Author Sarah Greyson
Today we have the honor of having a teaser and author info by Sarah Greyson.
Teaser:
“Guys wait here. Give Emma and I a minute alone please,” Michael requested, knowing how
anxious everyone was, knowing they only had a few precious minutes.
Michael led Emma into the living room by placing his hand on the small of her back. Just being
near her threw him off center. How could he function in a normal environment knowing how
she affected him? He led Emma to the other side of the room, away from the men and they
both looked out the window. Across the street the wind was battering some tangled wires and
cables.
Michael stood behind Emma wrapping his arms around her waist careful to avoid her injury.
“What is it,” he whispered into her ear.
She felt the familiar tingle down her spine at his breath in her ear. She pushed back, closer to
his chest. “Promise me something before you go . . .” she begged Michael.
“Anything,” he whispered inhaling her earthly scent.
“Promise me that . . .” Emma stared at her feet. How could she tell Michael everything she felt
for him? There weren’t words to explain what she was feeling, and she had an extensive
vocabulary. She didn’t even know how to put words to her feelings, because she never
bothered to name them or recognize them before. Words written by Gustave Flaubert from his
novel titled Madame Bovary came to her mind, “. . . human speech is like a cracked kettle on
which we tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt
the stars.” The quote precisely summed up her feelings for Michael. She had no way to express
them.
“What is it? You are starting to worry me,” he whispered against her neck.
Gathering her courage and her assertiveness, she asked, “Promise that you will come back to
me.” Michael exhaled the breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “Emma, that is one promise I will
gladly make.”
“But you have to keep it, Michael,” she said, fighting back the teardrops. If she looked at him now, she
would lose it. He turned her around and met her glistening eyes. She saw the emotions reflected back to
her. Tears streamed down her check, and he thumbed them away.

Guest Author Judith White
A Method to Madness is on sale from the 7-14 for Kindle for .99 cents.
It’s January 1943 and things are slow for Sam Flanagan, Detroit private detective. He’s about to call it a day and return to the woman he shares a home with; his eighty two year old grandmother, when in walks Chicago socialite Phyllis Killburn. She’s the daughter of the late tire tycoon, Alden Whitaker, and she’s got troubles. It seems her husband may be stepping out on her with another woman and he’s keeping a big secret as to his involvement with the military. She wants to know what’s going on and she’s willing to pay big bucks for the information. Sam travels to the Windy City and looks up his longtime friend, Harry Blevins, journalist for the Chicago Tribune. With Harry’s assistance, and with the inadvertent ramblings of his grandmother, will Sam be able to put all the pieces together to solve what is happening within the walls of the Whitaker Estate to stop a murder plot? The deeper Sam digs into the case, he uncovers more twists. Does Sam find a method to this madness?
Baker’s Keyboard Lounge, Detroit’s hotspot for jazz—it’s there that Sam runs into his childhood friend, Johnny Delbeck, and Johnny’s got a problem. A little over three months ago, Johnny and his wife, Grace, took in her niece. Myrna Lou Stevic had been nothing but trouble for her mother, Grace’s sister, and her step father. Grace thinks she can turn the girl’s behavior around by getting her into a new school and getting her involved in the church youth group. One Monday in April, the seventeen year old was sitting on the porch of the Delbeck’s Dearborn home one minute, and in the next, she was gone. Did she just walk away on her own—something she’s done in the past—or did something more sinister occur? This is what Johnny hires Sam to find out. Five days before Easter 1943, Sam tries to ensure her presence for the holiday. But when he starts asking questions, the picture others paint of this girl isn’t pretty, and it’s obvious there are few who really like her. The Detroit private detective wants to solve Johnny’s problem—and he wants the ending to be a good one. Can he find the girl and return her to the home in Dearborn, safe and sound?
She waltzed into his office on a hot Saturday in July. She wanted Sam to exonerate her husband of the charge of murder. But the murders occurred over nineteen years ago…and that wasn’t the worst of it! It happens that her husband was Carlo ‘the Confessor’ Andolucci, the once notorious Purple Gang member. Sam knew this name all too well…Carlo Andolucci had brought devastation to the Flanagan family. There was no way he’d take on this case to help this woman…or would he? Once he discusses the matter with others, he begins to hear a side of Andolucci he didn’t know. Had Sam held on to a belief that was wrong all these years? Only by rethinking his decision to take on this case will answer that.
Coming out soon….

Soon afterwards a new, disturbing type of cyber attack emerges, just as Nick learns that an imminent massive Chinese cyber attack against the United States infrastructure might be imminent. When the evidence suggests that the threat is real and that the attack will kill millions of people, Nick discovers that his team will not have enough time or the technical resources to stop the incredibly advanced attack when it comes.
Nick soon learns of another top-secret project, however, one which might offer a way to stop the attack and spare the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
Dr. Henry Summers works with his scientist daughter, Kate, inside Area 51 at Groom Lake, Nevada. After years of trying to reverse-engineer an alien spacecraft, the team has a breakthrough when they discover how to interface with an alien ship’s computer, by using a cybernetic helmet to enter a fantastic, virtual world.

