The Doors Examined PUBLISHED!
Hello Everybody!
I let "The Doors Examined" loose on the world today, I'll just paste in The Doors Examiner article I wrote because I think it says everything well.
The Doors Examined is now published! The Doors Examined is 163 articles that spans the three year life of The Doors Examiner and the history of The Doors from their pre-history and some factors that aided in their success all the way to today and what the surviving members of The Doors are doing today.
The Doors Examined starts with a foreword by Tony Funches and is different from other books on The Doors in that it isn’t a lineal history of The Doors nor is it a biography or history of the band, or any of it’s members, instead the articles are like snapshots of The Doors, with each adding a different facet of the band until the impressions build in the readers mind and form a picture of the band. Subjects range from articles on the history of The Doors, their releases but also delves into reviews of their recent CD releases, film and DVD releases, as well as exploring some of the characters that orbited The Doors world, to writers, bands and artists that influenced The Doors as well those who have been influenced by The Doors.

The Doors Examined Update
Long time no see Jymsbooks subscribers!
Sorry, I've been gone so long, been really busy finishing up "The Doors Examined", for a book that's a compilation of articles I've written boy was there a lot of work involved! But we're almost finished! I just have some clean up work to do on the manuscript which I will get mostly done, today! I will soon have an announcement on and an unveiling of the cover art for the book, and an announcement on the foreword! Stay tuned for those announcements.....
I still have Paris editions of "The Last Stage" available only $20 to get yours today you can either go through Paypal or send me an email at jym@jymsbooks.com. I also can send internationally so please contact me for additonal info! Limited supply left so get yours today!
This month's writers workshop at the Oswego Public library will be held on Feb 21 at 7PM this month's discussion will be on characterization.

December Update
It’s the writers workshop at the Oswego Library (1111 Reading Drive, Montgomery, IL 60538) this Thursday December 20, 2012 (the day before the apocalypse!) at 7 PM special treats will be served, see you then and there!
The Doors Examined update! I'm over half way through with the editors notes! Going to do 5 more chapters today and that leaves the last third! & I'll probably finish that on the Xmas holiday. I wish I could show you guys the cover we have proposed for the book but we're still awaiting permission from The Doors to use it. I can tell you it's a line drawing based on the L.A. Woman album cover. Work continues.....

Over the weekend the Examiner released some stats on Examiner ratings including The Doors Examiner. The Doors Examiner is a pretty highly rated column.
Out of all the top rated national Examiner's The Doors Examiner is rated 190 out of 4814! Of all the Arts & Entertainment writers The Doors Examiner is rated 145 out of 7827, and out of all the Examiners writing about music The Doors Examiner is rated 14th out of 1870 writers!

The Doors Examined Update! As of today I'm officially 75% of the way done with the book! I've written a couple new articles and now just need to get in the last 5 chapters! We also have some ideas for the book cover coming in, that are really cool! So, more on that as it develops!
Thursday, Oct 18, is the Writers Workshop at the Oswego Public Library (Montgomery branch) at 7PM and we'll be discussing conflict (in a story, not fighting or anything like that).
