First sketching–the first 30 or so lines with a pencil brush–on the new XP Pen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) graphics display tablet. Super smooth, very fast, feels like a pencil–as it should. “Cloud War”, painted mostly in Art Rage. This is an old one from my art folder. I painted this 7 or 8 years ago for a story idea I was working on. I loved the fanciful mix of world war one biplane pilots dog fighting with dangerously powerful winged beings that threw grenades, and could even dive-bomb battleships. And who knows what other powers they have!
