confidence is one of degree—like an analog clock, the second hand of which sweeps through every possible value on the clock’s face. Thus, the physical—natural realm of science—is analog (or continuous) in nature.

The difference between physical and spiritual confidence is more discrete—like an on-off switch, and thus digital in nature. In the spiritual realm, there are no variations of degree in confidence; there is only the constant perfection of confidence. Thus, the spiritual—supernatural realm of creation—is digital (or discontinuous) in nature.

This on-off, digital, or discontinuous nature of the spiritual paramitas or perfections is similar to one profound condition in physical reality—the state known as “pregnancy.” A woman is either 0% pregnant or 100% pregnant. There is no such thing as 38.9% pregnant. This is entirely digital.

So, we can’t exactly sneak up on Paramita Prosperity. We can study and practice imagining such a thing in the physical—remaining at 0% spiritual—but sooner or later, we have to decide to go through that gateway to 100% spiritual. We need to go from 0% miracle to 100% miracle. Digital!

We need to become pregnant with the spirit of God.

Those who build the most powerful Prosperity Engine will be taking 100% responsibility for the prosperity of everyone on the planet—indeed, everyone in the entire universe. We will be wishing for everyone else their own prosperity. In fact, we will remain quite comfortable with the idea of everyone else gaining their desired prosperity before we obtain ours.

Paramita Prosperity for our Prosperity Engine means no limiting number—not $1 Million, or $1 Billion, or $1 Trillion, or $1 Quadrillion, or even $1 Quintillion. Jesus Christ had his own Prosperity Engine, but he had a different mission. And remember his words of wisdom to the rich young man. Yet, the young man was too attached to his physical wealth. His heart was not pure; it was too full of lack and scarcity.

And when we add sufficient value to the whole of civilization, everyone will enjoy a new level of prosperity that makes the poorest of the poor look rich when compared to the poor of today.

Coming Up Next

Tomorrow’s article involves the three dimensions of space, and exercises to build our spiritual mastery over physical reality.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Getting Comfortable With Change and the Unknown

[image error]Change can be as delightful as multi-colored dandelions. Image: #2817950 Monsterkoi (CC0) Pixabay.

Change can be fun and exciting, like a pleasant vacation to a place we’ve never been before.

Change can also be horrifying and painful, like a major accident or an unexpected, life-threatening illness.

Change can be full of betrayal, like a presidential election turned into broken promises.

And change can be full of hope and empowerment, like discovering the secrets to creation itself.

There is one guiding principle in all this talk of change and the unknown: We tend to get the types of things upon which our attention is focused. Notice that this last phrase doesn’t say, “our awareness.” Attention is different in our discussion of building our Prosperity Engine. Attention is the “rocket fuel” which powers our future; awareness is the “bright light” which can help us steer in the right direction.

Part of the trick in building our Prosperity Engine involves shining the light of awareness into the darkness of our subconscious (feeling) attention. This is one area where the unknown can betray us. This is an area of potential self-sabotage. Using awareness can help us convert that self-sabotage into self-empowerment.

[image error]The self-sabotage of unexpected change. This poor guy is working from an unknown subconscious. Image: #73326 PublicDomainPictures (CC0) Pixabay.

Because there has been so much mystery, until now, about taking charge of our future, we have tended to want more predictability. We have wanted to know “how” we were going to create our prosperity or to heal our illness or to find the love of our life. But this is wrong. Certainly, there are things we need to do, but the precise how, the precise identities and the precise sources should be unknown, at least for now.

The reason is simple. We don’t know everything in the universe. We are not omniscient. We don’t know the optimum source, the optimum path or the optimum person to help us achieve our goals. That’s where God comes in handy. He is omniscient and omnipotent. When we ask for His help, He gives it willingly and without reservation. The only problem with prayers is that we frequently think we’re asking for one thing, but our subconscious (feeling) attention is asking for something entirely different. The active ingredient in prayers resides in the usually dark subconscious. Until now, there has, all too frequently, been a huge disconnect between conscious (thought) awareness and subconscious (feeling) attention.

With fearless confidence in God and humble to His word, we can let Him deliver miracles from the Great Unknown—that Undiscovered Country called the Future.

We can’t let the Prosperity Engine do its thing if we keep squeezing off the fuel supply with a fear of the unknown. This reminds me of my learning in a different field—politics—where a certain type of individual, fearful of freedom, attempts to control others by pushing for a bigger, more powerful government. These are the control freaks who love tyranny and the fake sense of security it promises. And to think! I used to be one of those control freaks!

[image error]Symbol of change: butterfly emerging from cocoon. One enterprising child felt sorry for the struggling butterfly and cut open the cocoon to “help.” That butterfly couldn’t fly. The struggle was part of the preparation. Photo: #1518060 KeiBlack (CC0) Pixabay.

We need to let go of “how” and to trust that God will deliver. The only caveat here involves our accuracy in asking. We need to make certain that we remain confident and clear on the target of our request. If we get fuzzy or doubtful, then we will end up disappointed. We also need to ensure that the details of our request—both the clear picture and the positive feeling—go into our subconscious. Gratitude can help accomplish this, but the actual active ingredient is the powerful spiritual state of “Not-Know.” Yes! The unknown! By shoving the clear picture of our desire (and feeling we already have it) into the unknown of the subconscious, we turn the “instantaneity” (zero time) of creation into the “Not-Know” (persistence; potentially infinite time) of manifestation.

This is the secret recipe for baking up an entire universe or anything in it. This is the Mechanics of Creation that allows us to perform miracles like Christ did and even greater. Of course, this all goes through God—the Prime Source of all creation. We owe it all to Him.

Our utter (perfect) humility to Him, and fearless (perfect) confidence in His ability to deliver, are the active ingredients in the ancient act of “Faith”—that attitude which allows all miracles, including healing, forgiveness, inspiration, walking on water, moving mountains, and even the illusion of “luck.”

[image error]Cutting the “t” out of “can’t.” Sometimes changing our subconscious is this easy for building our Prosperity Engine. Graphic: #4505837_1920 Mohamed_Hassan (CC0) Pixabay.

So, take care of the unknown in the subconscious—cleaning up the negative past which has clogged up our Prosperity Engine until now—but delight in the unknown of finding out from where the next inspiration, the next breakthrough or the next million is coming.

Somehow, I know that everyone who uses the materials in this Prosperity Engine series will be helping me achieve my long-range goals, including adding sufficient value to our civilization to allow for at least one multi-quadrillionaire.

