End of May…Already!?!

Time sure does fly! Wow! May flew by super fast. All of 2018 has gone by in a blur. (UGH) The kids are already out of school. (That’s another ‘ugh’) We have a busy four weeks coming up. Heading to Texas first week of June. There for a week to work around my mother’s house. Then we are heading to New Jersey to see my mom’s side of the family. Who I haven’t seen in forever!!! I am super excited! Have a lot of things in mind to do with the boys. I especially want to do the Wildwood Boardwalk with them. I’m kidnapping my cousin, Crystal, to have fun at the Boardwalk since I don’t think the boys will ride on all the rides with me! (Sorry, Crystal…HA)

The person who took this picture did an AMAZING job! Breath Taking!

It seems that whenever I am feeling low, my mailbox turns into a passageway to happiness. I went and checked my mail a day or two ago and had a surprise. A surprise from a very special person in Alaska names Kris. She is awesome! (Kris, you totally made my week!)

Blog! Blog! Blog!

Okay, so which one of you awesome sauces wants to be my personal assistant or my clone? Any takers? Hope so. I could sure use one…or two.

My mother is currently in town visiting until the end of summer. I am sooooooo happy. My mother is my best friend, my hero, my anchor! Once I get a chance, I will snap a selfie of us together. We both try to avoid pictures. I guess I could draw a picture of her and me. (Stick figures. HA!)

Today is hubby’s birthday so I am prepping for that. He’s at work but I have a feeling time is going to fly by! Time always flies by when you need it to pace itself. However, if you are at work, the seconds of the day seem to even go slow. Hopefully, I will be able to get the stuff I need to be done.

The paranormal romance anthology, A Guide to Claiming a Scaredy Cat, that I am a co-coordinator and an author of, is going strong. Readers are really enjoying these ten stories. All of the authors worked really hard on their stories and knowing that readers appreciate their work makes me smile. I cannot praise these stories and authors enough. Have any of you read the anthology, yet? If so, how did you like it? If not, here’s the link to buy your copy, right meow!

This year has been flying by. It seems like my to-do list keeps getting longer and disappearing into the back of my mind for a few weeks.

When it rains it pours

Even in the darkest hour, remember that you are not alone. There is always someone walking in the same shoes down a different path. Hang in there. You’ll get through this.

S.O.B

Okay. Which one of you lovelies wants to be my damn personal assistant or my children’s nanny? I need one of the two, but preferably both. Sigh.

Living with depression is such a drag. (literally) One minute you’re on top of the world. The next minute, you’re wanting to shove your head into a big thing of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. It’s like a very shitty rollercoaster. I love rollercoasters but this one is shitty. It is like it keeps stopping in the middle of the ride leaving me dangling upside down. Or it stops just as I’m in the middle of the fun drop. (Grrrr.) Either let me have the fun rollercoaster or let me the fuck off. Ya know? Ah. The life of me.

Moving on to better not so shitty topics (HA). The paranormal romance anthology that I am co-coordinating and an author in is kicking ass! It hasn’t released yet, but our FB page is hopping and the pre-orders are rolling in. It makes me smile. A portion of the proceeds is going to the Wounded Warrior Project! As a veteran, this just makes me smile ear to ear. Doing good always feels good. Right?

Wasn’t a Cake Walk

Probably one of the hardest thing I have had to do was yesterday. I walked my youngest to school, then decided to fight the tears and walk my normal route. You know, the route I usually walked with our dog…before the dog incident, my arms ripped to shreds and him euthanized? Yeah, that route. I had to keep voice messaging my baby cousin to keep me motivated. I wanted to quit a few steps into it. It was so overwhelming. A simple walk had me ready to cry and not because I was out of shape (which I am), but because of the painful happy memories.

[image error]Needless to say, I fought through the emotional drain and surprisingly, I wasn’t dying physically at the end of it. I took a few weeks off, but my body didn’t skip a beat. I ended up doing 3 miles in the morning and then another 3 miles with hubby after he came home from work. It felt great to walk for exercise again. It is always nice to get lost in nature…and the sound of crazy ass mopeds, wannabe street racers, and suped-up dualies. Ah. The joys of living in a city. (Please, note that I do not live in the center or Las Vegas. I actually live on the outskirts by one of the mountain ridges. Could you imagine if I did live in the center? The things I would hear and see! Oh! My!)

This morning! **Yes. That’s a soccer ball.
