TCAF: Toronto Comic Arts Festival

I will be in Toronto for the Toronto Comics Art Festival (TCAF)    on May 9 - 10 at the Toronto Reference Library on 789 Yonge Street. I will be selling comics, cards, prints and tshirts alongside my buddy Justin Hall  of Hard to Swallow/True Travel Tales fame, who also did a story in SHIRTLIFTER #3.

There’s many events happening as part of the festival, but the one that I am taking part in is a Queer Cartoonists Reading that is taking place on Saturday May 9 at 7:00 PM. The venue is bart called

Seattle Erotic Art Festival

I was selected to be part of this year’s Seattle Erotic Art Festival, running May 1 - 3 at the Seattle Exhibition Center. Two pieces were selected as part of the exhibition, including the image you see here (the other is too explicit to put up on this blog).

Recent Reviews

Brian Cronin has a review of SHIRTLIFTERs #2 and #3 up over at the Comics Should Be Good blog, kicking off their “A Month of Self-Published Comics” feature. He’s very, very positive about #2, and very, very ambivalent about #3. He’s not the first person to have that response, though I also know people who think #3 is the strongest thing I’ve done. At least I know that they’re different from each other and #3 isn’t just more of the same.

This is a new card/print I’ll have available at the Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair that is taking place in West Hollywood Park this weekend (march 28 - 29th).  The image is from a story that I was doing for an anthology and then killed because while I was happy with the drawing, the writing wasn’t going anywhere. UPCOMING: TOF Erotic Art Fair

I will be exhibiting at the 14th Annual Tom of Finland Foundation Erotic Art Fair next weekend, March 28 - 29th. This is my 4th year appearing at the festival, and this year I will be appearing on a panel discussion focusing on gay erotic comics. The panel is on Saturday afternoon, I think starting around 2:00 PM or so. More details and information about the ToF Foundation Web Site.

Larger Than Life 01

Not so much posting recently. I AM working on new stuff. This is an illustration in progress for a piece I’m creating for an upcoming anthology called “I Like It Like That.”  I’ll be putting up a few more images from the story over the next couple of weeks.
