I need to get better at drawing Hoshi and the gang…
But, then again, if I don’t make art of the protag of my solo RPG campaign—then who will?
This is TRIP (they/them) by the way. They’re trying to beat the hardest video game of all time without dying. 🎮😨

Will make a big post later, for now here’s a thought:
Life finally started clicking for me when I made ‘balance’ the goal. Doing a little bit of the things I wanted to do *every day* has made all the difference.
January isn’t over and I’m already writing my *2nd* book of 2021.

I’m on a mission to demystify the writing process! Writing doesn’t have to be hard, daunting, or scary. Let me show you the actual process of how I write every day in 3 simple steps! 💛
1. HYPE UP / Do you know how many days I wake up *not* feeling like writing? It happens all the time, that’s why I make it a point to start the session with some HYPE. I put on my book’s inspiration playlist, close my eyes, and imagine my characters being awesome!

Last year, in the middle of quarantine, I introduced my wife to Monster Hunter. We played Generations Ultimate all the way through G-Rank and, last night, we finished the campaign in Iceborne!! 🎉
Can’t wait to share Monster Hunter Rise with her! 💙💖

Need to quickly outline a novel before sitting down to write? Well look no further than my 4-step guide; the easiest, hardest outline method you’ll ever try! 🤓📐
1. Summarize. Write a summary of what you think your novel is going to be about, be brief and snappy, kind of like the description on the back of a hardback book.
Now that you have an idea what the story is about…
2. Pick the start & end points! Where does the story begin? Where does it end? This is NOT about *knowing* the end, but...

Yooooooo!! A lot of Persona soundtracks got dropped on Spotify earlier this month! Ultimax, FES, and even PQ1+2!? This is crazy! These albums have a LOT of good writing music in ‘em~ 🤩🎶
That being said, with titles fully in Japanese they’re a little hard to search for. So let me add a few links!
Persona 5 / Persona 4 / Persona 3 / Persona Q
PS: Now that these tracks are stream-able, I can share with you the track I listen to every time I finish a novel! This is my real-life victory theme~ 🎉

I don't care if this "revokes" my writer license
If you’re having trouble brainstorming / coming up with characters you have my permission to get inspiration by rolling on random RPG tables.
Actually, you don’t only have my permission, you also have my favorite spread:

1. Roll once on the Character Role table.
2. Roll once on the Character Goal table.
3. Then roll up to three times on the Character Descriptor table, depending on how complex/important the character is.
There you go. Now that you have a starting point, start fleshing them out!
PS: Thi...

Someone was wondering how I brainstormed a novel so here’s a simple breakdown of how I spend my time!
You may think I’m kidding, but this is pretty much it. I do most of the hard work, the actual brainstorming, while doing the dishes or going for walks. 🧠💭
