I wrote my first play after someone shouted out that I was a writer during an acting workshop. It was a terrible play and ran for one night only, but I was so thrilled with the responce that night I thought I’d have a crack at writing a novel – as you do.

About three years later I found a publisher who believed in me so much they offered to publish the novel for only £2,000. This was my introduction to vanity publishing. I didn’t publish with them.

I also put together a collection of poetry callled Buddy, Can You Spare Me, and sent it off to Henry Rollins, shortly after that I had nowhere to live, and so both these books are now lost to the world, and if I remember correctly, this means that the world can rest easy – for now!