Prosperity Engine Progress

I thought of a new “daily question” to add to my morning routine. After doing meditation to get me into the Creative Now (instead of the Effect-Based Now), I will be asking a question in the following format:

How would the [Name of the current body I’m wearing] of [Long-range goals] act and feel today?

For myself, using this format looks like this:

How would the Rod Martin of galactic exploration, terraforming Mars and InDyn University campuses act and feel today?

[image error]The only thing more dangerous than quitting on a Big Goal, is never dreaming Big in the first place. Loving hands shelter our planet Earth, symbolic of our powerful Prosperity Engine attitude. Image: #1222866 CocoParisienne (CC0) Pixabay.

This adds specifics from the viewpoint of that future self. It considers the notion that all those long-range goals have been achieved. So, the person who achieved those goals is now asked to look at today and upgrade the current attitude and viewpoint to that level which is required to create those future goals as “done.”

I have to admit, I had some misgivings when I started this series of articles. I was hanging myself out to dry, so to speak—exposing myself—making myself more vulnerable. And there have been some bumps in the road, but this is also becoming far more fun than I had imagined.

Well, gee whiz! This stuff really works! Intellectually, I knew that. But it’s super nice to feel the evidence of it working.

Another addition came late yesterday. After my bumpy visualization two days ago, where I imagined conflict with one of my future team members, I now add the following “Feeling Affirmation”—“I’m so grateful for the effortless cooperation of my team.” That feels so much better.

Added Power: Prosperity Engine Turbo-Charged Rocket Thrusters

In 1975, I used one of my most powerful, negative emotions to boost my confidence in performing two, back-to-back miracles. These were a test of my hypothesis at the time. And both of them worked like a charm (Leveraging the Negative).

Fast forward forty-five years to today, and suddenly I had another brilliant idea bout harnessing my negative emotions and my counterproductive desires.

[image error]Parent and child connect on a single finger tip. Homage to Michelangelo’s painting of Adam and God in the Creation story. Photo: #71282 PublicDomainPictures (CC0) Pixabay.

Sculpting my subconscious means whittling away all the undesirable stuff so that only the desired “statue” or “art” remains, like Michelangelo chipping away at that slab of marble to reveal his most famous tatue, David. All that is required is the time it takes to look, and the bright light of conscious awareness aimed at the undesirable decisions (beliefs) about life. Also, a potent dose of the “Gratitude of Dismissal” helps. But by harnessing all of the egoistic desires I’ve accumulated (including doubt, incompetence, procrastination and distraction), and putting them to work, I can turn the feeble glow of a 10-watt incandescent light bulb (my past efforts on this) into a billion-watt thermonuclear searchlight. Talk about overkill! Wow! This has the potential to make “short work” out of building and implementing my Prosperity Engine. I can even use this to power my stamina in being consistent on keeping this searchlight powered and aimed.

From a sputtering engine that has mostly lain dormant, to a warp-driven starship powerhouse, I can feel the stars, like dust, flying by in the universal wind.

Simply by deciding, I have harnessed ALL of the power that I have used against myself, and against my goals, to help me toward my goals.

I am deeply humbled by this realization—by this breakthrough.

Now, share your own breakthroughs and let’s reclaim this civilization!

Coming Up Next

Tomorrow, we look at the concept of “paramita” (spiritual perfection) aimed at abundance. The Buddhist “perfections” are all about spiritual traits, and spirit knows nothing of scarcity. This is going to be interesting.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Vocabulary

[image error]Building our Prosperity Engine requires the use of certain words with precise meanings. Photo: #390028 PDPics (CC0) Pixabay.

Most every concept or idea has some value. If the idea is wrong, it gives us contrast to that which is right. We can use the wrong idea to leverage our understanding more accurately in the direction of Absolute Truth.

There has been a movement in the last several decades to diminish the importance of truth. Some have said that science has nothing to do with truth; for that we have to go to philosophy. And never mind religion; according to some of the same people, all wars are started by religion (which is wrong, by the way), and all religion was created by uneducated primitives (again, wrong).

Some ideas are misunderstandings. Some contain half-truths. All can be valuable when viewed from the right standpoint.

Ironically, most humans wouldn’t understand Absolute Truth, so we need stepping stones composed of relative truths, leading us in that direction. And this is what happens in science, when it is working correctly. Thus, science does involve Absolute Truth, after all—not as a destination, but as a vector or direction.

The Words Used In Our Quest to Build a Prosperity Engine

[image error]Buddhist monk meditating. Part of our work in building the Prosperity Engine. Image: #2214532 by 4144132 (CC0) Pixabay.

In the building of our Prosperity Engine, we have pulled from a number of sources, varying degrees of wisdom—stepping stones of relative truth toward our goal. Even I have added a few stepping stones with my own limited research.

After this two-week-long Marathon of blog articles, I need to add a glossary page to the spirit section of this website.

For now, I wanted to address a term that has come up several times—in correspondence with a new friend, in videos of interviews and lectures, and in a client’s outline for their lecture series to accompany the books I’m ghostwriting for him. The term is “quantum,” as in “quantum mechanics,” “quantum reality” and “quantum field.”

This term has become a tantalizing buzzword used by David Bayer, Dr. Joe Dispenza and another bestselling author, Deepak Chopra.

Militant atheist, Richard Dawkins referred to Chopra as a “quack,” despite his many years as a successful, licensed physician. And Dawkins criticized him on his use of the word “quantum.”

I tend to agree with Dawkins in criticizing Chopra for the loose interpretation and use of the term. But let us take a deeper look at why the word “quantum” applies to spirituality and why it doesn’t.

“Quantum Reality” and Spiritual Awakening

[image error]One of Einstein’s more famous quotes, airing his view of Quantum Mechanics. Image: #1933340 ParentRap (CC0) Pixabay, quotation added.

We live in the physical universe. Everything we touch, perceive and experience involves quantum mechanics. Everything our bodies do and our brains think involves quantum mechanics, but much in the same way that everything we do depends on gravity or air.

Quantum physics research has many remaining mysteries. Some of the guesses by physicists seem downright “spooky” or even “spiritual.” Albert Einstein rejected “quantum” anything because he felt that God didn’t throw dice, referring to the randomness or unpredictability of quantum states of matter.

