Adrianna’s First Tallavan St. Patrick’s Day

[image error]Adrianna, thanks for stopping by the blog. Shane: Marshal of Tallav readers want to know what your first St. Patrick’s Day on Tallav was like. Tallavans have taken on Irish customs from the very beginning of the planet’s settlement. What kinds of things do they do to celebrate?

Adrianna: It amazes me that no matter where you go in the Federation, you’ll find people who claim Irish ancestry and lots of folks who don’t that love to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Tallav takes the day very seriousl...

The first book I ever wrote was written with nothing more than a rough idea in my mind about where it was headed. A writer who works in such a way is called a pantser. My story was character driven. The more I wrote, the more...

Exquisite Carved Jewelry – Fashion Maven of the Future

[image error] [image error]

Forward looking fashionistas,

The Fashion Maven of the Future has been busy, busy, busy. So many runway shows to attend and describe, but I was sidetracked. The here and now is so important, but the past, my dears, the past is a treasure trove of design inspiration.

I have a secret that you darlings are the first to read. The Fashion Maven loves jewelry. All kinds. Costume extravagance to pieces dripping in diamonds. Well, it’s not that big a secret.

The Accessories & Odd Bits – Selina Hous...

Guilty Pleasure – Who Says?

I do not feel guilty about the huge stash of chocolate under my desk. I do not feel guilty for getting a massage once a week. I do not feel guilty for eating the last piece of pie, brownie, etc. I do not feel guilty for sleeping in late…every day of the week. I do not feel guilty for buying more books than I can possibly read in five years.

No one is hurt by these things. Not even me. Why then feel guilty? To be good, upright, moral people must we never indulge ourselves? I don’t think so....

Sci-fi Romance Lovers at Postwaves

[image error]I’ve started a Sci-fi Romance group at Postwaves. (What is Postwaves?)

I’ve populated it with a few posts, but any member can add posts. I will be asking the Postwaves people to add several websites as auto post. The point of the group is to spread the love of sci-fi romance.

Description: For those who read, write, publish, and love science fiction romance. Let’s go beyond the promotional blitz to what moves us to read and write this genre of romance fiction. Our community helps filter throug...

Valentino 2017 – Fashion Maven of the Future

My[image error] dears, the colors were exquisite. I was near to tears over the vibrant yellow of one dress. It was nearly impossible to select just a few items to represent such a beautiful collection, but then this is Valentino.

For Fall 2017 Valentino dazzled us with dresses that drape the female body to perfection. And the coats. Oh my, the coats. Yes, there were solid colors where again the palette was transcendent. Do note the footwear of the model wearing the pale gold coat. How fun! But for me the...

How to Select an MPNTLP Title Without HCs

My checklist for creating book titles:

Memorable Pertinent Not too long Pronounceable No hidden connotations

I’d like to say I used this checklist when I determined the title of my first book. Instead I went with my own favorite type of title. The book is a romance. It’s about a man. The man has a name. The title of the book is the man’s name. Yeah, I like books named after the main male character especially those that are part of a series. My developmental editor doesn’t like book titles t...
