Dreams Do Come True
One Friday morning in McDonald drive-thru, a young man worked behind the window, accepting payments from customers, said to me "That's the car that I want to buy," pointing to Audi A6 sedan in front of me. I responded "Believe in yourself and work hard so your dream will come true. You can buy it someday." Our short conversation went on; briefly, he became hopeful and said: "I will buy it eventually."
This conversation brought my memory back when I was dating a young man who pointed to BMW 5 series car while he was driving on the highway. "That's the car that I want to buy" and I believed in him. Years later he bought me a BMW car and not just that, he built my dream house in a quiet suburb neighborhood with a big yard which full of flowers. He took me to Europe (the countries in my youth I dreamed of visiting) several times. Who would fathom these could happen back then? He was just a scholarship student rented a tiny room with a tight budget. But, I believed in him and convinced him to believe in himself that his dream would come true. Not only that, I trust my life to share with his.
I don't say that things work smoothly, but persistence, patience, and hard work are paid off. Have dreams, belief in ourselves, work for it, and then dreams do come true.