“Quantum mechanics is certainly imposing. But an inner voice tells me that it is not yet the real thing. The theory says a lot, but does not really bring us any closer to the secret of the ‘old one’ [God]. I, at any rate, am convinced that He does not throw dice”—Albert Einstein, letter to Max Born, 1926:1204, The Born-Einstein Letters, (translated by Irene Born, published by Walker and Company, New York , 1971.

The mathematical (pure) research into the E8 model of physical reality seems to hold some promise in explaining the apparent unpredictability of our quantum reality. It involves 8 dimensions of physical reality. Some of the processes of physical matter apparently take place in one of those other dimensions beyond our ability to observe them or to measure them with our scientific instruments. This would create the illusion of unpredictability, because the “black box” of those other processes are not directly accessible.

Ironically, mentors like Dispenza talk about spirit being beyond time, but then speak of producing effects through the “Quantum Field.” This creates an inaccurate picture of what is really going on. For most of us, that doesn’t really matter. The techniques work, even if the explanation for why they work is inaccurate.

But how can I say that the use of a term like “Quantum Field” is inaccurate?

“Quantum” refers to a branch of science (physical or natural study) while spirit is non-physical.

Dispenza, Bayer and others talk about frequencies communicating to the universe so that our wishes are delivered. Frequencies are physical, because they involve space, time and energy. The frequency is one of energy states per unit of time passing by a particular point in space—a point of observation or measurement. An energy signature, in its simplest form is a sine wave and the distance between maximum values of the energy state (peaks) is the wavelength of that form of energy (sound or light). As the energy wave moves past a certain point, the energy peaks pass by a certain number of times per second—and this is the frequency—cycles of peaks (or valleys) per second.

The work of Chopra, Dispenza, Bayer and others holds extreme value—some of the most valuable stuff in the universe.

But is there value in pointing out a mistake in their vocabulary? Perhaps not, unless we are interested in taking the “science” of self-empowerment even further. Not all of us will be. Some people will get benefit from the subject just the way it is. And that’s great.

Some of us, however, want to dig even deeper and to expand on the topic with greater insights. We are not satisfied with merely healing the body, creating a little prosperity and similar miracles.

[image error]Schrödinger’s cat contemplating the fate of a dear friend. Image: #3864569 Geralt (CC0) Pixabay.

While I agree with Dawkins for his criticism of Chopra’s use of “quantum,” I side with Chopra for the work he has done helping others. The vocabulary has limited value. Accuracy in the use of such terms also has limited value. The most valuable part of this endeavor involves the results produced. While the most visible benefits are physical, the spirit is also benefiting. Dawkins is on the losing side of this equation. His certainty has blinded him to the bigger picture. He is painfully accurate on a very narrow part of physical reality, missing the most valuable half of reality—the spiritual. Chopra’s inaccurate use of that term is far more valuable than the accuracy of Dawkins in defending his own limited understanding of the inferior realm—the physical. Like the old saying goes—penny wise, but pound sterling foolish.

Using the correct terms, and using those terms correctly, have value that we should not easily dismiss. Every teaching in this field is valuable, but some are wrong. Again, even wrong teachings can have value by contrast with what is more right. We need to find the value, where we can, but to recognize that everything we know is only a “relative truth,” unless the target of that truth disappears. When it does disappear, then we know we have found its “Absolute Truth.”

Dispenza says that achieving the meditative state of bliss produces certain physical effects in and around the body. It would be nice if he were to publish specific results, but most (or all) scientific journals won’t publish such “dangerous” science—a sad state of their own egoistic shortcomings. Dispenza also says that energy is a frequency, and that frequency carries information, and that information is broadcast to the “quantum field” resulting in our desires being delivered to us (Law of Attraction). What happened to the spirit in this conversation? Is Dispenza conflating “quantum field” with non-physical “spirit?” It seems so, and this is wrong. And equating energy and frequency is also wrong. Does all energy have a frequency? Perhaps; perhaps not. But frequency is one thing and energy is another; conflating the two terms may be good for selling an idea, but it remains an inaccurate representation of the facts.

In this series on building our own Prosperity Engine, we are pushing the envelope of knowledge in this field. We need to be more accurate with our terms. Later, we may find that our initial definitions and reasoning were wrong in some way, and that’s okay. Progress is made by precise, accurate steps. If we head off in the wrong direction, we can more accurately determine the correct direction by comparing the hypothesis (definitions and ideas) with the actual results they produce.

I discovered the Law of Attraction through spiritual studies, logic and reasoning. Others have discovered it through more physical means.

The use of gratitude, for instance, completes the creation-manifestation cycle, but so does “not-knowing” the desired result. I discuss this in greater detail in my book, The Science of Miracles.

Both gratitude and “not know” produce the same results for the same underlying reasons, and “not know” or “resting” (biblical Genesis) or “allowing” (Buddhist or Taoist philosophy) are the superior distinction, because they are the spiritual part of the process. Gratitude creates a physical reaction which tricks spirit into doing the “not know” action that adds persistence (time) to the desired object or condition.

The fiction of “broadcasting” into the “quantum field” is a useful idea, but it can be misleading, especially if we run into problems obtaining the desired results. This is the reason why, in mathematics, professors frequently ask their university students to show their work. Sometimes, a student can get a right answer but for all the wrong reasons. Using the same wrong procedures can produce wrong answers on other mathematical problems. Showing the work can help reveal the misunderstanding.

Let me know if you have any other words or terms you want explained or explored. Even if initially I don’t know an immediate answer, the process of exploring the topic can prove helpful.

Prosperity Engine Progress

I’ve always loved movies, except a few narrow genres, like most horror sub-genres—too much futility. But the best movies contained juicy conflict—a big, visceral problem to solve. In a way, movies were part of my “life evidence” that conflict was an important part of life. The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between the feelings we get from life or from movies.

My wife can watch a movie and, for her, it’s merely light entertainment. But I get involved. A good movie can get inside of me and touch me emotionally—with anger, sadness, elation, bliss and a myriad of other feelings.

Conflict includes an implied sense of “importance” which makes it automatically egoistic (vulnerable, selfish, separate). Dissolving or evaporating conflict is an inherent skill of spirit. When spirit is operating, the perfection (paramita) of responsibility is active; and this removes the persistence (time) dimension from the attached importances.

Yesterday, I called up a memory of my mother in full “Conflict Battle Mode.” Ouch! And I take full responsibility for that. I attracted this family and the events of this lifetime, in part, by the things I’ve done in prior lives. Taking responsibility is the implicit mandate of karma. Too many people don’t realize this, so they resist and resent. Only gratitude, and the responsibility that comes with it, can set you free—for that opens up the Absolute Truth that dissolves entire worlds… or universes.

