Ninja is leaving Twitch for Mixer
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, one of the most popular Fortnite streamers on Twitch, is switching platforms.
Ninja announced that he’s leaving Twitch to stream exclusively on Microsoft’s Mixer. Ninja is one of Twitch’s biggest stars, mostly thanks to his Fortnite content.
His channel is constantly ranked amongst the top-grossing, most followed on the platform, to say nothing of his reach on YouTube and social media. Although the move to Mixer over YouTube Gaming may surprise some, it’s reportedly been the result of a bidding war.
Escapist reports that Twitch, YouTube Gaming and Mixer all negotiated for exclusive rights, with numbers ranging from $50 to $100 million.
“I know this may come as a shock to many of you, but as of today, I will be streaming exclusively on Mixer,” Blevins, who has 15 million Twitch followers, said in a video posted to Twitter. “I feel like this is a really good chance to get back in touch with my roots and really remember why I fell in love with streaming in the first place.” Here’s the video:

10 Hacks to Fix the Touchpad on Windows 10
Sometimes, the touchpad
on your computer will stop working when you are running Windows 10. The
scrolling function may stop working properly or the Windows 10 device may stop
detecting the touchpad completely.
Causes
of Issues in Windows 10 Touchpad
The touchpad on
computers, laptops and tablets running Windows may stop functioning due to an
out-of-date Windows 10 version or incompatibility between drivers and software.
Faulty hardware and
changing important settings can also contribute to this problem.
How
to Fix Touchpad Issues in Windows 10
Make sure it is properly connected. The first
thing to do when you discover that your touchpad is misbehaving is to check whether
you have connected it well. If the touchpad is connected using a USB, confirm
that either ends of the cable are completely plugged in.
If the touchpad you are
using is part of your keyboard, then ensure the keyboard is connected
completely to your tablet.
Unplug the touchpad and reconnect it. Sometimes,
this simple action can solve all your touchpad issues. For Type Cover users, disconnect
the Type Cover and reconnect it. Check the battery. When the touchpad’s
battery is running out of charge, the touchpad may start malfunctioning. This
is even more likely if it connects to the Windows 10 machine through Bluetooth.
Get new batteries and see if the
problems are still there. Turn Bluetooth on. If the Bluetooth
touchpad is on but not being detected by the Windows 10 device, see if you have
accidentally disabled Bluetooth. Go to the Action Center and check the
Bluetooth tile. Dim means it is off and lit up means it is on. Click the tile
to turn it on if it is off.Reboot the Windows 10 device. This action
is a cliché and you hear it whenever you have an issue with your electrical
device. However, it does fix several issues including a malfunctioning touchpad.
Launch the Start Menu, click on the Power option and choose Restart.Enable your touchpad. An app, another user
or even you may have disabled the touchpad, either intentionally or without
knowing. Go to Settings, then Devices, and then Touchpad. The switch should be
set to On.See if there is a Windows 10 update. An update
installs the latest OS version and device drivers. It also updates firmware to
help devices such as your touchpad work properly.
If your Windows 10 device
is new, an update is even more important. Go to Settings, then Update &
Security and then Check for Update.
Run a troubleshooter. The Windows 10 OS
comes with troubleshooter programs which can scan your device and connected parts
for errors. Go to Settings, then Update & Security, then Troubleshoot, then
Hardware and Devices and then Run.Update your device drivers. Updating a
device driver may make it compatible with the OS and hardware. Install drivers manually if your computer
is not made by Microsoft.

Mixer video game streaming service to let all streamers earn money
In a rather surprising move, it has been announced today that Microsoft’s Mixer video game streaming platform would be rolling out monetization features to all accounts in the near future regardless of the number of followers they have or whether they’re a Mixer Partner.
The news was mentioned briefly as part of a much large blog post covering the cancellation of the Mixer Create app and a renewed focus on safety and online security as the service grows.
While, few details were laid out, the post does confirm that the Ember and Spark virtual currencies will be enabled on all accounts first with account subscriptions and extra money-making features coming at a later date. The rollout of all monetization features is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Currently, accounts have to reach certain audience engagement and viewer number levels before being upgraded to a Mixer Partner and given full access to monetization tools. By opening up the possibility to make money by streaming video games from Day One, Mixer suddenly becomes a very tempting option for those thinking of starting a streaming career.
Are you excited to have these monetization features unlocked? Let us know why or why not in the comments below and then follow us on Twitter for more Mixer news.

Tesla will add Netflix and YouTube streaming to its cars
Never mind playing games in your Tesla — for many, the dream has been to catch up on shows while charging or waiting for a passenger. And that vision might soon come true. Elon Musk has revealed that Tesla’s cars will “soon” offer Netflix and YouTube streaming so long as the car is stopped. He didn’t go into detail for the functionality, but claimed it would have an “immersive, cinematic feel” since you’re sitting in posh seats with surround sound.
You should eventually have the option to watch on the move, too. Musk added that Tesla would allow on-the-move viewing once regulators approve self-driving abilities. You probably won’t want to hold your breath for that one when autonomous driving is so far only legal in very limited capacities, but this does suggest that you’ll one day catch up on Stranger Things while your EV brings you to work.
Ironically, the news is most likely to favor people who own lower-end Teslas like the Model 3 and the upcoming Model Y. While the Model S and X technically have larger screens, they’re in vertical orientations — you’ll end up wasting a lot of screen space trying to watch Netflix and YouTube videos. The lower-end cars have wide-aspect screens that make them better-suited to video. Few people will buy a car based on its ability to stream shows, of course, but it’ll be something to consider if you frequently find yourself idling in your car for episode-length stints.
Ability to stream YouTube & Netflix when car is stopped coming to your Tesla soon! Has an amazingly immersive, cinematic feel due to the comfy seats & surround sound audio.

Madden 20: Release Date Info and Newest Features
It is about to be August, and you know what that means: It’s Madden season, baby. Or, for forward-thinking fans who already put up the money, there’s already been a taste of Madden season—and all of this year’s new features.
The game’s official release date is Friday, but EA Access members have had the opportunity to play 10 hours of Madden NFL 20 since Thursday. As for those of us less privy to the perks of membership? We can get a jumpstart on all our run-pass options and no-look passes by pre-ordering the Superstar or Ultimate Superstar editions.
Going the Superstar-to-Ultimate-Superstar route has its merits. Of those, the vast majority are added game-mode bonuses you would either have to grind for or, in a fit of laziness, pay for later. Alternatively, you can have those bonuses and still start grinding early—as those editions grant players access to the game Tuesday.
This year’s gridiron simulator seems to have hit the sweet spot for new features—somewhere between the uninspiring features (or lack thereof) in Madden NFL 19 and what feels like yesteryear’s but is in fact 2006’s, unloved quarterback vision cone.
