With a Little Help from My Friends
This blog post and episode of Live Your Passion TV is a bit different than usual. I’ve got some fun and exciting information to share. But I also have a favor or two to ask. It’s interactive TV, today, friends. I hope you’ll indulge me …
I don’t want to spoil the surprises unveiled here but let’s just say that if you have a bookstore in your area that you feel would benefit from carrying my new book, How to Live Your Passion & Fulfill Your Dreams, we’ve now got a way to bring the book to your neighborhood retailer. And you can help.
In the video, I mention some upcoming events. If you’d like to attend, especially the Big Event on April 29th in Seattle, here’s a link to my calendar page: http://liveyourpassiontv.com/events/
Oh, and the most important thing, the big interactive part of today’s show is this, I’d like to ask you to post a comment about the book—if you’ve already read it, of course. If you liked the book, if it touched you, please let me know. Please share your comments here in the box below, and maybe even copy them over to the book page on Amazon.com at http://amzn.com/149522984X The more people who comment here, and on Amazon.com, the more peopled will find out about the book and help to spread its positive message.

Share the Love
What I didn’t realize four years ago when I set out to write my book, How to Live Your Passion & Fulfill Your Dreams, was how humbling yet uplifting it would feel to share the book with others.
Writing is a solitary experience. You toil for years on an idea, conducting research, interviewing people, taking notes and editing, editing, editing. (It’s something I’m driven to do, and I love it. Please don’t misunderstand that. I am a writer. Next to breathing, it’s pretty much the thing I do as a reflex, as a verification that I am actually alive in the world. Gotta do it, or I’m not really here.)
After all of that time talking about it, working on it and getting it published, I guess it never occurred to me that the people around me would be so truly enthusiastic about it. I’ve been a writer for a long time. My family is used to me publishing the thoughts in my head in article form. It’s become pretty routine, really, since I’ve published articles in magazines and newspapers more than a thousand times. I guess I just thought the reaction would be the same. ‘Oh, here’s another nice Stacie Story.’
But that’s simply not the case. Everywhere I go, everyone I speak with, is truly and sincerely excited about the whole idea. And I don’t mean a nice polite smile kind of excited. I mean a jump up and down excited.
The very best part is that all of my friends and family, my neighbors and business associates, the tellers at the bank and the cashiers at the grocery store, friends I went to kindergarten with, dear people I haven’t seen in decades—they all react in the same way. They take ownership of it. They feel a part of it. They want to celebrate it, talk about it and share it with others.
This, my friends, is perhaps the greatest gift I have ever received.
I started out writing this book because I felt I had something to say, I thought it might be helpful to those who read it, and, quite frankly, if I didn’t write it I’d go a little crazy. So, I wrote it.
But now I realize that this book, now that it’s out in the world, no longer belongs to me alone. It belongs to everyone I come in contact with, and to everyone who reads it. It is a ripple, a wave set out from the shores of my consciousness that has spread to all who wade in. The gratitude I feel fills me up like no other adventure I’ve been blessed enough to experience.
So, I invite you to celebrate what has become the communal act of writing this book and launching it into the world, as we host an official Book Launch party. In fact, even this event wasn’t my idea, but the idea of some especially supportive friends around me. Their exuberance ensures that we will mark the occasion with food, champagne and laughter. I hope you will attend to mark this milestone—and share the love.

Sometimes a Girl’s Gotta Buy Her Own Damn Horse
Sometimes a girl’s just gotta buy her own damn horse! Self-reliance. Resiliency. The ability to advocate for oneself. These are the qualities that make a good business owner. Sarah Coble, owner of Hippik Equestrain Art, explains these concepts and more on this episode of Live Your Passion TV with Stacie Zinn Roberts.