I used the “Why Question” strategy to dig deeper on this.

Why am I so attached to conflict?Because I love it.Because conflict makes me feel alive.Because I need someone to beat up.Because I need a good reason to kill.Because I need justification to use my full power to destroy.

Hmmm-mm! Some interesting answers, and a lot of vivid, but fleeting pictures associated with these. I feel a lot less attached to conflict, now that I’ve looked at these things. This “Why Question” session was much easier than the last one.

Now, I’ve replaced the “love of conflict” with a “love of effortless cooperation.” That is, after all, far more compatible with my own Prosperity Engine.

Yesterday, I also had a breakthrough realization about responsibility. I discovered a new goal that could prove valuable in building my own Prosperity Engine. The “Gratitude Form” of this goal is as follows,

I am infinitely grateful for taking 100% responsibility for everything in my life.

I had one Catholic priest tell me that such responsibility is impossible. He said that we cannot take responsibility for things that are outside of our control. How wrong he was. Christ took responsibility for all the sins of the world, and he was no more a son of God than we are, spiritually. He may have graduated far sooner than us, but he is still a spiritual child of God—one who deserves our respect and admiration. However, his death on the cross was him leading by example! He was teaching us something.

When we take responsibility beyond our limited, human experience, we are assuming the spiritual viewpoint which moves us far closer to God—the source of all abundance.

This may well be the Super Nexus. Control this and we control everything in our life. And, as I had discovered before, taking 100% responsibility has several effects:

Prevents us from remaining a victim,Empowers us to do more, andSets us free.

In fact, it seems that this level of perfect (paramita) responsibility creates for us the Freedom Engine. And isn’t freedom what we’re really after? It isn’t really the money that is the objective of our Prosperity Engine—it’s the freedom afforded to us to do far more with our lives.

Some people are fooled into desiring the laziness of the idle rich. But after living that lifestyle for awhile, anyone who clings to that shallow purpose will become filled with an emptiness—a sense that they are missing fulfillment, whatever that is. They will begin to dread the tedious boredom of a life without meaningful purpose.

The best purpose is one of greater and greater responsibility.

Tomorrow we look at getting comfortable with change or the unpredictable. The reason this is important will be explored in greater detail. Too many of us cling to the known and the predictable. But like the young bird stuck in their nest, there comes a time we need to be kicked out into the wild so we can learn to flap our spiritual wings.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Leveraging the Negative

[image error]Thumbs up and thumbs down. Conflict. The epitome of dichotomous, negative universe — a major challenge in building our Prosperity Engine. Photo: #3808487 Geralt (CC0) Pixabay.

Most people fear the negative, or at least avoid it. But imagine putting the negative to work for us. It exists, so why not use it while we still have it? But not in a bad way!

Hold on a moment; you’ll like this.

God Created Evil, But Why?

From God’s viewpoint, evil is merely an educational tool. As His spiritual children, we can better appreciate the full meaning of divine good when we can compare it to its opposite. God did not fear evil. We shouldn’t either. Neither should we resist it nor choose it.

[image error]Pretty girl, flaking reality. Symbolic of the challenges we face building our Prosperity Engine: Trying to create something good in a negative universe. Image: #588939 LoganArt (CC0) Pixabay.

We instinctively know that responsibility is a good thing. Yet, some people confuse responsibility with burdensome chores or even blame. Responsibility is neither of these. And the lack of responsibility can be seen as a bad thing.

Yet, God created the physical universe with the little “trick” of irresponsibility—shirking responsibility for its creation by doing what Genesis calls “resting.”

When we see responsibility and evil from this perspective—as useful opposites—we begin to free up our attention from crippling ideas that trap us.

The free will God gave us allows us to choose between good and evil, but also between spiritual good, and physical good and evil. The distinction, here, is that physical “good” is not “divine good.”

Helpful Hints

[image error]Zipper opening the sky to reveal a fire hiding behind it all. Building our Prosperity Engine comes with many similar surprises. Image: #1549875 Alexas_Fotos (CC0) Pixabay.

The spiritual realm is perfect. It has only the perfections of “good,” “wisdom,” “compassion,” “love,” “responsibility,” “humility,” “confidence,” “competence,” “generosity,” “gratitude” and much more. Spirit knows nothing of “lack” or “scarcity,” so it is the perfect viewpoint for our Prosperity Engine.

Whereas, the physical realm is dichotomous (two-sided), and thus imperfect. It contains the egoistic opposites “good-evil,” “wisdom-stupidity,” “compassion-indifference,” “love-hate,” “responsibility-blame,” “humility-arrogance,” “confidence-doubt,” “competence-ineptitude,” “generosity-selfishness,” “gratitude-resentment,” “victim-perpetrator” and many more. Between each of these opposites resides a gradual scale of varying degrees of these qualities. Even the best, physical good remains imperfect—tainted with a spot of its opposite. A good act done by the egoistic self earns no points in Heaven.

One of the breakthroughs in my own research involves the fact that responsibility is the “truth” of which Christ spoke when he said that the truth shall set you free.

And here’s the really cool part: For anything to persist in this physical universe, we have to shirk our responsibility for it! If you’re not getting goosebumps about now, you may want to read that last sentence again several times until you realize the powerful implications of this.

In other words, for our goals to manifest in physical reality, we have to take away our responsibility for creating it. Now, this is on a spiritual level. And it may seem counterintuitive, but only because we are so used to viewing physical reality from the limited, physical self.

This is what God did when he “rested.” On a physical level, we still need to exercise our responsibility, but this is from the viewpoint of “know about” and below, not from the spiritual viewpoint of “knowing everything” about our creation.

Giving up spiritual responsibility for something allows it to have the time dimension; and, conversely, taking responsibility for that thing removes the time dimension. These are part of the Mechanics of Creation.

Using the Negative to Help Get Rid of the Negative

[image error]Fractile fire. This computer-generated image mimics the real world suggesting that much of what we think of as real is created by similar algorithms. Knowing this can help us build our Prosperity Engine. Image: #1764914 DarkSouls1 (CC0) Pixabay.

In the ancient tradition of Kabbalah found in Bnei Baruch, we learn of a method of perfecting or healing the world (tikkun olam) which involves increasing ego, rather than reducing it. This rather counterintuitive approach has its reasons, though.

