She is the author of two novels, SAVING PHOEBE MURROW and STRANGE SHAPE OF LOVE (released on September 30, 2025). Both fall into the category of suspenseful women's fiction and address contemporary topics, in this case the dark side of social media and the internet. Her short stories and memoir have been published in anthologies and literary journals. In the wake of the James Frey scandal, Feely edited and published the anthology, Confessions: Fact or Fiction? She was awarded the James Jones First Novel Fellowship and an Artist in Literature Fellowship from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. A graduate of UC Berkeley and Jo ...more

Marketing Tip #3 – Guest Blogs

Cyberbullying PreventionThis series of marketing tips will conclude with the “guest blog.” Bloggers often want and need content so they turn to others to provide it for them. Some ask you to pay for this, but often it’s free. They see the advantage of having fresh and interesting content without taking the time and effort of writing it themselves, and you as the guest blogger can draw attention to yourself or something

Not wild about this novel. I'd give it 3.5 stars. I'm not a fan of first person, present tense. And in this story we are ensconced in Cassie's inner world to the point of navel gazing that didn't move the story forward quickly enough and seemed to bo ...more

Strange Shape of Love by Herta Feely
"This was a chilling tale of revenge, mixed with a bit of mystery, and love. The story starts off with a hint of what’s to come, then takes us back to before the threat arrived. I enjoyed the descriptions, they bring each unique setting to life. My he" Read more of this review »
Strange Shape of Love by Herta Feely
"Strange Shape of Love is a fast-paced, juicy read as well as an intriguing and frightening look into the world of revenge porn. I found the main character, Charlotte Cooper, engaging and believable as she fights to keep her career on track and reunit" Read more of this review »
Strange Shape of Love by Herta Feely
"Strange Shape of Love surprised me in a good way. I tend to enjoy books with darker themes, and this one definitely delivered…blackmail, secrets, and the past coming back to haunt you. It had enough thriller elements to keep me guessing, while still " Read more of this review »

I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
Marilyn Monroe

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”

“Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.”

“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.”

Marilyn Monroe
“This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soulmate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”
