“Quiet. Wait ‘til I have you in the motorcar, then you may speak freely,” he told her, helping her into his vehicle.

“Do you even know how to drive?” she asked when he was at her side.

“I drive this motorcar the way you drive me mad—with precision and a punishing force.”

She gulped and took to holding her wobbling knees.

“Tell me now—you will not leave, will you? Once I have you in my home, you will not desert me?”

“Why would I? Unless you mean to massacre me.” She chuckled, and it was nervous sounding.

Probably because the butterflies dancing in her stomach had taken to other parts of her body.

“I mean to devour you, lick you in the basest places and dig my fingers into you. I think you can withstand it—my cherry girl is built for my onslaught.”

She sucked in a tight breath, her abdomen caving in with the action.

“What if I taste wretched and am unflattering on the tongue?”

He laughed, and it was unsettling how free he sounded over these vulgar things they were discussing. And why did she want more of this type of talk?

“Oh, little cherry, how you amuse me. Have you forgotten so soon I have already had your cream on my taste buds? It still lingers and drives me to distraction. I want that flavor coated on my cock.”

“Oh, almighty Jesus,” she whispered under her failing breath.

“Oh, yes, I shall have it, too. Before you sleep this night, you shall do exactly what I say.”

She gripped her knees harder. They were close to shaking—her hands were not much steadier.

“I shall not request your obedience—I shall earn it and demand it. In return, you shall have unending adoration flung at your feet as I worship your gorgeous body built for my hands to explore. I shall respect you, find every way possible to keep you happy, but you will be mine, and you will submit,” he said, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed hard.

His voice was hoarse, and his hands clung to the steering wheel. The pulse at his neck was visibly racing.

“When you say these things to me—do you expect me to respond?”

“Yes, but not with words. Those are unnecessary. I already know how you feel. I can taste it in the air surrounding me. I can hear it in your exaggerated breathing and in the grip on your legs. You are ready to drip at my command. And I can barely wait to give that order.” He turned to look at her, and she froze. “You may use words right now if you wish, though. So, say it . . .”

“Say what?”

“Say you are afraid of me. That you think me an unholy bastard. That you want to run right this instant and flee my wicked presence and salty tongue.” He turned his head back to the road, but she could still feel him watching her out of the side of his eye.

“If I said any of those things, would you believe them? And would it even matter? It is not as if you would take me back home,” she said.

The car jolted to a stop. He turned at the waist and braced her with his grip on her shoulders. “I will never take you against your will. Never. I am not about that. I want you to want this, too. I want your body vibrating with excitement and unadulterated bliss. I will find a way to get those reactions from you if it forces me to rip my bones out of my body. That is how committed I am to you.”

She dropped her gaze at his lap. She did not mean to. Her eyes just went there to his prominent bulge.

“Do you desire me that much?” She kept staring.

“I desire you more than a man should. You”—he swallowed hard—“will be my unending addiction I shall never break free from.”

About the Author

Chanse Lowell

Chanse Lowell grew up in the desert southwest and still lives there with her husband, children, and pet cactus. She’s addicted to three things—reading erotica, writing erotica and sandwiches with a side of erotica to aid with digestion. She grew up watching programs with science fiction and historical fiction themes, and is determined she can combine her three favorite genres, creating a new breed of novel with scifi, historical and smut sandwiched in the middle.

The last thing she ever thought she’d do was pursue her dream to be a writer since her family tends to keep her busy. When she was introduced to fan fiction, she realized she wanted to see more science fiction and historical fiction to fill in the gap with lots of naughtiness thrown in, of course. Her true passion is creating her own worlds from scratch, letting her imagination go and take her to another place.

Having recently entered the BDSM lifestyle and discovering she’s a submissive herself has opened her eyes to how few stories there are exploring the softer side of the lifestyle. She enjoys chatting online with others with similar kinky interests and has advisers in the lifestyle that help make sure her stories remain true and don’t veer off into outer space. Although aliens probably enjoy kink, too, since they like to dress in rubber fetish-wear while traveling. At least that’s her argument for why her new genre she’s created is valid.

Her passion for reading over the years has amassed her with hours of pleasure. It wasn’t until she stumbled upon fanfiction that her thirst to write overtook her world. She now resides in Central Florida with her husband and son, spending all her down time letting her creativity flow and letting her characters grow.

“When’s my next appointment?” I asked my receptionist Janice while making my way around the front counter. I’d just walked out Lance’s crush and wanted the day to be over.

“You have one more, Talan. Esther is due in twenty.”

“Fuck, I forgot about her.” My body slumped against the counter. The boys and I were hoping for the evening to be slow, allowing us an early night.

