Sunday Inspiration: In Honor of Those Who Have Gone Before Us
“
“There are stars whose radiance is visible on Earth
though they have long been extinct.
There are people whose brilliance continues to light the world
though they are no longer among the living.
These lights are particularly bright when the night is dark.
They light the way for humankind.”
-Hannah Senesh, poet

Sunday Inspiration: Courage
“Courage doesn’t always roar.
Sometimes courage is the little voice
at the end of the day
that says I’ll try again tomorrow.”

Sunday Inspiration: Happy Mother’s Day!
“A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world.
It knows no law, no pity.
It dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.”

Sunday Inspiration: Happy Earth Day!
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together … all things connect.”—Chief Seattle

Sunday Inspiration: Have Compassion
“Have compassion for everyone you meet,
even if they don’t want it.
What seems conceit, bad manners, or cynicism
is always a sign of things no ears have heard,
no eyes have seen.
You do not know what wars are going on
down there where the spirit meets the bone.”
-Miller Williams

Sunday Inspiration: Happy Easter, a Day of New Beginnings
“I would like to believe when I die that I have given myself away like a tree that sows seed every spring and never counts the loss, because it is not loss, it is adding to future life. It is the tree’s way of being. Strongly rooted perhaps, but spilling out its treasure on the wind.” – May Sarton

Sunday Inspiration: Welcome Spring!
“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming.” -Pablo Neruda
Spring has sprung here in Asheville — daffodils, tulips, and cherry trees are blooming — and I hope that you are least well on your way to the warmth and vitality of this season.
It’s true that you cannot keep spring from coming no matter how long and cold the winter may be. At this time of year I can’t help but feel an inner springtime, a burst of energy, creativity and hope.
I hope your inner springtime blooms and flourishes as well.