Ego has a set number of desires or urges. The objective, in Kabbalah, is to convert each egoistic desire into an altruistic, spiritual desire. Thus, we end up with a spiritual being who has become the best possible true self in all of the natural vectors of desire. But instead of those desires being inward, toward the separate, selfish self, they are outward, toward generously and unconditionally loving others as if they were ourselves.

And this makes a lot of sense. It doesn’t help us to get rid of ego if we have not yet woken up our true, spiritual self.

Using the Negative to Test Spiritual Action (Miracles)

[image error]Traffic — perfect test in mastering our negative impulses. Prosperity Engine needs these skills. Photo: #1209542 Free-Photos (CC0) Pixabay.

Sometime about 1975, I was driving on Los Feliz Boulevard, Los Angeles, and an idea came to me about expanding my repertoire of scientific experiments on miracles.

I had realized that emotions are a powerful force in the mind. I wondered about using that power in my experiment—yoking a potent, negative emotion to do some work for me—like hitching up a team of oxen to a fully-loaded wagon.

I knew that rude selfishness in traffic provoked in me a strong, negative reaction. This was a common feeling in my egoistic being—something I would have to resolve, later. But while I still had it, I wanted to see if I could put it to good use.

Since my subconscious mind had already been primed for “frustration,” “anger,” “resentment” and even “rage,” it should be easy to “ask” for a situation toward which I could flow more of those negative emotions. Was I crazy? In retrospect, it seems I may have been a tad insane, but I can only laugh, now, at the zaniness of such an idea. I was out to test a hypothesis, just like any scientist.

I already knew the steps in the Mechanics of Creation:

Picture the desired end result, andRelease (“Not-Know”) that picture by placing my conscious awareness on something else.

The picture I chose was one of having someone cut me off in traffic, dangerously close so I would have to throw on my brakes. And in retrospect, I see that such an experiment could have been dangerous or even potentially fatal, but we need to realize that the precision of the picture did not include those things. I was not after death or injury; I was after testing my hypothesis by picturing an end result and seeing if the physical universe could deliver it for me.

So, I got the picture and attached it to the familiar, expected frustration, resentment and rage. Then, I turned my awareness to my radio, turning it on and enjoying the music. I knew this would work (faith = confidence + humility), so my subconscious (feeling) attention was still on the desired end result. And since my subconscious already had those habitual feelings all primed and ready to go, I had little or no opposition to my experiment.

A few moments later, someone from the opposite side of the street pulled across relatively thick traffic to jam their car in front of mine—so closely that I had to jam on my brakes to avoid colliding with their vehicle’s rear end.

The next moment, I could see the person looking in their rearview mirror, holding up their right hand, waving, hunched over, as if to say, “Sorry!”

If they had paid close attention to me, they would have seen me laughing hysterically—completely happy for the intrusion. If they had seen this, they might have thought me to be entirely mad for not being angry.

After several seconds, I thought of the rather uncomfortable idea that this experiment’s results could have been a fluke—accidental coincidence. So, I nodded to myself, thinking, ”Okay, let’s try this again. We need to be able to replicate it.”

And, again, I got the picture of someone cutting me off, dangerously close with their vehicle so that I had to throw on my brakes to avoid hitting their car. I attached all my resentment and rage to the picture and “let it go” by changing radio stations and listening with full awareness.

Blam! It happened again. This time, the other driver gave no indication of having seen me. If they were guilty, they were hiding the fact. But again, I was laughing hysterically—entirely joyful at the results.

One thing I realized years later, however, is that the results had not been instantaneous. Each intrusion had occurred a few short seconds after I had “rested” from my “creation.”

And this made sense. I had not asked for a previously nonexistent driver pulling out from a previously nonexistent driveway, in a previously nonexistent car. My request had been one of merely re-tasking an existing car, driver and driveway. So, it took me a few moments to position my own vehicle to take advantage of the driver who had unwittingly agreed with my request.

And here’s something I just realized (as I’m writing this article): Those two other drivers had been cogs in the machine of physical reality. They had chosen physical existences, rather than spiritual existences. Like the “Jedi mind trick” of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars series, such “magic” won’t work on the spiritual individual who is not a cog in the physical machine; it only works on the gears and pulleys (individuals) that have chosen to obey physical reality and its subservient position to the spiritual.

Using Negative ‘Irresponsibility’ in Our Prosperity Engine

So long as we are using this physical universe, we are swimming in a sea built of negativity. Imagine that! So, we should not be so uptight about the negative. Realize what it is in the proper perspective or context of the entire universe—both the physical and the spiritual.

Eventually, we will have to say “good-bye” to physical reality. The physical universe, with all its galaxies, stars and planets, will have served its purpose. We will no longer need it. But while we’re here, we should exercise more and more control over it, but without becoming attached to any of it. This is the superior position of “cause” rather than effect—spirit instead of ego.

In order to make something persist (manifest) in physical reality, we need to use God’s trick of “shirking responsibility” so that the thing or condition runs along as if it were creating itself.

On the physical level, we still practice goodness and responsibility so that we can help others and be a good example to them. We should not do these things so that others think of us as “good,” but only because we are being spirit creating and manifesting good in physical reality.

Thus, we discover that the “evil” of this physical realm is serving a good purpose—a perfectly divine good.

[image error]Batman v Superman poster. Lex Luthor in his movie tried to show how smart he was, but flopped royally. His bad logic won’t help us build our Prosperity Engine. Image: Copyright © Warner Bros & DC Comics.

One relatively recent superhero movie had Lex Luthor—enemy of Superman—telling the Man of Steel (and the audience) that God doesn’t exist. He said, “If God is all-powerful, he cannot be all good. And if he is all good, then he cannot be all-powerful” (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).

This is clever, but false logic. It contains a false dichotomy based on false premises. This is the Atheist Delusion of assuming things about God which are incorrect. God’s purpose is not a human purpose. And the suffering of these human bodies serves a good purpose, especially because God’s children are not these Homo sapiens bodies. Thus, God could destroy all land-based life during Noah’s Flood and still have that destructive act be one of perfect, unconditional love.

Certainty without humility creates blindness, and the pesky atheists are so certain they are right, they will never see the evidence which proves them wrong. They are among the First who shall become Last, as Christ described them.

The immensely selfish Globalist-Leftists (owners of the Big, Multinational Corporations) are creating massive suffering in the world, and even this has a divine purpose. Those who participate in that evil may not be invited to the wedding party in Heaven, but they are helping others realize the value of being spiritual, instead of a physical cog in the machine of “natural reality.”