“That’s why I’m here, handsome. To serve you in any way you need,” Janice purred, and I sighed as I flipped open my laptop and logged in. I’d made the mistake of wetting my dick in her a few months back when she first came through my door. Afterward, she became jealous and clingy, wanting more than I was willing to give.

The only reason she was still there was because she had bigger balls than the other two fuckers that worked there. Janice could handle the leers, gestures, and jokes like a pro, but fuck with her inventory or dirty my shop, and she will rip you a new one.

“Janice, cut that shit out,” I demanded before storming off toward the back and into my sanctuary. The guys all laughed when I walked by. I flipped them the bird and continued on into my room.

An hour had passed since I’d asked Janice if I was clear and there was still no sign of Esther. It was the usual for her. The woman would be late to her own funeral, but this was a new one for her.

She was never this late.

I was becoming agitated by the lack of common sense people had to pick up a goddamn phone. How hard could it be to let me know if you’re coming or not? There was just something about a person’s lack of punctuality that pissed me off. Not caring if I had shit to do or places to be was plain rude.

I was worked up to the point of walking out the damn door.

“Janice,” I called out into the now empty shop. She’d insisted – once the boy’s left – in staying behind to help me set up, not listening to my refusal. “Call Esther and reschedule. I’m beat and—”

“I’m here,” Esther yelled, rushing through the door. “Traffic was a bitch and I—”

“Save it and get in my chair before I kick you out,” I grumbled and rubbed my throbbing temples.

“But, I brought—”

“Now.”

“Is he always this rude?” a soft, feminine voice I didn’t recognize asked.

I looked up, and was startled by the sexy little thing that stood before me. She was young. Much younger than what I was normally attracted to; at the most this little nymph was twenty.

The beauty had black hair; wavy and tousled locks that swept down to the middle of her back, with side-swept bangs across her forehead. Her face was sweet, innocent, while her gray eyes spoke of mischief, and in my case, trouble. Lips, those fucking cherry-red lips, were plump and inviting—the perfect Cupid’s bow that begged to be nibbled.

I let my eyes traverse her short frame and my mouth watered. She truly was an itty-bitty thing. With my six-foot-four frame, I towered over her, dwarfing her delicate one.

My feet carried me closer to where she stood, next to Esther in the receptionist area. I wanted her laid on that black marble top so I could feast on her. The drought I’d been on as of late might have been making me desperate…then again, looking at her was making something within me want to just take, consequences be damned.

We watched each other; she followed my every move and I, her every breath.

My eyes dropped from her perfect face to hungrily devour her chest and a shiver ran down my spine.  The two pert, no bigger than a handful breasts, sat high on her chest. She wore a simple camisole that did little to hide her obvious happiness to meet me.

My cock twitched as her nips puckered.

I continued my assessment and found my hands clenching the second her narrow waist and flared hips came into view. My nails dug grooves into the palms of my hands, the slight pinch keeping me in check. The desire to pull her closer, grab onto her flesh, and leave my prints behind was almost unbearable.

She was a slim petite thing, with the sexiest pair of legs my eyes had ever seen; they were bare for my enjoyment. A tiny pair of denim shorts barely covered her lower region, marking every groove and molding onto her sinful flesh as if they were a part of her.

I was hard.

“Wow,” a voice coughed to my right, pulling my eyes away from Bitty.

“What—”

“You can say ‘thank you’ for my gift now and eye fuck her later.” Esther laughed while Bitty turned red around the cheeks.

This cute little thing blushes?

“Talan, it’s getting late,” Janice interrupted suddenly, “and we have plans.”

“I’m sorry,” Bitty spoke up, turning to Esther, “maybe we should come ba—”

“No.” The word popped out before I could think to stop them.

“Yes.” My glare cut off Janice before she could continue, eliciting a chastised look from her. Who the hell did she think she was to be so rude and hostile toward my client and someone who, I hoped, would soon be my friend?

“Enough, Janice.” I let the words come out encased in a low, warning growl before turning toward the two women with raised brows. “You two head on back.” Bitty went to protest at my command, but instead bit her lip, causing me to groan. Fuck, I need to get this situation under control. “Esther, you know the drill; lose the shirt and get comfy. Bitty, I want—”

Bitty crossed her arms, scowling adorably. “Who you calling ‘Bitty’?”

“You, sweet thing, now quit interrupting me.”

Bitty huffed, but I saw no real annoyance in her expression.

“Talan, can we have a word please?” Janice butt-in, again. If this chick didn’t leave soon she was going to find herself without a job.

“No, and for fuck’s sake—go home.”

“But,” she whined and gave me a ridiculous pout. The two other girls in the room laughed. Janice didn’t appreciate this and turned her icy glare on them.

“Come on, Es, seems the big, bad, tatt boy has his hands full,” Bitty cooed with a sexy giggle and pulled a nosy Esther behind her. The two walked off, down toward the room with my name on the door. They walked in, and while Esther went to strip, Bitty closed the door.

