The Unknown Man:
Once upon a time there lived an unknown man. He was quite unknown. Far more unknown than the secrets of happiness and, the future. No one knew him, except no one else. It was not known if he was unknown even. He had never been born either because no one, neither his mother, nor the hospital records knew of that unknown man. Even his dog, Mr. Tom Vader, who knows everything including what is under the bed, did not know who his master was. The man's father had once famously remarked – 'my son is unknown to me, or, at the very least, I believe he is unknown to me. Yet, even though he is unknown to me, he shall continue to be my son, my heart.' It could not be proven if the unknown man had ever married. His wife, his only wife with a great taste in dresses and high heels, because she did not know her husband, failed to bring the evidence of his existence. On being questioned she would say – 'I am married, but because I am married to an unknown man I don’t know him or of his whereabouts.' Likewise, his friends had never spent a single memorable day with the man whom they did not know. He was so unknown to them that they had suppressed their desire to meet him just to keep his unknown status as unknown. Hence, this way, everyone who did not know him aided with his ailment of being unknown, making it worse. Philosophers loved the unknown man for the many mysterious implications of his existence, or non-existence. In the days it was popular to say – to not know is to know. But in his case it was more like – to not know if one knows if one knows not. This unsolvable problem of the mind led to much confusion. The unknown man, even though he himself was a student of philosophy, stayed away from it all. Confusion could not get to him. Even death could not get him. The Department of Death feared that if they were to attempt to fetch him he would be forever known in the records of hell, which is impossible because he is an unknown man. That was how the unknown man came to enjoy immortality. Like God, and Dracula.
