Men of Tallav’s Universe
Tallav is one of hundreds of federated planets that occupy a portion of the Milky Way galaxy where planets capable of sustaining human life are most likely to be found. Initially, colonies were established by independent groups on those planets closest to Earth. These early colonies depended on Earth until they achieved stable agricultural, industrial, economic, political, and social systems.

Shane: Marshal of Tallav Coming May 31, 2016
I’m excited beyond all measure. Loose Id purchased Shane: Marshal of Tallav. I’ve been working with Kierstin Cherry, a senior editor at Loose Id, to make the book the best read possible. It’s daunting to get your manuscript back with markup all over it pointing out anything that doesn’t make sense to the editor. But it’s also a relief to know that my book has the focused attention of multiple editors. Nitpickers shouldn’t find much to criticize unless they don’t like the characters or the stor...

Revise and Resubmit: Latest News on Shane
The publisher I submitted Shane to in January has requested some revisions after which they want me to resubmit the book. One step closer. I’m currently working on those revisions, although it’s taken a little time to figure out how to work in the changes requested. I’m in the flow now, and I hope to have the revisions finished in the next couple of weeks. After that I’ll do a reread and then resubmit.
Meanwhile, here’s a little taste of our heroine, Adrianna. Her first scene in Shane: Tallav...

What About Maon
“there’s not a ton here to critique.” Thus sayeth my developmental editor, Lea Ann Schafer, in her second look at Maon. Music to my ears. Yes, she has some refinements to suggest, which I intend to hop on in the very near future, but she really likes the book.
She also says, “I really like the ending and how everything came together, first for the investigation and then with so much satisfaction for their relationship.”
Maon is my favorite character in the Tallavan series. Alpha with a dose o...

There’s Nothing Like a Good Editor
If you’ve read any of the novel excerpts I’ve postedin the past, you’ll understand why there’s nothing like a good editor. I’ve been working with the delightful Lea Ann Schafer. She’s taught me a great deal about writing a good romance novel (not to mention certain grammar and punctuation foibles I didn’t know I made.)
After one major revision and a second revision to get down to the word level, as she puts it, I have Shane ready to submit for publication. Yes, this makes me nervous, but I fe...

Shane Cover Reveal
Shane is in the hands of my beta readers, and the cover is finished. Hooray. If all goes well, Shane should be available at Amazon sometime in April.
I spent quite a bit of time looking for Shane in all the image sites, but just couldn’t find him. Following a writing link, I ended up at Ebook Indie Covers. There in Melody’s premade covers, I found Shane.
Gorgeous isn’t he? It’s easy to see why he’s so irresistible to Adrianna.
Melody is working with me on Maon’s cover and will probably do some w...

Werewolf Marine
I just downloaded a free book for my Kindle. Laura’s Wolf – Werewolf Marines. #1
I love it. The idea. I haven’t even read the description yet, but the concept of a marine who is also a werewolf is lip smacking good.
If Lia Silver writes well, this may be a winner. It’s the first in a series. Be still my heart.
Find it at Amazon, free (don’t know how long).

Beginnings – a mini story for Valentine’s Day
Beginnings
by Cailin Briste
Her usual small table in the corner had been taken, so she’d had to sit in a booth near the register. The early evening buzz was a little louder and busier than usual, but then it was Valentine’s Day. Not that Sammy’s was a hot spot for young couples on a hot date. No, romance was in the air, but it was more of the we’ve-been-married-twenty-years variety. Middle-aged couples were taking time out of their busy work and family schedules. Older couples were treating the...
