BS in Electrical Engineering

Spent the 1980s in NASA/DoD projects. Did a lot of interesting things and went interesting places. Won't bore you about them. Spent the 1990s in a wide variety of activities including neurological research engineering support, Web portal and network security design.
Software contracting, network support in the 2000s. Finally got serious about writing a couple of years ago and to pursue it full time.

Currently, I play bass guitar (badly), computer gaming, travel, and play Igor in the kitchen, doing the bidding of my own little Queen of Darkness (which makes more sense if you read my books ;) ). ...more

I…moreI don't usually get "block" so much as I find it's a mistake to "take a few days off' from writing - coming back to a blank page can be challenging. If I don't get an epiphany while doing something completely different (playing bass guitar, yardwork, gaming, etc) I'll just start writing about the characters doing something mundane - that usually ignites the story telling.(less)

I love chatting with the models who grace the covers of my books (one is Polish, the other Moldovan). I've make some very interesting "degrees of separation" connections with rock groups, authors, artists, craftspeople. I also just like telling stories. I realized recently that some of my descriptive style derives from my old D&D days of dungeonmastering. Describing the scene to the players, creating the atmosphere, immersion.(less)

I have basically been ignoring Goodreads...

Why?
Because after several book giveaways and a fair amount of energy - I'm not getting the feedback that I need to show it isn't a waste of time.

I'll give Goodreads another shot in the fall, but so far even post-throttling Facebook generates more fan interaction.

We'll see how it goes.