Because of the increasing tensions in the world—the jacked-up polarization of “us versus them”—more people are giving up egoistic desires of resentment, revenge, anger, fear, incompetence, etc. They are turning, instead, to spiritual wisdom. But even the evil people amongst us realize this, and are attempting to co-opt this desire for their own evil purposes. So, we need to stay vigilant and humble. We need to remain aware of what is going on in the world, but humble to God’s Absolute Truth—not to the meager, relative truths of this world.

Thus, we can recognize when the Pope is lying to his flock. We can recognize when a spiritual teacher is telling us only a half-truth. We can even learn from the lessons that I have learned and go beyond them to even better, relative truths.

We can even use this “negative” physical universe to help us dissolve this universe. And along the way, we can have a lot of fun using our Prosperity Engine to help others become detached from suffering—help them learn to “fly” with fearless confidence and a humble, generous heart.

Prosperity Engine Progress

Today, after doing my morning meditation, gratitude and other “internal” exercises, I tried a little creative visualization—imagining my first meeting with my “Million Dollar Team.”

Curiously, I found myself in an argument with one of the team members. Rather than get frustrated, thinking that my visualization had become derailed, I explored this conflict a bit more deeply, letting it play out. Then, I looked back at it and examined the feeling (belief, decision and meaning) behind the behavior in my visualization.

This has been one of my own “repeat performances.” A part of my subconscious seems to like conflict, arguments and disagreement. I had found myself relishing online discussions on controversial topics so I could “educate” someone else with logic, reasoning and critical thinking. While these may seem laudable goals, the reason for them is based on some nasty, negative business borne out of the past, and now lodged firmly in the subconscious.

[image error]Movie film graphic. Movies require conflict to build an engaging story; our Prosperity Engine needs to eliminate conflict. Image: #767982 Geralt (CC0) Pixabay.

One of the things I learned about writing fiction is that “conflict is king.” A movie script, for instance, that doesn’t have some visceral conflict, is a pretty wimpy story. A movie without conflict is boring. Even though I’m a big fan of Star Trek, when the first “trekkie” movie came out (1979), I hated it. Scenes like the panning across the lovely new starship Enterprise proved to be gag-awful—tedious. A good movie doesn’t even need dialogue. One movie without a single spoken word, but plenty of visual conflict, proved to be at least interesting. Every sound became a potential clue or a contrast to the lack of conversation. The best movies always had some undeserved misfortune followed by a struggle to undo the damage.

But conflict in real life is dreary. Why would I be hanging onto this?

I got a picture of my Mother, whipping her own thigh with a strap of belt leather as he marched down the sidewalk from my grandparents’ house in Odessa, Texas. This was about 1954, so I was 3 or 4 years old. In that incident, I suddenly remembered that she had ordered me and my brother Terry not to leave the yard. Oops! Her face bordered on rage. And when she caught up with me, I couldn’t return to my grandparents’ house fast enough to escape the rocketing piece of leather aimed at my naked legs and short pants-clothed buttocks.

[image error]Rage. Another ingredient which clogs up our Prosperity Engine. Photo: #921004 Olichel (CC0) Pixabay.

Rage seemed to be a common, underlying emotion with her, at least early in my life. I discovered, years later, that her own father—a Southern Baptist minister, named Adolph, a strong, German name—had been a strict disciplinarian.

Perhaps that is part of the motivating force behind my 5-year feud with my brother Larry—a conflict which ended when I was 9, and when my parents vowed never again to use violence in communicating with my brothers and me. There’s no blame, here. I own all of that. I take full responsibility for the entire chain of violence—from me, to my Mother, to my grandfather, to his father, and on and on. Taking 100% responsibility for all of it forces me to cease being a victim. Nice how that works. It seems this is one of the lessons Jesus was trying to teach us when he took on the sins of the world up on that cross. Responsibility is a powerful tool—the tool of Truth—the tool of Freedom.

Conflict seemed to be an easy emotion for me. Too easy! Perhaps I can find out why it was still lingering in my subconscious by asking the “Why” question. I’ll tackle that one tomorrow.

Coming Up Next

Tomorrow, we will look at the vocabulary used in this work and hopefully clear up some possible confusion. Of course, this won’t be the final word on the topic. Science is never settled, at least until we know as much as does God Himself. And that could be a long ways off.

Prosperity Engine — Update — The Value of Humility

[image error]A woman raises her arms in grateful humility to the beauty of a mountain vista. Her attitude is an important ingredient in building our Prosperity Engine. Photo: #3959204 by 11417994 (CC0) Pixabay.

I’ve performed dozens of miracles and that set of accomplishments could have made me arrogant—for confidence without humility is hubris. Remarkably, such miracles become impossible without humility. Now, my goal is to maintain that confident humility all the time.

I’ve long known that I have much more to learn. That’s one brand of humility. Another brand of humility involves the ability to do self-inspection with the attitude that “self” is still imperfect—not omniscient and not omnipotent (all knowing and all powerful). Even if we have an area of expertise, it is only a relative expertise with an unknown body of yet undiscovered knowledge.

But I have also long known that there is real benefit to be had in granting value to things we’ve already learned, to the knowledge of others, and even to the observations and viewpoints of those who might otherwise seem disadvantaged—the poor, the uneducated and the very young. Out of the mouths of babes we sometimes receive great wisdom and powerful insights. Not always, of course, but when we expect such gifts from the world around us, we are more likely to see them when they do occur. This is another brand of humility.

And on the subject of relearning what we’ve already learned, most people bristle at the idea of restudying old material, and miss out on a gold mine of benefit. For example, most people, it seems, would find it distasteful to study first grade mathematics—adding and subtracting. Yet, if they were to do this, after a decade or more as adults, they may discover old confusions they had which for them afterward made mathematics a chore. Revisiting the basics with the attitude of “the joy of learning” could break through the source of any difficulty.

Recently, I have learned a lot from the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza and David Bayer. I haven’t always agreed with the language or terminology they used to describe their methods and wisdom, but I can also see the utility of their words. Through them, they reach a broader audience. So, instead of feeling resentment or conflict, I remain grateful that so many people are receiving relative truths that are helpful. For even my own discoveries are relative truths which remain imperfect.

I have come to the realization—through humility—that every teaching has value, even if it is horribly wrong. We gain insights by looking, by becoming aware, by being humble enough to see the intent behind the words, and to realize, by contrast, how any one teaching compares with Absolute Truth. We may not see this relationship with precision, but we may be able to feel the relative value. If nothing else, these things can help us gain our bearings, especially if we do not become attached (confident without humility) to any one idea.

