Is it just me, or does every artist worth their weight in Heavy Metal comics do a version of Moebius' Starwatcher?

There was a thing a few years back where a bunch of artists did their own versions. (here’s an article on it) and my Priss from Bubble gum crisis version.

Initially I’d done a drawing based on a panel from the Moebius Apple Pie panel after seeing Pope draw one. (an article on that herreee)

It’d be fun to do something like this again.

Will you be doing comissions at this years thought bubble? Is there a list? FOR YOU ARE THE SHIT.

Yeah, I always do free drawings at shows. I’ve been wondering if I should figure out a better way to do it. Usually I just draw whatever but that makes for long lines and people have to wait 3 hours just to get some books signed. I should look into how people who get more attention than me do it. Maybe I could do signing times and sketch times. hmmmmmm

also THANKS!!!

These are the real problems…

This summer, I was in Spain and picked up book 1 of King City in Spanish. All your little word plays and puns that you decorate the city with are translated. Have you seen your translated works? Also, I picked up David Rubin & Santiago Garcia's Beowulf. Ha

I was in Barcelona recently at a comic con where I got to see all the Spanish editions of my stuff. I met so many amazing artists (got to hang out with my comics bruthers, Emma Rios and Xurxo Penalta) and the translator of Multiple Warheads and Prophet, El Torres gave me some of his books NANCY IN HELL. Fun stuff. I feel for the poor dudes who have to deal with all my puns and hand lettering in other languages. But yeah, I was really happy with the Spanish editions of my stuff.

I met David Rubin too and he gave me a copy of his Beowulf. It looks awesome. I started reading his aurora west book this week too and really enjoyed it so far.

Also, while I was there I got a copy of José Domingo’s Adventures of a Japanese Businessman. That NoBrow put out over here. Such a fun weird great book
