iPainting The Sea Wolf Thomas Cochrane

He was the tenth Earl of Dundonald, as well as the Marquis of Maranhao, but it was Napoleon who gave the British navel officer the nickname The Sea Wolf. The Scottish born sea hero had victories fighting for England, Chile, Peru, and Brazil. He was truly a legendary figure, and one that helped fight for freedom for thousands across the globe.
iPainting The Fox Alert

If you know us, you know the Fox has in many ways become our mascot. It’s a long story, but I know this. The Fox is alert every morning. He can’t afford not to be, we must seize our opportunities when presented.

iPainting Retrospective

The older we get, we become more retrospective. The importance of this, is not to drive us inward. Instead it should drive us to share the lessons we have learned with those in our sphere of influence.
This shouldn’t be in the form of a lecture, but through friendships, conversations, and opportunities. Good advice delivered incorrectly is ineffective. Good advice correctly presented, can be a lifesaver to the receiver and the giver.

iPainting Wolfgang Puck

I just watched the Disney Plus Wolfgang Puck documentary. I have watched Wolfgang Puck for years, especially relating to feeding Hollywood. What is interesting is the challenges he overcame to become a famous Chef. His childhood struggles reminds me that we must choose our words to our children with precision. One wrong phrase we might forget, but it could stick with your child all their lives.
Sketch Churchill In Paris

The life of Winston Churchill fascinates me. It was not only his public life, but his retirement. From politics to painting, he struck an interesting pose.

Sketch Jeff Bridges

A companion piece to the picture today. Here is a ink sketch of Jeff Bridges with a Micron 0.3 pen. While I really like my fountain pen, I’m very fond of my Micron as well.
iPainting Jeff Bridges

Some families continue in the same craft for generations, this is true of Jeff Bridges. I remember watching his Father Lloyd and brother Beau growing up. It reminds me that some passions are so strong, they carry over from generation to generation.
I’m no actor, and though I have hobbies, that’s not the passion that I want to pass on to my son. The passion that I pray he inherits is that he loves God, loves his family, and loves serving others. To me, Nicholas following in those footsteps is greater than well, an academy award.
