The Media Shall Lose It All, If They Don’t See The Sanity
Santosh Jha
It is definitely a tough ask… Defining ‘Sanity’, in contemporary culture of ‘unbridled possibilities’, is somehow a stupid’s call. Still, it can be safely said that if sanity is at peril at any place globally, especially in India, it is the popular culture and then the media, which consumes the populism in maximum.
One cannot do much about the ‘troubled sanity’ of culture, as changes here can only be slow and cyclic; as the agenda is highly ideational. However, the sanity issue with media needs to be taken up fast and sure. Media is institutional and that is why, its troubles are identifiable and solutions very specific.
In its zeal and overdrive to so-called investigative media and populist press, the larger section of media, especially visual media has become stupidly invasive and intrusive; somehow personally judgmental. The sanity is in for a toss and more dangerously, the average journalist, especially top bosses, have started to love this ‘killer-instinct’.
Change is the buzzword; not only in India but globally. The socio-cultural domains as well as economic-political spheres are admitting the need to change and they are actually changing for better, though slowly. It is only the media, which in its narcissistic attitude and preposterously presumptuous righteousness, is failing hugely to accept the call of sanity to change.
The media, otherwise in disarray, happens to be highly organized in their common obduracy to trash all appeals to change, is already proving the biggest stupid in the race. People, especially, those in urban areas, young and educated have already sensed the stupidity of media to avoid all calls of sanity.
Better it is for the media to listen and smart up, or accept the inevitable of losing relevance and utility. Already, the personal and social media has made them only a poor baggage. If they cannot see the sanity, they are bound to lose it all…!

Words Fail You When You Need Them Most
Intimacy and emotional oneness with someone is toughest in relationships when it suddenly comes up as a ‘need’ and the required linkages and past precedents, to make it happen, is missing for years.
When life occasions the larger and real utility of words, their futility is the first realization. But, it is too late then. People seldom practice communication and expressions beyond the convenience of words in daily life. Words make good business; however has little utility, as carriers of deep and true emotions. Somehow, people are always happy with business of life and care a little about good utility and value of life.
Such is the cosmic construction that what one seeks desperately is what one usually gets. The nature meets him or her in a similar facilitative and catalytic consciousness. The subject’s disposition and conscious positioning creates a ‘gravitational pull’, which draws synchronous and symmetrical elements of cosmos for facilitation.
However, by the time attainments and endowments happen; there usually being a time lag; the subject’s disposition & consciousness shifts to different plane. Usually, what initiates desire as expression of utility of attainment, ends up as futility, when endowment attains finality.
This conflict is cosmic construction. It authors all stories of different ‘protagonists’, ‘plots’, ‘preface’ and ‘progression’. People being theatres of the enactment of stories, are bound to have a false belief of ‘pride of possession’. However, life itself has the last story.

Not A Man’s Mess, Women Make Him ‘He’!
“You know, actually, it is never a man’s problem, what he should be like.
If you ask me, men are essentially a confused lot just because we women are never sure how they should be like.
How you would like your dad to be? What you expect your mom, your brother or for that matter, anyone in this world to be? The simple answer is; any person should be a good human being.
It is as simple as this. But women have bizarre benchmarks for their husbands. They want rich husbands, smart husbands, humorous husbands, presentable husbands, tall-dark-handsome husbands, witty, famous and flamboyant husbands and so on.
I think, all women just need simple and good husbands and my sweet duffer is just that. I do not expect him to be anyway different. He too does not want me anyway different. Just being affectionate and compassionate about each other in any relationship does wonders and this is also true with wife and husband. My duffer is very much this way. Why should I want him to be like what most women want their husbands to be!”
(Excerpts from Fiction: ‘Autobiography Of A Duffer’: It is Duffer’s Wife’s Defense for her Hubby!!)
Find The Free ebook At: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/...
(also at goodreads and scribd)
Synopsis of The Autobiography Of A Duffer:
A witty but insightful narration of ‘normal’ and ‘orderly’ cultural realisms of contemporary world, from the perspective of a young duffer. This duffer believes; a normal person should know how this world looks to a stupid, whom the world loves to label ‘abnormal’ and ‘disordered’, to truly visualize realities of benchmarking. This duffer’s wife asked him to make it different; he truly does it!

