European Union Literary Prize: Winner and Special Mentions - Publishing Perspectives

I do a lot of traveling for you.While tootling around in the Catosphere today Panzer stopped in at the Publishing Perspectives site. There our adventuresome kitty boy found a post about the European Union Prize for Literature winner. According to Porter Anderson's post, this year's European Union Prize for Literature long list was open to one author from each of the forty countries in the European Union. The long list was then narrowed to thirteen. The winner and two special mentions were then announced from the short list.The post includes links to information on the Prize for Literature, how the winner and special mentions are chosen, and the short list. Panzer says, "You'll need to read it all for yourself to understand it." Note: This is a long post. Women on Top Down Under - The Rap Sheet

Sisters in Crime are everywhere.At The Rap Sheet site Panzer found a post about the Sisters in Crime Australia longlist for the Davitt Awards. The Rap Sheet site owner J. Kingston Pierce's post includes the part of the longlist for adult mystery novels. There's a link to more information about the Davitt Awards after the adult novels nominees.. Panzer says, "They've been presenting these awards for a long time." To read the post tootle over to  Australian Writing Awards

PRH Buys U.K. Based Wonderbly - Publishers Weekly

Does it make you wonder why it's a secret?Panzer stopped in at the Publishers Weekly site today. With no digging at all he found a post about publisher Penguin Random House (PRH). According to Jim Milliot's post, PRH purchased independent publisher Wonderbly. Also included in the post is a history of Wonderbly, it's future operations, and information about PRH's other publisher buys.
Panzer says, "Hmm ... No information about the purchase price."  Note: This is a short medium length post. Bring a cup of tea and a chocolate chip cookie (biscuit) to snack on. To read the post tootle over to PRH and Wonderbly.