Thus, any one interpretation of Buddhism, of Christianity or even of Scientology, can have value, because they give us a broader appreciation for the viewpoints which make up this physical universe.

Even the tyranny of one religious group fighting against another can help us toward our ultimate goal—complete awakening as spiritual children of God—maturing and graduating out of our need for physical things and separate selfishness.

Humility: A Primary Ingredient in Learning

[image error]A foundation for our Prosperity Engine is humility to nature. Father and son walk through the forest. Photo: #2770301 by ljcor (CC0) Pixabay.

Imagine for a moment someone who knows that the stars are fixed in the sky—all of them except the special “planets” or “wanderers”—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Now, imagine how you would feel when you discover contrary evidence—comparing the ancient records of Hipparchus with modern measurements of the stellar locations in the heavenly sphere, colloquially called the “sky.”

This happened in 1718. English astronomer, Edmund Halley (1656–1741) had noticed that the first magnitude stars Aldeberan, Arcturus and Sirius were more than 30 minutes of arc from the locations documented by Hipparchus (c.190–c.120 BC), one of the leading, ancient Greek astronomers. Thirty minutes of arc is the apparent width of the Moon in the sky. This may not seem like much, but the fact that it took more than 1,800 years for these stars to move so little amplifies the immensity of space between stars. We now know that the stars move relative to one another in double-digit kilometers per second. And because the distance to those other stars is measured in trillions of kilometers, the apparent motion of any one star, as seen from Earth, will be missed by any casual observer in their own lifetime.

Halley was humble enough (and honest enough) to follow the evidence, rather than the two millennia of dogma. Other researchers had not been so humble. They had remained attached to one idea to the exclusion of any evidence which might otherwise prove it wrong. See the problem?

In our own work, producing our own Prosperity Engine, we need to remain humble to Absolute Truth, rather than to the limited teachings of any one person or group. Even to the words of your current author.

We should not be too proud (egoistic, separate, selfish) to use various sources to help us understand more completely and accurately the wisdom required to achieve our goal. Thus, we can use the imperfect wisdom of David Bayer, Joe Dispenza, Tony Robbins, as well as the modern interpretations of Christ’s and Buddha’s teachings. Despite all the bad things we’ve heard about Scientology, we can even use some of the good from there, too.

Every piece of wisdom—every viewpoint—is a valuable stepping stone toward all of humanity “graduating.”

Humility Combined with Creativity

When we give up any and all of our “know-it-all” attitude, we open our awareness to new possibilities. We find it easier to see the patterns of the universe around us and to compare them to other patterns.

[image error]The type of inspiration which led to the laser can be used in building our Prosperity Engine. Photo: Laser Systems Lab, Novosibirsk State University (PD).

Thus, American scientist, Gordon Gould (1920–2005), was able to look at traffic controlled by signal lights and to imagine the technology required to build lasers. Ultimately, he won his many court cases to obtain and to protect his many laser patents, winning far more money, because of the maturity of the laser industry, than if he had been able to gain his patents right away.

Thus, while studying electronic engineering in the late 1970s, I was able to see how every atom is both broadcast and receiving equipment, similar to the radio tank circuit—combining both the coil (electron orbit) and capacitor (electron-nucleus separation) into one tidy, natural package. So, each atom type has its own unique set of tuned frequencies. With this type of insight, suddenly all of nature starts to seem simple, despite the apparent complexities.

This type of creativity—combining humility with creative imagination and critical thinking—is one of the skills I want to teach at my InDyn University (Infinity Dynamics). Who knows what we can discover at a research lab staffed with scientists and engineers with this kind of mindset?

The Von Liebig Effect

[image error]Justus von Liebig. His humility for learning continued long after his discovery of NPK fertilizer. Photo: 1866, NIH (PD).

German scientist, Justus von Liebig (1803–1703), was one of the founders of organic chemistry. His work led to the creation of the huge fertilizer industry, supplementing soils with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK).

Ironically, later in life von Liebig discovered that the NPK fertilizer was destroying the soil and creating less nutritious food. He realized that his “discovery” had been made without the proper humility to God’s wisdom in creating nature. But it was too late. The Big Chemical industry had already established hefty profits from NPK fertilizer sales. Reverting back to more natural chemistry would have proved too costly. So, late in life, Justus von Liebig gained sufficient humility to see that there had been a far more wise approach to agriculture that he had missed because of a lack of humility. He had come to regret his “big” discovery. But more modern sources never mention this regret.

Thus, the von Liebig effect is one of hubris in discovery without making the entire discovery needed for wisdom to occur. This can also be described as “short-term gain, with long-term failure.”

We need to remain humble to the bigger picture—whatever that “picture” ends up being. We have to realize that there will always be more to learn until we are able to create entire universes, just as God has done.

Even then, we need to realize that one of the four elements of God is humility. So, it seems there will never come a time when we put aside humility, for it is part of our natural, spiritual state.

Prosperity Engine Progress

It now seems as though I have all the pieces I need for constructing and sculpting my own Prosperity Engine. “Constructing,” because there is some building or creating involved, especially in specifying my own Designed Future. And “sculpting,” because, like a sculptor, I will be stripping away the unnecessary ingredients to reveal the desired “art” within the raw material.

I realized, today, that it’s too easy to become cocky with the enthusiasm of success, reaching out to speed things up. And this is not a new discovery, but one I’ve had numerous times before. I am reminded of the need for the humility of patience. The more impatient we become, the longer it will take.

Conversely, the more patience we use, the easier and faster will be the entire process. This is because spirit does not use effort or time. If we insist on these physical ingredients, then naturally, we will be forcing the process to take longer, with far more difficulty.

A couple of times, recently, I have felt a solid foundation of happiness which made smiling easy—smiling for no apparent reason at all. One of the first, short-term goals in this process will be to make that feeling increasingly more common, and one that does not require outside events or internal decision.

Coming Up Next

In tomorrow’s article, we will be looking at the power of pessimism. Yes, that’s right. Instead of treating that negative feeling as “useless,” we will be exploring how we can use negativity for our own benefit. This kind of fearless creativity could end up making the building of our Prosperity Engine even more fun, making the journey as rewarding as the end product.

Prosperity Engine — Update — Creating the Future

Building the Desired Future may seem to be the aspect of our work that contains the most “fun,” but we need to cultivate deep gratitude for every part of the process.

