Cover Reveal, Release Info and News

So it’s finally happening!

This weekend I will be releasing Aphrodite’s Fire, my first novel, into the world and so I thought I had best pop by here and tell you all about it. Before I do I have to apologise for being MIA recently. However, I have fabulous things planned for you all, so here’s all my news, cover and synopsis.

Starting next Monday (December 1st) I am going to be hosting an Erotic Advent. I will have the pleasure of sharing so fabulous poems and short stories by some truly wonderful guest authors. I’m hoping to make the run up to Christmas a hot and delicious experience.

Also on December 1st tickets for the signing I shall be attending in Birmingham UK next July go on sale, for more information search Second City Signing on Facebook and Twitter (Will add the link for ticket sales on this post when I have them).

And finally…

Here it is, my beautiful cover! (even if I do say so myself lol)

AF final HopefullyAnd the synopsis…

Forced to flee from her past Serena finds herself struggling to survive in the seedy world of strippers, never imagining she could be found.

After changing her identity to hide from those who had massacred her family, her life is far from easy. Just as she begins to feel safe her past catches up with her, a past that remembers her all to well.

One fateful night she finds herself rescued and befriended by Luca, an elegant man that she doesn’t  recognise as the threat he could be.

Over the years Luca’s adoration of her memory had kept him sustained as he sought to find the young girl he had fallen in love with. Upon finding her, he finds himself determined to protect her from the dark forces that seek her demise.

What Serena is yet to learn as she finds herself falling in love with Luca is he is in the employ of the very man who needs her silenced.

With warped and twisted enforcers actively hunting them Luca tries to sideline those that hunt her with false information not realising just how close the danger really is.

The two lovers soon find they are snared at every turn. Can they move beyond their pained pasts and the danger of the present to buy themselves a future or will the sadistic enemy they face rip their lives apart?

And so with that I shall love and leave you for now, don’t forget to keep an eye out for the Advent and to check back on this post on Monday for the links to buy both tickets and my book.

Much love and huge kisses,

S.J xxx

Coming Soon – Erotic Advent

Hello there lovely people!

Firstly I need to apologise for not being around much, you see I’ve been working on something special and that’s taken all my time up, but more about that another time.

My reason for popping by today is to tell you all about the event I’m organising. An Erotic Advent – 24 days of fabulous Christmas themed guest posts, both poetry and short stories.

Many of you have enjoyed other events I’ve organised and I wanted to make the build up to Christmas a hot and exciting time for you all, hence the advent.

So beginning December 1st and 10am GMT I will be sharing with you all some truly wonderful posts. Some will be romantic, some will be funny and some will be downright filthy!

Anyhow I can’t wait to share them all with you.

Much love,

S.J xxx

Halloween is Here (#HalloweenChallenge)

Originally posted on Der Erzahler's Musings:

It looks like I missed one of the entries for the Halloween Challenge that was put forth for last week.  My apologies to Dawn from Dawn’s Nights for not getting it posted during the time it was supposed to be.  However, I wanted to make it right and post it today.  I hope you enjoy her submission, and forgive my short-sighted, forgetful mind.

Half moon lighting up the dark sky
Air crisply skimming my cheeks
Loud breathing as I walk
Low branches clawing at my hair.
Opening the graveyard’s gate
While a cold breeze blows in my face.
Entering the quiet place
Eerie silence surrounds me
Naked tombstones stare at me.

Incessantly, bats fly by,
Swiftly brushing against my back.

Hesitant, I sit down
Expectant, a little worried…
Racing heart, am I really safe?
Eager…

The time has drawn near

For Samhian is here

At the fading of the light

Spirits are freed into the night

She is drawn by their power

Knowing it’s the witching hour

Her soft voice

Her soft voice

Her soft voice casts a spell

Reaching into the bowels of Hell

He hears her voice calling

Captivating and enthralling

Summoning the spirit of an evil man

It’s a conjugal visit of the damned

He is free

He is free

He is free, finding a lone stranger

Placing that man’s life in danger

Slipping into him without a sound

Possessing him, the two are bound

His body is the spirits to use

Let the fun and games ensue

He finds her

He finds her

He finds her there waiting

Legs splayed, masturbating

Ready for a night of unbridled sin

Feeling him enter deep within

Fulfilling her every little need
By giving her…

All she ever wanted was a friend

Somebody to have fun with and play

To help alleviate the lonesome days

Everyone she encountered ran away

Rousing the evil residing within

Now she plays everyday with her prey

~

Hair drapes over her hideous face

As she bashes her victims with lead

Taking care not to leave them for dead

Considering the days of play ahead

Dragging their limp bodies to her place

Leaving trails in the field marked in red

~

Limp bodies chained at the end of the hall

With every swing the evil inside swells

Answering to sad cries that turn into yells

As her sufferers beg and plead for help

Fresh blood is spread along every wall

To summon evil spirits with her spells
