Self published authors
Self published authors often get a bad press but I’ve found this is often due to bad or non-existent editing. I do my best. I proof read until my eyes are sore and then I ask some very good friends to do the same for me before I take the book to publication. However, I am the first to hold my hand up and confess that my work may not be as ‘polished’ as it might have been had it been published by a large and well funded publishing house with a team of professional editorial staff employed to sift through every semi-colon and double word typo.
I don’t price my books to compete with the big players. If the term, ‘you get what you pay for,’ is true, then I hope my readers will appreciate that they are not paying for a professionally edited novel, but I hope they will realise that they are getting a great deal and a good read for a very small price.

Amazon have not yet applied the discount and it seems they think they have!

Latest book Discounted
I recently released 'They Take our children, Book one, the truth revealed.' This is a science fiction story, but before the anti sci-fi readers turn away, switch off or navigate to another page, I need to tell you that my sci-fi stories are based on real people living ordinary lives in extraordinary circumstances.
The family in, 'They take our children,' could be your neighbours. You could almost think that, 'there for the Grace of God' the story could be happening to your own family.
Even if you don't believe in alien abduction and other worlds, the story will engage you and lift you into a different dimension of fear and intrigue, of love and hope.
With book two already half completed, I decided to offer a discounted version of Book one for a limited time only. So from 4th December until the 8th of December this will be available on Amazon's countdown deals. Buy it for $0.99 for the first two days, or $1.99 for the following 2 days before it reverts back to the normal selling price of $2.99. I believe the scheduled start time is 8am US time and around 1pm UK, but as Amazon are currently dealing with lots of these deals, the start and end times could vary.
I hope you take advantage of the offer, but more importantly, I hope you enjoy reading 'They take our children,' and so will look forward to the sequel.
As always, your comments are important to me. Good or bad, I really would like your opinion on my work.
Until next time, happy reading......

Feedback welcomed
I have recently dipped my toe into the big and scary world of publishing, and feel that I am at the beginning of an exciting but daunting journey. If you would like to join me on this roller coaster ride, and have read my work, I would really appreciate some feedback.
Without readers, I wouldn't have an audience. I would still write because it is in my blood, but I would feel like a ballerina dancing on the stage in an empty theatre.
