Kyrus 6 - A sleepless Emperor
Diryish Pollus sat upright, refusing the lulling too-soft pillows, pulling his silk nightshirt snug around his wrinkled old neck. Here in private chambers all his veils were removed, though everyone of lesser stature still went covered. It was late enough that he was alone in what would have been darkness, except for the alabaster lamps glowing from the massive stone posts of

Kyrus 5 - Nadian's Research
To make up for the short EC post: It was claimed that the pile of rock was haunted and not only could one hear the screams of the Deei but one could still smell the stink of sulfur. It was seen as a judgment of the Light and now only amulet hawkers in the Basin claimed any kind of esoteric powers in Lainz. For himself Nadian was more annoyed, by them destroying

130 - Truth
Dear Readers.... a very short post tonight... I will add more later tonight... I've again not been feeling well so we'll press on. I have to write a good 10,000 words tonight and tomorrow to pay a certain bill. My apologies again.__________________________I put the letter down on my desk face down and closed my eyes. It was my first message from Sinimas. His 'from the front' stories were

129 - In the Mirror
Please note; In response to the request for more Kyrus I've done two posts tonight. This one is EC, the other is below...Ilesias was paddling along the length of the stairs in the cool pool all on his own without fear now and he kept bobbing down the stairs so that whichever of my companions was taking turns watching him had to keep catching him and dragging him back, giggling.Swimming student

Response to Donation: Kyrus 4
The problem with the old 'Cliner's papers was that you could never be sure if what you were staring at was a character, a spot of mold or a decaying chunk of the 'Cliner himself. The light in Nadian's study made the creamy stone glow luminous, the walls still radiating gentle heat even this late at night. Outside, in the desert night, there was the swirl of light snow blowing down in the canyon

Author's Note - Re: Kyrus
I will be continuing to write 'Kyrus' but I cannot afford to keep posting a lot of it -- unless I can get specific donations toward the book. If I get enough I will post the whole thing... but e-press is interested in the completed manuscript, so that will be hanging fire.If I get enough donations I will set up a separate Kyrus site.Let me know what you'd like... please vote with your 'Donate'

128 - The old flame is burning wild
Arkan censor's note: Oras, I've warned you and Tzan both, once. This scribble is just that. Decorative scratchings top and bottom. The whole page actually has a figure hidden in it if you stare at it right. It's so-called ART if one can call barbarian scribbling art at all. Quit sending me this nonsense, or I'll ask you be retired for mental stress!" [In stone script:] Elders.

Kyrus Post 3 I'll have mercy on you
If he were uncomfortable seeing bare faces, seeing everyone's bare body almost threw him into shock. The first time, he'd tried not showering; jogging back to the Surdeniliarch's in his sweat and had been sent back immediately. Fortunately by then, he'd discovered, the girls were all gone and all but three other boys. That, he found, he could manage."So, you going to Honey's tonight, Kyrus?"

Kyrus Post 2 In the training hall
Hey Guys, Had to take a guest back down to Toronto today to catch a plane tomorrow, with a two hour Cirque du Soleil show in between. This is with Karen so the five of us were jammed into the one car and I couldn't write the next EC. I hope you enjoy this training session. Kyrus's arms hurt, his chest burned and he thought he was going to either faint or throw up, but at
