Lost Along the Way

Lost Along the Way (Tales of the Curious Cookbook #3) by Marie Sexton.

So this is the third book in a series and I haven’t read the first two LOL. I don’t think it matters, though. Tales of the Curious Cookbook is a series of six books written by different authors. What they have in common is Granny B’s cookbook.

Danny has been with his man for the last fifteen years, he gave up his family to be with him. He’s just started to reconnect with his parents when they pass away in a car accident. H...

Some Green Reads

[image error]So, it’s St. Patrick’s Day and as a Swede, I have no idea what it means LOL. I’ve read up on St. Patrick, but I still don’t get why everyone turns green (it’s from the Emerald Isle, but still). Did you know that originally the colour used on St Patrick’s Day was blue?

But, we’re sticking with green! I thought I’d give you my favourite books with a green (-ish) cover. They’re not in any particular order, but here goes:

This is one of my favourite ghost stories. It...

Between the Devil and the Pacific Blue

I’m off work today, so when I’d put two of the kids on the bus to school, I poured myself a cup of coffee and relaxed with Between the Devil and the Pacific Blue by Charlie Cochet.

I’ve read, I think, the four first stories in Cochet’s Thirds series and one of her DRitC stories, but compared to many others I can’t say that I’ve read a lot by her.

Between the Devil and the Pacific Blue isn’t a book I’ve seen around, but I scrolled through Cochet’s backlist, thinking perhaps I should read somet...

Throwback Thursday | Once Around Seven

I was walking the dog along the river just a stone’s throw from our house and thought of Once Around Seven. It was published in July 2018, so not very old, but I thought I’d give it a post now anyway.

About the only thing you can do around here is to go down the river by canoe – I live in the middle of nowhere – so when I was trying to come up with something anyone who was visiting Nortown for the first time could do, canoeing seemed like a good idea.

When Oz is taking a dip, it’s autumn and...

Caught Running

Caught Running by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux.

I’ve just re-read this. It’s been many years since I read it the first time and I wasn’t quite sure if it was the one I remembered or if the one I was thinking of actually was Mary Calmes’s Steamroller. It was Caught Running that flitted around in my mind.

This is an old book, at least if we’re talking books in the M/M genre. It was published by Dreamspinner back in 2007, and if I’m not wrong, I think Dreampsinner started 2007, so we’re back...

City of Monsters

What did I just read? City of Monsters by Andrea Speed is what I read, now if you would ask me what kind of story that is… I don’t really know.

It has vampires, werewolf, other shifters, reverse tooth fairies, zombies and all kinds of crazy stuff LOL. Hunter is a shifter unknown (he doesn’t know what kind of animal he turns into) and he owes a werehippo money.

He works as a finder and is looking for a reverse tooth fairy who is working with vamps up to no good when he meets Sakari, a newcomer...

Throwback Thursday | He Melted Us

Okay, I have to write He Melted Us today. It’s Thursday, and I said I’d do one Throwback Thursday post a month during 2019, and it’s three years ago today that it was published.

[image error]You might think that since it’s Valentine, I should write a post about some cute romance – He Melted Us is not cute, but I don’t know if I have any cute romances. You might be better judges than I when it comes to that, but I don’t see my stories as overly romantic.

He Melted Us is part of the Love Unlocked anthology...

All Kinds of Tied Down

So…looking for some hot cops? For today’s post, I’ve read All Kinds of Tied Down by Mary Calmes. Not too long ago I re-read Change of Heart and felt a little cheated out of my Calmes high *frowns* so I picked up another one.

I haven’t read the Marshal series. It’s been around for a few years now, and it’s always been there on my to-read list, but it hasn’t really called to me. I’ve re-read A Matter of Time instead of trying out Miro and Ian. And, sadly, while reading this I missed Jory.

I’m n...

The Bone Orchard – Ghosts and Murders

Well, this was an odd mix of…things. We have ghosts and murders, and the story goes from historical to modern day.

US Marshal Ambrose Shaw is hunting down a serial killer but is killed in the process. Ezra Johns, a Pinkerton inspector comes to town to testify against the serial killer and ends up dead too. The two then spend the rest of their days as ghosts, hunting said serial killer.

I liked the beginning of the story, but then when it felt like it should end it just kept going. And not tha...
