This (chap) Book Will Change Your Life - Some Identity Problems by Corey Mesler.

Whenever we think about TBWCYL, Inc. favorite and This Zine Will Change Your Life contributor Corey Mesler a phrase always comes to mind, you sir are a gentleman, a scholar and a fine judge of liquor. And it was no different as we read the poems in Some Identity Problems, except that we were also reminded of the fact that no one writes about males like Mesler does; males and females, males and writing, males and their relationships with their children and God and even themselves. Mesler just...

Reed. Graham. Virginity. Woe. Largehearted. Flatmancrooked. All of it.

Quite exciting indeed to see two of our favorite writers, the John Reed and the Barry Graham, making appearances in two of our favorite venues, Largehearted Boy, via a Book Notes Essay, and Flatmancrooked, via the 10 Everywhere series, respectively. We would add, that John's new book Tales of Woe is currently being consumed here at TBWCYL, Inc. headquarters and we will report back on it soon. Very, very soon.

99 Problems is down with Ryan W. Bradley and the Big Other. We are also much appreciative for some Bradley love at the Third Face.

Big thanks to the Ryan W. Bradley for talking 99 Problems with TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer at the Big Other. Enjoy some excerpt below.

RWB: My favorite piece in the collection is, perhaps, "After Dark." About which I have two questions. Looking back on this essay how do you feel about the larger questions you raised about your writing career? I feel it's rare for writers, especially of the "indie" variety to talk candidly about the struggle and desire for success as a...

Impose Codex Deckfight 99 Problems Quick Questions interview madness.

Old friend, TBWCYL, Inc. favorite and fearless leader of the Deckfight empire Josh Spilker was kind of enough to talk 99 Problems with TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer and we are most grateful. We are also providing you with an excerpt because we are good like that.

This is the first non-fiction thing i've read by you (I think). do you see some stylistic differences in your non-fiction vs. your fiction?

"This may be the first non-fiction piece you've read, unless you ran into some of my...

This Book Will Change Your Life - We Know What We Are by Mary Hamilton. And an interview.

We have had the chance to not only read We Know What We Are by Mary Hamilton, but interview her as well at the Orange Alert. The collection itself is filled with blasts of sometimes surreal short fiction that is equal parts obsession, an ode to freaks and outsiders, sadness and celebration of pop culture as a filter for all that bangs around Mary's head. And the interview? Sublime, so please do enjoy the excerpt below.

I know for myself, that much of the time when I'm writing a story I...

The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live, Fishel and all full of cigarettes, harmonicas and Dylan. Or something like that.

The new edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life is live and all full of cigarettes and harmonicas. Or something like that. We have a new poem Not Much Today by Zach Fishel, which we are way excited about, and, (almost) as always, photo action from Adam Lawrence, music curation from Jason Behrends and sinking economic poll numbers prose love from Pete Anderson. We hope you enjoy this edition and we appreciate all shout-outs and links. Also, all submissions from this point forward are being...

Mickey Hess. Blurb. 99 Problems. Brilliance.

The incomparable Mickey Hess announced yesterday at The Rumpus that he would blurb any book within 24 hours. We decided to take take him up on that offer with 99 Problems and got a most excellent blurb from our newest, and most favoritest BFF in the whole world.

"Ben Tanzer fans know that he took to writing novels in the hope that he could outrun death. From a runner's perspective this may seem extraordinarily strange, but it turns out that Tanzer is staying in shape, reading his thoughts...
