ARC received from author for an honest review

I’m not even sure where to begin with this book…Tempting BAD is a spin-off from M. Robinson The VIP Trilogy I would recommend reading it before going into Tempting BAD as it may spoil a few things at least from the last book MVP.

We jump into Brooke and Devon’s lives before they meet each other and each had their own demons before coming together. Brooke is a spoiled rich kid who can’t seem to find herself after witnessing something that shattered her world on her sixteenth birthday. Ever since then she’s been trying to find her way in a sense and she’s never fully dealt with her emotions. She’s just put them in a box left to simmer until the pot explodes.

Devon’s life was the opposite. He grew up to fast and never really got to be a kid. His childhood hunts him for years and meeting Brooke helps to soothe his broken soul in a way no one ever could. They change each other…two halves of the same whole.

As soon as they met the only thing I could think of was Taylor Swift’s song “I Knew You Where Trouble”. That’s the first thing I thought of when Devon first sees Brooke. The girl is trouble…they are hot and then cold.

You want to choke them (mostly Brooke) and other times you’re just left there speechless wondering WTF you just read. Mrs. Robinson tells a story like no other and I’ve read everything she’s written to date and I will continue to read whatever she comes up with next…(waiting for Mika *cough*). We’ve just seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her writing and I for one can’t wait to see what twists and turns she comes up with next. Bravo and very well done!

“So what in the hell is phase three exactly?” Sam asked.

“Weapons,” Alexander said.

Alexander rolled his eyes. He swore Sam’s accent got thicker at times just to annoy the hell out of him. He did it on purpose to sound as ignorant as some of the other legacies thought he was, but Alexander knew better. Sam was smarter than Alexander and Alexander was a genius.

“You’re an idiot.”

“Yep and you still love me. Who’s teaching us these weapons you’re so excited about?”

Alexander gave Sam a rare smile.

“My father and your grandfather.”

“Don’t do that shit! I hate when you get that creepy smile on your face. It’s borderline psychotic.”

“And I hate when you sound like Hillbilly Bob, but you do it anyway to annoy me.”

Alexander and Samuel rushed to the shooting range on the hundreds of acres of land owned by The Society. Most of the Legacy families also had houses on the land but there was also cool stuff like the gym and this range. They were early as usual but Alexander’s father and Sam’s grandfather were already there as well.

“Well, someone’s eager for weapons training,” Derrick said.

Sam pointed his finger at Alexander and Alexander slapped it away.

“I just like to be early to things,” Alexander Jr. said.

“Like your father that way,” Derrick said.

“I learn from the best,” Alexander Jr. said.

“Flattery won’t soften me up, son,” Alexander Sr. said.

Sam snickered in the background.

“I can still beat you up,” Alexander Jr. said.

“I’ve been practicing with my brother,” Sam said, raising his chin.

Shakuita Johnson is a 30-year-old Psychology major who does not write erotica. Just because she has a few sex scene doesn’t mean her books fall in the erotica category. We pick right up after the events of When It’s Love…Henry is struggling with the aftermath of his lies and Sydney is hard pressed to forgive him. I’m not even sure where to beginning. After reading Roman book 1 I was practically left speechless. Then we move on to Roman’s Redemption which is full of twists, turns, lies, and betrayals. We catch up with what happened at the end of Roman and jump right into things. For the most part Roman hasn’t changed a bit in the beginning and it is only his daughter’s love that starts to pull him back from the edge. We learn more about characters such as his housekeeper, Sebastian, and Lizabeth. We get multiple POVs including Heather’s and Roman’s. You read this book and you think to yourself how much more can one person take before there is nothing left to take? Roman’s Redemption will leave you wanting the rest of the story and luckily there is a third installment to finish this trilogy off. Dark and gritty and full of shock and awe moments, if you’re a fan of Kimber than you’ll be a fan of this book.

1. When did you know you had a passion for writing?
When I was in the 8th grade…After Michael from A Woman Gone Mad. Remember, that’s when Lil started writing ;)
2. How do you come up with your books?
Jesus baby Christmas, I have no idea! Hahaha
I guess they come to me. A lot don’t make the cut unfortunately.
3. Which book was the most difficult to write?
Roman: Book 1
He was so unlike any of my other characters and so dead set on how it should be written. No contractions. Very little cursing. His sentences were all clipped and direct. Grrrrrr.
4. Out of all the characters you’ve written so far, who is your favorite?
Stella. Hands down, all day, everyday. For reasons a very few are able understand.
5. What are you working on next?
A FUNNY BOOK!!! Think The Sweetest Thing, Bridesmaid’s, and Sex in the City!!! Super stoked!
6. Where do you see your writing career in the next 5 years?
Hahahaha
At the rate I’m going probably dead or well past it. The politics and cut throat mentality are sometimes too much to consider continuing. Nobody likes to ask themselves, “Why am I even doing this?”

I was born and raised in

Louisiana… and No, I do NOT live in a bayou, I actually see the beaches on the

gulf coast more than I see a bayou, lol. I started writing poems and short

stories very early in my life. You know, for the Michael’s and Leo’s and Nick’s

in my life. I’ve been a book hoarder since I was eleven years old, but then a

couple years ago something wonderful happened! The 50 Shades of Grey craze

brought to life my inner smut whore and I commenced to read anything and

everything smut affiliated. When reading wasn’t enough anymore and I noticed

that so many of the authors of my favorite indie authors and their books

weren’t getting the exposure their work deserved, I turned it into a mission,

starting my own blog, buying their books and reading them one by one. I then

wrote my reviews for my blog and didn’t hold back in writing them (Hell yeah

those motherfuckers are profanity laden). I’ve never done a single thing in my

life halfway. I always go all in. After the success of my Blog, and the

insistence of one of my bestest friends, my sister from another mister, Trina

Taylor of Bad & Dirty Books, I was ready to finally take the plunge and see

if I could write a book that was worth a damn. I’m a Southern girl to my core,

a self-proclaimed smut whore, and I keep hearing that I’m an author, but

honestly… I don’t believe the rumors, lol. I don’t feel like a kickass bitch

spittin’ out lyrics, or stories, like a motherfuckin’ rockstar.

Deserves more than 5 stars!!!!

Wow yet again Kimber has done it again with Roman’s Redemption,

I didn’t think anything could top Roman but I was wrong, truly amazing, Kimber has a gift at telling dark, twisted and gritty reads, I was hooked from the first page.

One thing i am absolutely sure of i hated Seb all through the book, I had different thoughts on Roman, one minute i hated him the next minute I loved him and truly felt for him, one thing that did stay constant with me was i loved Heather, Mac, Mace she was kick ass.

Not for people who don’t read dark books as it isn’t for the faint hearted but i will say you really don’t know what you are missing if you don’t read this book!!!! ~Gemma

Kimber is sick and twisted and I love her mind, but I hate it just as much.

Never in my life have I hated 2 word more. The dislike I have for 6 little letters, THE END, is monumental. Normally, I’d want to ask why, but I realize your sick and twisted mind wouldn’t tell me. In the end, I have to admit, I love the evil that is Roman William Payne even more now than when I first met him. For the life of me I have no idea why.

This book is dark, so if you want or prefer sweet, don’t attempt this. You’ll want to run for the hill and pray to God to clean your mind just for looking this way. But if you enjoy the company of the little devil that’s parked on everyone of our shoulders, if you like the dark side of the tracks then by all means, go meet Roman.

Kimber is like the Rob Zombie of the book world. That’s how I see her. Dark, twisted, and messed the hell up. I’m totally girl crushing on her yet again.
