Audible discontinues audio digest of NYT, WSJ and Washington Post stories - GeekWire

Today's trip into the Catosphere took Panzer to the GeekWire site. With a little digging in the posts our intrepid kitty traveler found one about Amazon's Audible.
Okay. As long as it's still free.
According to the post by Todd Bishop Audible has discontinued the free to Audible members daily narrated digests for NYT (New York Times), WSJ (Wall Street Journal) and Washington Post. Instead members are directed to Audible podcasts for their news. There are links included in the post about the history of the Audible digests.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... So, instead of the NYT, WSJ and Washington Post news stories, members will get podcast news stories."

Note: This is a short post. Bring a half a cup of tea for today's reading selection.

A Panzerism

 Panzer on unintended consequences:
It's a thin line between cute and chaos.
Cute is ...
when the kitty swats at the reflection of a fly in the mirror.

Chaos is ...
when the kitty chases the fly...
It's the fly's fault. He made me do it.*

and ...
dives head first into the mirror...
and ...
the whole thing comes crashing down.

Public Domain Day 2022 - Center fo the Study of the Public Domain (Duke University)

Today as Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere he heard clapping and cheering outside the Panzermobile. Following all the hullabaloo took our adventuresome kitty boy to the Duke University Center for the Study of the Public Domain. There he found a post about what materials are now entering the Public Domain.
According to the post by Jennifer Jenkins, on January 1 material copyrighted in 1926 went into the Public Domain. This material includes books of children and adult fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Also entering the Public Domain are sound recordings "published" before 1923. This material includes music and movies. The post has lists of some of the more famous books, movies and music which is now in the Public Domain. Entering the Public Domain means anyone can get, have, and share the material.
Humans will do anything for money.
Panzer says, "Just like when Sherlock Holmes went into the Public Domain, Amazon is going to be flooded with people publishing this "new" Public Domain stuff."
Note: This is a long, long post. Bring a thermos of cocoa and six muffins for today's reading.
