A Perfect Day for Research in Tarpon Springs
Two weeks ago I told you about some of the research I did for my upcoming novel, A Family of Strangers. Last week Proman and I had the pleasure of doing some on-site research for my next book. I thought it would be fun to share some photos.
The last time I was in Tarpon Springs, Florida I was in elementary school, and I clearly remember watching a sponge diver suit up to sink down to the floor of Florida’s Gulf Coast and retrieve sponges.

Sunday Inspiration: Why?
“I believe every child is born with the Why Chromosome, which pushes us to ask questions about the nature of the universe. And as we grow older those questions become deeper and deeper. As a child the word why was certainly a provocative part of my vocabulary. But throughout my younger life — in church, at home, in school — the curiosity that kept pushing that question to the forefront was discouraged.

A Writer’s Journey: Countdown to Book Launch

Kylie/Casey/Connie is my good friend and one of my fabulous brainstorming buddies. A few weeks ago I asked her to introduce her latest book, The Scent of Murder, which is the first in a brand new mystery series from St. Martin’s Press.

This quote by Albert Einstein is such a welcome reminder to celebrate and protect our precious planet and its inhabitants all year long. As the photo says: Pass It On.

Novels That Have Changed the World

Among other atrocities, Hitler once slated the great cathedral for demolition. Before that it survived clueless remodeling, environmental decay and revolutionary ransacking, too. And, of course, this week the world almost lost it for good.
In all the many articles about the terrifying fire that nearly destroyed the cathedral on Monday, one in the Washington Post caught my eye.

Sunday Inspiration: How Far?
“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young,
compassionate with the aged,
sympathetic with the striving,
and tolerant of the weak and the strong,
because someday in your life, you will have been all of these.”
–George Washington Carver

Starting From Scratch

Granted, making homemade yogurt in the Instant Pot is as easy as slipping on flip flops. I do it, at least partially, because I can make it with A2 milk, which I find a thousand times easier to digest than regular milk.