Some Plot Elements & Facts Related to Frontiers:
• In Frontiers, scientists build humanity’s first spacecraft capable of interstellar flight, which a craft that can travel faster than the speed of light
o Fact: While Einstein’s theory of relativity suggested Faster than Light travel (FTL) is not possible, many theories have been put forth as to how we might get around this galactic speed limit. Just think warp drive or wormholes.
• In Frontiers, the development of the interstellar spacecraft also results in the creation of an alternative energy source, helping to stave off a rapidly dwindling world supply of crude oil.
o Fact: HSBC estimates the world will run out of crude oil with 40-50 years.
• In Frontiers, several principal characters discuss how critical it is that the advanced technology be unveiled carefully and methodically to the world, or else the world could suffer catastrophic consequences.
o Fact: The Drake Equation, as it has become known, which was first presented by Drake in 1961, is a probabilistic argument used to estimate the number of active, communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy. Drake’s equation takes into account that a number of such civilizations will end up destroying themselves with their own technology.
• In Frontiers, a public announcement confirming the existence of sentient alien life causes quite a stir among some segments of the world’s population.
o Fact: Studies like one by Paolo Musso, a member of the SETI Permanent Study Group of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and the Pontifical Academy of Sciences studies, and others, see no conflict between Christianity and the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence.
Thank you so much for allowing me to discuss Frontiers with your readers!

The Bondage Club by Alexandrea Weis Cover Reveal & more
A Teaser from The Bondage Club
By Alexandrea Weis
The veil of evening was reaching across his office window when Hunter’s cell phone on the side of his desk rang. Checking the caller ID, he frowned when he saw that the number was blocked.
“This is Hunter Donovan,” he barked into the phone.
“Do you always answer the phone in such a cheerful manner?” a seductive female voice reprimanded.
“That depends on who this is.”
“Cary told me of your little meeting today, and your interest in my next book. You don’t waste any time do you?”
Hunter’s heart skipped a beat. “Well, well, Ms. Slut. Nice to hear your voice again. I hope your time at the Book Expo was worthwhile.”
“You were the highlight of my trip, Mr. Donovan.”
Hunter smiled as he sat back in his creaky desk chair. “I’m so glad. I was beginning to think you didn’t like me.”
“Have you ever met a woman who didn’t like you?”
The question made Hunter chuckle. “Which answer will get me your next book, Ms. Slut?”
A high-pitched tinkling laugh came through the speaker of his iPhone, making Hunter’s stomach flutter ever so lightly. “I like a man who doesn’t waste time with sweet talk. Check your email. I just sent you the manuscript. It’s called The Bondage Club, and if you’re interested, e-mail me a contract, and I will look it over.”
“Can I ask what it’s about? I mean, with a title like that I can guess, but….” His voice faded as his curiosity rose.
“There are many different kinds of bondage, Mr. Donovan, that don’t involve ropes, chains, or even handcuffs.”
Hunter gaped at his cell phone. “I don’t get it.”
“Love can be a form of bondage,” she explained. “We can get tied to someone just as easily as we can be tied up by someone. The book is about bondage in all of its forms.”
“Then I look forward to reading it.” He paused as he thought of an idea. “But why not come to my office? We can discuss the details of the contract over lunch,” he pursued with a hint of insistence in his voice.
“I don’t think so. Lunch with you would be dangerous.”
Hunter coyly smiled. “For which one of us, Ms. Slut?”
“I’m not your type, Mr. Donovan.”
Hunter’s body rippled with the hint of a challenge. “You never know; if Donovan Books handles your novel, we may grow on each other.”
“I hope not. Getting involved with the man who publishes my book would complicate matters. I’m also a very demanding author. I might get on your nerves after a time.”
“I have a lot of demanding authors. You would fit right in.”
“Do you usually try and date your authors, or will I be the first?”
He fingered a corner of the manuscript open on the desk before him as his imagination began to wander. “You would be the first. I never date clients.”
“I heard a nasty little rumor to the contrary, about your brother and Monique Delome. They were engaged and then she up and married some Texas oil man. Lucky girl.”
“Lucky to be rid of my brother,” Hunter returned, pushing the manuscript in front of him to the side.
“Oh, do I detect a note of sibling rivalry, Mr. Donovan?”
He leaned back in his chair and turned his eyes to his arched window. “Rivalry, nah. More like deep-seated hatred. And if I’m going to bare my soul to you, you should start calling me, Hunter.”
“Let me guess, Hunter.” Her voice was throaty and delicious, spurring on his desire. “He stole your Legos when you were six and you have never forgiven him.”
Hunter ran his hand over his face, feeling the conversation was getting a little too personal. “Never mind my brother. Let’s talk about you.”
“I make it a practice never to talk about myself. The less people know about me, the better.”
“I don’t agree, Ms. Sl….” Hunter crinkled his brow. “What else can I call you? Ms. Slut is too—”
“Call me Smuttie, if you like.”
“Smuttie…don’t you have a real name?”
“Smuttie is all you need to know.” The sound of voices in the background broke in. “Let me know what you think of my manuscript, Hunter. I’ll be waiting to hear from you.” Then the line went dead.

