OLEXI: My Indie Imprint
At first, he wasn’t sure what kind of animal it might be, but Tupper liked watching as Freydolf added reticulated lines until the tiny animal looked shaggy and real. Then, he switched his attention to the creatures head, teasing away unneeded flakes of stone until a muzzle poked out, sloping up to a broad brow adorned with a pair of curving horns.
As Freydolf used a shiv to give them texture, Tupper glanced warily at the sculptor’s face; his people were sometimes picked on for their passing...

COVER REVEAL: Through the Notches
Jovan studied the blue line that zigzagged west. “I wonder if Grandfather had you in mind when he sketched this route across the map.”
At the heart of Liberty, towns were few and far between. Wide green land, low rolling hills, and a maze of hidden valleys—they marked the eastern boundary of a place where strange things had a way of happening. Magic thrived. Mythical beasts roamed free. No one had ever dared to map all of its mysteries. Not even the rangers who kept peace throughout the land...
BYWAYS: Personal Touch
Ink on Paper. As the stack of Byways print editions grows, it’s been exciting to make one of my earliest visions for the series come true. When you get an author-signed copy, they come with these personal touches…

SCHOOL VISIT: Writers in Wonderland
Local Author. This past weekend, I took part in a special event at Barnard Elementary here in San Diego. A raffle with wonderful books as prizes. Booths for creating poetry, flash fiction, and comics. And of course, local authors like me, who were ready to answer questions about being writers. I was so happy to have print editions of...

ART: Prologue [Galleries of Stone]
“That man’s branch is severed from our tree. His star is fallen from our sky. His name is cast into the sea. May the depths take him.” Silence hung heavy in the house as the clan leader cursed his own son. “May his blood spill, may his bones break, may flames consume him. He is an enemy of this house. Should he trespass upon this clan’s holdings, my own dagger will spill his entrails, my own hands will wring the breath from his lungs. That man will meet his end.”