Building the Desired Future without the burden of a pesky, negative, background chatter from the dark subconscious, should become far easier. Once the past is entirely cleaned up, creating any future should become effortless.

But cleaning up the past may take awhile. In the meantime, we can practice becoming more and more proficient at building our Desired Future. Then, our Prosperity Engine will make it happen.

Most of the current teachers and coaches on this material describe this aspect as a two-step process:

Getting a really clear picture of the desired end result, andBeing grateful for it, right now, as if it has already happened.

Forty-seven years ago, I approached it from a different angle, finding a different, two-step process:

Getting a really clear picture of the desired end result, andNot-knowing the image.

Notice that the first step is exactly the same. The second step seems entirely different. But both of these work!

What’s really going on?

Prosperity Engine: Behind the Scenes

Behind the scenes, both gratitude for something that has not yet happened and “not-knowing” our “clear picture” achieve the same results. Some common element in both of these is actually what achieves the manifestation.

Let’s compare these.

The “not-knowing” part is derived from a Scientology bulletin detailing the relationships between Knowing on various levels of spirit, and Emotion. At the top of the Emotional Tone Scale we find “Serenity of Beingness.” It’s equivalent or compatible state of knowledge is “Know” (knowing everything).

The second level on both tables proves to be a bit of an enigma—at least it did to me nearly half a century ago. The “emotion” of “Postulates” was paired up with “Not Know” (“not-knowing” everything).

“Postulates” essentially referred to the creation and manifestation of some idea, thing or condition. This is essentially the much desired “holy grail” of our work—the Prosperity Engine—the expected answer to our prayers.

But this is paired up with a most unlikely creature called “Not Know.”

Hollywood Has It All Wrong!

[image error]Which way? Desert highway sign points both directions. Hollywood chose the wrong direction. Prosperity Engine’s deeper context. Photo: #1834859 Pexels (CC0) Pixabay.

Growing up on Hollywood movies didn’t help. With all those gods performing miracles, like Zeus throwing lightning bolts, none of them seemed to go slack-jawed and stupid right before they did their “thing.” So, what does this “Not Know” really mean? Or did Hollywood have the gods all wrong?

Well, Hollywood gets just about everything wrong, when it comes to ghosts, spirits, prayers, faith and magic. Using the power of spirit requires ZERO effort. Let me spell that out for you: Z-E-R-O! Nada! Zilch! Effort means doubt and doubt means sinking into the sea after having walked on water for a few moments. That happened to the disciple Peter. Meanwhile, Jesus had to rescue his incompetent follower from drowning in the storm-tossed waves of the Sea of Galilee. And, when both men had joined the others on their tiny ship, the storm immediately stopped, because Jesus no longer needed it.

In the movie, Ghost, Patrick Swayze’s character is murdered. As a ghost, he tries to find some way to gain control over his problem. Another ghost he meets in a subway station teaches him how to move physical objects with intention, but the lesson is full of effort! In other words: backwards! As I said, effort equals doubt which equals failure as spirit to cause some action to manifest in physical reality.

“Not-knowing” everything (about a desired output) means: “removing all conscious awareness from the creation of a desired output.” It could also mean: “stopping the Knowing of that thing.”

There may seem to be a lot going on here, but it’s actually quite simple.

Look what happens when we are grateful for a creation for which we do not yet see the manifestation. We are taking our awareness off of the creation step (step #1), and feeling as though it has already happened.

Let’s take a closer look at this idea—this “as though it has already happened” business. Essentially, we are telling God that we have faith (utter humility plus fearless confidence) that it is done. We no longer need to do step #1, because we are confident that it has all been taken care of. We are sidestepping doubt by being grateful.

From a different perspective, we are adding the time dimension to the desired object or condition by giving up our “responsibility” for that creation. Thus, as I discovered, while writing Four Elements of God, time and responsibility are opposites. In fact, all four of the physical “elements” or dimensions are opposite to the spiritual elements of God.

Space—Reduced or eliminated by Unconditional Love.Time—Eliminated by taking Perfect Responsibility for the thing.Energy—Motion or potential is eliminated by Utter Humility, which is stillness.Mass (or gravity well)—Overcome by Fearless Confidence of spirit.

[image error]Fractal design. Fractional dimension is what gives our physical universe such variety, but recognizable texture. Part of building our Prosperity Engine is recognizing the patterns involved. Image: #1280084 Insspirito (CC0) Pixabay.

Another word for “responsibility,” then, would be “truth”—the truth that sets us free. For when we find the truth (our responsibility) for an object or condition, we remove the time dimension from that object or condition. It then reverts to the “instant of creation” which is “paper thin” in the time stream. The next moment, we have moved forward in time, and the “instant of creation” for that object or condition is now in the past. We have moved out of that instant and thus no longer see the object or condition; we are free from it.

This concept may take some getting used to. As a physicist, discovering this concept drove me a bit crazy (I say tongue-in-cheek). But what an idea. Time no longer seems so substantial or overwhelming.

And we already have evidence of this effect with the old truism: “Time flies when we’re having fun.” When we’re experiencing something fun, we are creating. We are relaxed. We are no longer at effect. Our spiritual attention is outward and ego has been subdued.

On the other hand, when we are in pain, or bored to tears waiting for something to happen, time drags. Someone with a stopwatch won’t find any difference in the seconds that pass, but the individual perception does change markedly. “Mommy, Daddy, are we there, yet?” See? Frustration. The kid’s attention is on not being there yet.

So, whenever we are suffering through some ordeal—physical, mental or otherwise—all we need to do is to take responsibility for that event. We merely need to create the thing happening to us. Creating speeds up time, puts us in the driver’s seat, eliminates any possibility of us being victim any longer, and makes the entire process more fun (or at least less overwhelming). This also moves us a whole lot closer to God. Thus, we can use our level of suffering as a measuring stick for our “distance” from God.

Summing It Up

This is Creational Mechanics 101. And this is how we build our Prosperity Engine.

When we can reduce the “creation” from past beliefs (negative feelings), and increase the “volume” of creating from our conscious mind—the picture plus gratitude—then we have our Prosperity Engine all set up.

The more we clean up the past, as in the last article, and work from the calm present, the smoother our Prosperity Engine will run.

Coming Up Next

In the next article, we will take a closer look at one of our most potent spiritual tools—humility. Some people have a bit of confusion on this topic. We will clear that up and show how humility can help us streamline our Prosperity Engine.
