iPainting The Gutenberg Press

Had it not been for the "Gutenberg Press" of Johannes Gutenberg, we would not have the Gutenberg Bible, or most of the books printed for centuries following. This iPainting sketch, is our tribute to Him and it.

Jesus, Shakespeare, and Mustard

Black, white, and brown are all colors of various seeds of mustard plants. These can be mixed with water, vinegar, or other liquds to make what we know as mustard.

It’s ironically also connected with Shakespeare. For years, what we know as a mustard seed, was referred to as eye of newt. Ever since William wrote MacBeth, we’ve associated it with witchcraft.

Ironically, just as people believe in witchcraft, they’ve placed their faith in the wrong things. Mistaken thoughts, rooted in doubt, fear, and misconception have clouded men’s judgement.

Perhaps, as He knows the end from the beginning, this was why The Lord Jesus chose to use this little seed to illustrate faith. What you believe in, will produce results within you.

Believe in God’s power and mercy, and your faith will not only move mountains, it will grow up tall and strong. Put your faith in your fears, and your life will become a twisted, gnarled reflection of your worst nightmares.

If you believe in Jesus though, then you believe that He came into the darkness to expose it to The Light. Jesus said, He came so none should perish.

Regardless of age, circumstance, consequence, past decisions, or even current stench, Christ has the power to forgive, free, and cause to flourish all those who believe in Him.

I once knew a man who gave his life to Jesus at 70, and spent the next twenty years living for Jesus. It’s never too late!

In addition, the past is never louder than the voice of Jesus. When the enemy, or your flesh brings up all the faults of the past, and they will, Jesus still said, I forgive, and I don’t change.

So plant a seed that is color blind, and unlimited today. Let The Lord Jesus expand your faith, walk into your fear, and sprout something new in your heart today.
