Cat Lady Confidential published a post sharing the profiles of seven different authors who have a cat (or multiple cats!) I enjoyed participating in this post and in “meeting” the other authors who shared stories of their lives with cats!

Authors and cats have always shared a special bond. Canadian author Robertson Davies once wrote, “Authors like cats because they are such quiet, loveable, wise creatures, and cats like authors for the same reasons.”
I don’t know if that’s the reason why so many authors love cats, but the truth is that there is a long history of the love authors have for their cats. So, today I’m very excited to bring you this roundup post, where several contemporary authors share their love for cats.

I am reading a new (to me) James Patterson, Unsolved. The great thing about James Patterson is there is always a new one out! Unsolved is the second in the Invisible series. Emmy Dockery is looking for a serial killer, but no one will even believe that the victims have been murdered. They think that she’s gone off the rails.
Good suspense, lots of twists and turns and fun characters. Patterson weaves a great story!
A man in a wheelchair is in the middle of the lot. He bends over at the waist, reaches down to the pavement, and struggles to pick up several items that have spilled out of a plastic grocery bag.

—A phenomenal read! The story line is both exasperating and inspiring. Is it a conspiracy or crazy thoughts? You have to read to the end to know for sure.
—I thoroughly enjoyed Mito. I didn’t want to put any it down.
—The incipient relationship between Gabriel and Renata, both in awful situations, was fascinating and I was intrigued by the very original theme of the book. I hope it really is a work of fiction!
—The plot was FANTASTIC. I’ve read a lot of stories about foster children, but never anything quite like what happens in Mito. I never even realized that medical kidnap could very well be a thing happening “behind the scenes” in foster care, but after reading this book my mind is blown.
