I haven’t posted anything for a while because I’m busy writing the follow on book to Evelyn’s Fight. I’ve almost completed the story, but will have the editing and formatting to organise and of course the blurb and the all important cover design.

It’s hard work being a self published author, but worth every minute to receive great feedback from my readers. Thank you to all of you who take the time to leave reviews. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and kind comments.

Sequel to Evelyn's Fight

As quite a few of my readers have asked what happens to Evelyn next, I thought I'd write a sequel to Evelyn's Fight.

I'll be taking Gladys as the main character, as she has an interesting story to tell, and is close enough to Evelyn to include her continuing story too.

Feeling good

I’ve just returned from a wonderful vacation. I thoroughly enjoyed a cruise in the Mediterranean with my husband. Now, I’m feeling rested and restored and almost ready to start the new book. I just have the normal chores to get out of the way first. A mountain of laundry, dust I can write my name in and food cupboards with bare shelves – which is just as well as I need to diet after two weeks of lazing around and eating some wonderful meals.

A question for my American friends

Happy Easter Sunday

Here is a question for my American friends. I’d be really interested to hear your opinions.

I’m English and I write my books using the English I was taught at my school in England.

Would this be a game changer for you? Does English spelling and vernacular put you off reading a book by an English author? Would you prefer a special edition edited for the American audience?

I ask because I recently read a review on my latest work on the Amazon.com site that warned fellow Americans that the book uses English spelling.

So, on a scale of one to ten, how likely are you to stop reading when you realise (realize) the spelling is English?