OnlyNess
Dumped by her billionaire fiancé, a resplendently beautiful woman, the reigning royalty of Hollywood’s dream factory, lands herself in all sorts of woes – hospitalization for slipping pill overdose, bad Press, peer group backstabbing and paparazzi. She escapes to anonymity at India's Yoga capital but the threat of paparazzi follows. A young yogi bails her out and detours her to an unusual world where he introduces her to the super consciousness of ‘Onlyness’ within her. The redeemed empress unconsciously discovers her true elements being in linearity with that of the yogi and believes, she may be second time lucky. However, more shocks await her.
The singularities of life have elemental eccentricities of happening and un-happening; almost as weird and randomized as love. The elements of one’s own life and that of the equally precarious milieus are both patterned as well as un-patterned. The juxtaposition of symmetrical possibilities amid the larger probabilistic asymmetry of arbitrary milieus engender such beautiful marvels of life-living experiences, which people can accept only in one way – the destiny! The true and lasting relationship can happen only between similar and generic elements. Destinies shape this way.
What destiny has in store for Melissa, the empress, who finds a yogi in her new and metamorphosed life, shall be decided not by factors outside in her near and far milieus, rather by what she finally accepts as something, which is her own internal positioning of consciousness. The moment, she accepts, love shall happen and destiny shall be signed in.

Between The Ubiquitous ‘Only’ & Elusive ‘Also’
Can things be as simple as that… or could it be an ever-complicating spiral….!
… yeah…! sounds so simple…. but looks so almost impossible to have it in your shirt pocket…
… usually, the best of minds are averse to speaking…. naturally….!!
What a mind attains is wisdom of unknowable… something, which cannot be known, but only be revealed…
That’s why; an initiative to make an ‘unknowable’ known, through the knowledge of words is such a dangerously futile exercise….
…. best of minds prefer it this way…. “…better carry blame than guilt…” …. If you speak… you are guilty of saying things not many would understand and this would spread more consternation than catharsis…!
…. if you don’t, you carry only the blame that he could but didn’t…, somehow non-violently and amicably preferable…!
…. some great minds sometimes say a few words, out of pure compassion ….. one such mind said, “… wisdom is just between two words : To Be Or Not To Be…”
Another great mind simplified it: “… the two words are (in hindi) – ‘hi’ and ‘bhi’…” The near translation in English is – ‘Only’ and ‘Also’….
… first word is individualistic and sparks off absolutism …. Second word is collective and hints at relativity…
….. from a person to society, from politics to economics, from consumption to spiritualism, from religion to law…. every single idea and matter that humanity can think of…. is a knowledge between the wisdom of the two words….
… This Is One Cardinal Idea That Segregates ‘Success’ From ‘Failures’ In Love And Intimacy…
…. it must remain self-explanatory…. best it is that it remains for individual revelation….!
….it is all about a ‘poise’…. every individual has to find it and apply it …. nobody else can help…!
… in pursuit of the finality, everyone is alone, better it is this way…

Designing SPECIFIC Joys In GENERIC Randomizations
As is the mystically randomized positioning of the eventualities of life, most good things happen in life, when we expect them the least. ‘Expecting’, does not seem fruitful option, especially in contemporary world of precarious and preposterous possibilities; though, no one can keep away from this instinctive urge.
Instead Of Landing Oneself In The ‘Reactive-Positioning’ Of ‘Expecting’, It Seems, A Better Situation Is To Be ‘Receptively’ Open To The Beautifully Metaphoric Synchronicities Of Life, Which Are Often Sandwiched Between The Randomized Eventualities Of Life.
Often, magic begins both ways – one, we plan for things to happen in a certain way and then enjoy its fruition, if it happens this way. Second, things happen, as they may and then we plan enjoyment and fruition into them….

He Wished His Free Will To Redefine Wildness…
Mayank was very indecisive. He was subtly enjoying his moments of indecisiveness as it extended him the pleasure of having open options. Inside in his heart, there was this desire to allow the state of affair to linger infinitely. However, he knew it was a desire completely against the benchmark of success and goodness.
He also understood it that what he wished was an improper proposition in the eyes of society. Even his parents would not appreciate his indecisiveness. He was pressed hard to take a decision and as early as possible. That certainly irritated him.
‘What’s the big issue if I just want to do nothing’, he asked to himself. ‘What’s the problem if the only thing I wish to do is to sleep with my girl for days and night, holding her tight to my chest, kissing her a thousand times, savoring her body and soul, till I dropped dead? Do I trouble anyone? Am I asking anyone to give me bread and butter? God has given me enough! Why can’t I be left alone to be what I wish to be? Why should I be what others want me to be?’
He knew he was completely consumed by love. His instinctive sense of redundance and futility had just found a refuge in her love. And how beautiful and meaningful this refuge was! He warned himself that love too is ephemeral, like all good things in this mortal life; especially this lovingly suffocating intensity of her love at this point of time was very short-lived and he should not waste a single moment of it.
He wished to go crazy in love, do all sorts of madness in love. Nothing short of mundane and perfunctory aawargi (recklessness) would satiate his soul. He wished his free will to redefine wildness...restructure all dispositions that societal sense of gentlemanliness required. He desired his free will to recreate the universe, replacing the gravitational force with the far more powerful and purposeful force of love and unfettered intimacies. He just wished to be the 12-year old he was; the happiest and most free stage of his life when he was acultured.
