Change Is A-Comin’!
I have made the decision to take down this website. When it comes right down to it, it wasn't even that tough a decision. This site doesn't get a ton of traffic and doesn't help drive book sales, so I feel it's time to let it go. The domain is set to expire late next year and I’m going to let it.
Despite all this, though, I am going to be editing, updating, and re-publishing all my Into the Unknown posts on their very own website starting late fall / early winter 2024.

Books of The Year 2020

I read 26 books in 2020. Far less than I like, but more than I thought I'd get through in such a crazy year. Global pandemic, lockdown, pulling kids from public school, going back to school for a certificate myself, returning to full-time work after 7 years of working from home. None of these things were conducive to reading. And yet, I beat my goal of 24 books for the year. Barely.
I read some duds this year. I was disappointed in Mexican Gothic, which I was looking forward to. I also didn't li...

Though he was more popular in Europe during his lifetime, he is now one of the most highly regarded American writers in the States, as well.

Into the Unknown: Dexter Stefonek

The case of Dexter Stefonek is heartbreaking as it is baffling. Dexter Stefonek was a recent widower struggling with the death of his wife. On a trip returning home to northern Wisconsin from his son's home in Washington State, he went missing from a rural rest stop outside Glendive, Montana and was later found murdered at an illegal trash dump.
No one deserves to be thrown away like trash, and his family has waited for answers for decades.