Feature, Giveaway & Interview w/ author Zara Keane

Giveaway and Book feature are below the interview.
Interview questions from Babs Book Bistro
Babs….When did you know you wanted to write?
I knew I wanted to write stories from the time I could hold a crayon, but I didn’t start writing romance until university. For a long while, I was Queen of the First Three Chapters—great at starting new writing projects and even better at abandoning them.
That changed during NaNoWriMo in 2009. By the end of the month, I had a 65,000-word rough manuscript with a beginning, a middle, and—most crucially—an end. Once I finished that story, it all sort of fell into place. I developed a writing routine, stuck to it, and wrote like crazy for the next few years.
Babs…..What would you like your readers to get out of your books?
Ideally, I’d like my readers to have a laugh and enjoy a few hours in Ireland. ☺ While Ballybeg is fictitious, it’s based on the towns of Cobh, Kinsale, and Clonakilty in County Cork. All other places I send my characters to are real — Cork City, Doolin, the Burren, Lisdoonvarna, and so on. Ireland and the Irish are steeped in a unique history and culture and I use these aspects to flavor my stories.
Babs…..Do you have a current project in the works?
Yes! I’m writing a series of romances set in a fictitious Irish town named Ballybeg. Love and Shenanigans is the first story in the series. I’m currently working on the second draft of Love and Leprechauns, the second full-length Ballybeg novel. I’m also tidying up Love and Blarney, a Ballybeg novella.
Babs…..Do you have a ritual when you are writing? ie coffee, music, food etc
I tend to start each writing session with a cup of coffee. Once I’ve activated Freedom to block out the internet and social media distractions, I fire up Scrivener and get to work.
As I have three small kids, my writing time is squeezed in around their needs, so I have to make the most of my writing sessions.
Babs…..Hobbies outside of writing?
I’m a self-confessed board game geek. I own a ridiculous number of games, especially ones of strategy. I also love learning foreign languages and visiting new countries. Although I was born and grew up in Ireland, I’ve moved a few times since leaving university. I’m currently based in Switzerland.
Babs….What book or books are you currently reading?
I usually juggle an e-book and an audiobook. Here’s what I’m reading at the moment:
E-book: ‘When We Met’ by Susan Mallery
Audiobook: ‘The Son’ by Jo Nesbo
Babs….If you could be one character from one of your books who would it be?
Fiona from Love and Shenanigans is probably the heroine most like me, so it’s a toss up between Olivia from Love and Leprechauns and Clio from the as-yet-untitled Ballybeg Book 4. I admire Olivia’s dry wit and tendency to say exactly what she thinks. In Clio’s case, I’d only like to be her for a day. She’s a grifter with a sense of adventure and a scant regard for rules. It might be fun to be in her shoes for a little while.
Babs…Favorite drink?
Caipirinha.
Babs…..What is your favorite ice cream?
Chocolate.
Babs….What is your favorite food?
Anything with rice.
Babs…Anything else you would like to add? ( links to any blogs/sites to follow etc)
I love to tweet! If you’d like to follow me on Twitter, I’m @zara_keane.
For more information on my books, please check out my website: http://zarakeane.com
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions and being a guest on the blog.
Thanks so much for having me!
Bio: Zara Keane grew up in Dublin, Ireland, but spent her summers in a small town very similar to the fictitious Ballybeg.
She currently lives in Switzerland with her family. When she’s not writing or wrestling small people, she drinks far too much coffee, and tries – with occasional success – to resist the siren call of Swiss chocolate.

Three days before leaving Ireland on the adventure of a lifetime, Fiona Byrne returns to her small Irish hometown to attend the family wedding from hell. When she discovers the drunken vows she exchanged with the groom during a wild Las Vegas trip eight years previously mean they’re legally married, her future plans ricochet out of control. Can she untangle herself from the man who broke her heart so long ago? Does she even want to?
…True Love in Ballybeg.
Gavin Maguire’s life is low on drama, high on stability, and free of pets. But Gavin hadn’t reckoned on Fiona blasting back into his life and crashing his wedding. In the space of twenty-four hours, he loses a fiancée and a job, and gains a wife and a labradoodle. Can he salvage his bland-but-stable life? More importantly, can he resist losing his heart to Fiona all over again?
