This summer, I was in Spain and picked up book 1 of King City in Spanish. All your little word plays and puns that you decorate the city with are translated. Have you seen your translated works? Also, I picked up David Rubin & Santiago Garcia's Beowulf. Ha

I was in Barcelona recently at a comic con where I got to see all the Spanish editions of my stuff. I met so many amazing artists (got to hang out with my comics bruthers, Emma Rios and Xurxo Penalta) and the translator of Multiple Warheads and Prophet, El Torres gave me some of his books NANCY IN HELL. Fun stuff. I feel for the poor dudes who have to deal with all my puns and hand lettering in other languages. But yeah, I was really happy with the Spanish editions of my stuff.

I met David Rubin too and he gave me a copy of his Beowulf. It looks awesome. I started reading his aurora west book this week too and really enjoyed it so far.

Also, while I was there I got a copy of José Domingo’s Adventures of a Japanese Businessman. That NoBrow put out over here. Such a fun weird great book

Hey Brandon we met at ECC this year and we talked science fiction, writing, and other ish and you mentioned a book by Ursula Le Guin about writing scifi and I cannot find out about that book. Oh and any scifi comics you can suggest? Prophet is hands down

The Le Guin book is The language of the night.

As far as sci fi comics.

Waters of deadmoon by adamov, The Nausicaä manga is amazing. Bilal’s Nikopol books. any Moebius. garcia lopez’s star raiders, Carla Speed McNeil’s Finder. the transmutation of ike garuda,  The forever war comic adaptions. Pluto by Urasawa, Venus Wars by Yas. And there’s the other sci fi stuff some dudes on Prophet made Expansion by Matt and Malachi, Farel’s new Wrenchies book, Simon’s Jan’s Atomic heart. Barlow’s Zooniverse. —I’m sure I’m leaving out a lot of great stuff.

and thanks a lot.

would you consider opening a store to sell your art/shirts/merch online? Or maybe there already is one?

There’s the site my pal Robin has to sell my pages. here.

I’m bad at the selling part of this comics shizz. I mostly just want to make the stuff and then have other people deal with the distribution. This is why my publisher Image is so nice for me. I need to do a shirt through them still hmmmmm

Do you do commisions?

I have a bunch from the Inkstuds kickstarter I need to do but mostly I wanna focus on making new comics and messing around in my sketchbook for fun.
