Second Chances Kindle Scout
Just submitted the kindle scout campaign for Second Chances, and it is currently under review by amazon before it goes live. Hopefully in the next few days the campaign will be up and running and I'll be able to give the URL to nominate the new work!
Thanks everyone!

Ripples Through Time Seal of Approval
Ripples Through Time just got the Seal of Approval from Literary Classics as a highly recommended novel, and they posted a really nice review to go along with it.
Later today they are announcing finalists for the actual awards, so fingers crossed that I'll have some good news soon.

Second Chances almost finished
I'm currently working on finishing up two new projects I'm hoping to have on amazon by the end of the year. Second Chances is a sort of spiritual successor to Ripples Through Time, and I'm hoping to put it on Kindle Scout to see if it gains any traction. UAV is something I finished a long time ago and now I'm hoping to finish up editing it and putting it back together. I completely removed about 40% of the original content, so now I just need to make sure it still makes sense and can stand as a book. I'm not sure if I'm just planning to post that one or try it on Kindle Scout as well.
In either case, Second Chances is my big project, and then a new work is in the pipe more like a novella. I plan to release installments for it, about 20k words apiece. This one is called Lost in Time.
So, hopefully soon I'll have three more works up on amazon.

Lincoln Cole Publishing
Updated the website to hopefully look a little nicer.
So far, since the August Release of both books, sales have been steady. Graveyard has outsold Ripples almost two to one, but Ripples had a lot of copies given away for free. Also, graveyard is doing well in the pages read of KENP, whereas Ripples hasn't had any included in that.

New Project
Just started working on a new project: World on Fire. I'm hoping to have it up for sale in the coming months, maybe by the end of the year. Still working on the cover :)

Nearing 1000 Twitter followers
Almost up to 1k twitter followers, so hopefully I can keep the ball rolling and break that barrier.
I'm still in the process of finding new marketing promotional things, which is fun. It makes it a lot more intense trying to figure out where to turn next, and I'm hoping some of them pay off really well.
Both novels have entirely new covers in their hardcopy versions, and they look quite a bit more professional. I'm hoping that they can start moving copies as time goes by now that they have amazing covers.
Thanks!

Experiences with Amazon (after 2 weeks!)
Amazon.
Conglomerate giant, capable of destroying and creating with barely a thought, this is the creature we must face when we publish novels.
We can't avoid it. Amazon is too powerful, so even if we avoid KDPSelect and go with competitors, we still have to use amazon as well.
So how have things been going so far? I've gotten a few sales, a few Select borrows and reads, a decent number of free copies dropped into the world, and one review.
Of course, I have a lot of people available who would like to review, but they aren't allowed. In July, Amazon began cracking down heavily on who was allowed to review your work, and anyone associated even remotely is blocked. That includes family and friends. It also includes, in many cases, fans.
Which means that in this world of social networking, one of the ways you can have reviews blocked and removed from amazon is by networking with people who read your book. If they ask a question on facebook, and you answer, then Amazon might consider your relationship too 'friendly' and block that fan.
This might seem draconic. Probably because it is, but there is nothing we can do about it, because Amazon has all the power.
In the next few weeks I'm trying a smattering of different paid and free promotional options, and I'll post about my results and feelings on those systems later.
Thanks!
