Downtime

As I am taking a break from writing for a while, I've moved this website (I know, again) back to Blogger, where it lived a few years ago. There may be some downtime as I make this transition happen, but I'm going to do my best to make it as brief as possible.
All links to pages and blog posts will be different once the site moves, but that can't be helped at this point, and I apologize for any inconvenience.[image error]

Taking a Break

I'm going to take a break from blogging for a while, and writing in general.
I don't know how long this break will be, but there is a chance this could become permanent and until I decide what's going to happen, the blog and website at large will remain as-is. You can use the links in the sidebar to the right to navigate through posts.
Thanks for stopping by!

Into the Unknown: Hang Lee

"If I don't come back, come and look for me."
If those words were spoken in a horror movie, we'd all know the person who said them was doomed. But in real life, nothing is as clear as that. When seventeen year old Hang Lee said them to her brother on January 12, 1993, he never dreamed they'd be the last words he'd ever hear from his sister.

Into the Unknown: Update Special 2019

I've been writing Into the Unknown posts every month for a little over two years now, and the time feels like it's flown by. I've covered dozens of cases, and I'm pleased to say that several of them have updates, and one was solved before I published it. I have been updating the individual cases as the information has become available, but I wanted to do a big update post, so you can read through all the updates in one session.
I added a...

Into the Unknown: Miranda Fenner

I wouldn't normally publish a post that was solved before publication. However, I already had this post written when I read the news of the solution to the case, and because I live near the city Miranda lived in when she died, I decided to go ahead with the post. Any outdated information is only outdated because of the resolution, but Miranda still deserves to be known, and remembered. Please read through the post and find the solution at the bottom.

Into the Unknown: Arianna Fitts

I took a break from Into the Unknown last month, but we're back this month with the disappearance of a beautiful little girl, and the murder of her mother. This case is heartbreaking, and the devastated family deserves answers.
On April 1, 2016, a family was torn apart by the disappearance of Nicole 'Nikki' Fitts and her two-year-old daughter Arianna. They were further devastated when Nikki's body was found just days later. But the discov...

Into the Unknown: Sister Cathy Cesnik

This is probably the most controversial case I've profiled so far, and the one that I think is the most frustrating. It all starts with the murder of a nun in 1969 and brings us all the way up to today, where there are no answers to be had despite a plethora of clues and theories. Those theories, which include eyewitness accounts, recovered memories, and shocking revelations, bring us into the sordid world of institutional sex abuse. There also may be a connection to the unsolved murder of at...

Into the Unknown: Connie Converse

Generally when someone who is considered a celebrity goes missing, it's of their own volition. They either need privacy to deal with personal issues, or are struggling with circumstances either obvious or unknown to their fans and the media.
Most of the time, these mysteries are short-lived and easily solved. Often, the celebrity themselves reappear on their own.

Into the Unknown: The Irish Crown Jewels

We've been digging into some dark territory lately, and I thought we'd take a break from it for one month and talk about something, while not lighter, certainly less gruesome.
On June 16, 1907, the Irish Crown Jewels were discovered missing from their home at Dublin Castle. Embarrassingly, they were stolen right from under the noses of those charged with protecting them, and could have been missing for weeks before their theft was discover...

Being an Indie Author: I Messed Up

The title of this post says it all. I messed up, but I have fixed it and we can all move on.
Except I want to talk about it, because I feel like the world doesn't really understand what an undertaking being an independent author is sometimes. This is sort of a continuation of my last post, The Rundown. If you haven't read that one, head over there, then come on back and read about my mistake. And how I fixed it.