Her eyes—those damn cat-like grey eyes—set on mine, blazing with amusement while she winked then pushed the door closed.

“What the fuck was that?” Janice hissed once they were both out of earshot. “You should have a little more—”

“Get out,” I said through gritted teeth.

Janice’s jaw jutted forward in defiance. “Are you into that little girl?”

I pointed toward the door. “Out and quit pushing . . . you’re walking a fine line.”

Hurt flickered in her eyes. “Talan, I—”

“Go home, Janice. Go home before I fucking lose the last bit of patience I have today and kick you out permanently.”

In Praise of Boys with Glasses

PLEASE NOTE – THIS WHOLE BLOG POST IS A GRATUITOUS EXCUSE TO POST LOTS OF PHOTOS OF SEXY BOYS WEARING GLASSES.

image

What is it about boys with glasses? To me there’s something inherently sex about guys who wear them. I’m not sure if it’s the geek / intelligent look that appeals, or the fact you have to lean close in order to see them properly. It could even be the possibilities that come from taking those glasses off…

 photo tumblr_lps6paBaPi1qawq0no1_500_zps3775c7a9.gif

Take Mr E. No, please, take him. (Don’t really, he comes in useful on trash day.) He wears contacts during the day. But before he goes to bed, and first thing in the morning, he wears glasses. And I think it’s totally hot. He, on the other hand, thinks they are a pain in the ass, but hey, this is all about me. I like kissing a man (or rather the man) in glasses, I love it when he takes them off and folds them up and puts them on the bedside table. I even get a kick out of the fact he’s blind as a bat without them. Which means that in the morning when I’m looking at my worst, I still look the same to him. Win!

Now, the whole point of this post wasn’t for me to get all excited about a pair of -5.5 prescription lenses. It was to explain that I like writing about men wearing glasses, too. Glasses can lend character traits (what kind of glasses, do they slip down their noses, do they take them off at important moments) as well as plot twists (imagine waking up to hear an intruder in the house, and reaching out for your glasses but they aren’t there. You have to run away from the intruder while virtually blind. Scary stuff.). I guess at their very basest, you can use the whole geek to chic transformation a la Clark Kent, when he takes off his glasses and becomes a hottie. Not that it would work for me. I’d be the one going for Clark every time.

So, in order to illustrate my point further, I give you some gratuitious glasses porn:

image

Ryan Gosling. Those of you who know me, are probably aware I have a huge crush on Ryan. Particularly when he’s wearing the glasses. Or telling a girl he loves her in the rain. Psssh, I’ll take him any way I can.

.

image

Oh, hello sexy guy with glasses AND beard. Are you trying to make my ovaries explode?

.

image

I’m thinking this might be the same guy in the first post. But I really don’t mind.

So, to sum up. Glasses are hot. Boys are nice. When they take them off it’s not only sexy, it can provide a plot point. Thanks for listening, class. Any questions?

Excerpt:
“I have a priority mission I want you to take, Jade. The rewards for this one are huge,” she explained as she passed the paperwork over to me. “It’s going to take a few months of hard work to infiltrate the actual home of Mr. Kirkham. As you can see, he owns quite a few properties, but only one of the locations houses the main hard drive that our client needs. I’m sure you can use your talents as an advantage to find out which one, though.” I laughed, knowing exactly what Sonia meant. I was one of her top Seductors, after all. In the last five years, I had made over fifty million dollars for the company. My looks helped…a lot. I was your typical perfect blonde with clear blue eyes and legs that went on forever. Men fell for my innocent act, but I was no angel in real life. It never took a target long to find that out, either. Especially if I chose to take them to bed to gain access to what I’d been assigned to steal. I didn’t always need to go the whole way, though—I was just that good.Sonia was the top dog at the Seductors, and she reported straight to the owner of the organization. I guess you could describe our headquarters in Florida a little like the playboy mansion, except we had guys here, too, and all of us were trained to defend ourselves if we needed to. Rule #6: Seductors must make sure they are always able to protect themselves from any sudden danger. A monthly refresher is mandatory to renew certification.I could only speculate that our founder must have once been a secret agent or in the FBI in the past, because the contacts this organization had could rival that of the Secret Service. I was still trying to work out if that person was a male or female, but either way, our founder was a genius. As I sat in front of Sonia, I began to look closely over the paperwork. My new target was a Mr. Oliver Kirkham of Kirkham Industries. He wasn’t a bad looking guy according to the picture in his file: tall, dark and handsome—just the way I liked them. His income stats weren’t too bad, either. Half a billion dollars in net profits last year. Damn, that was a lot of money. He had no partner at the moment, although he had been linked to quite a few women over the last few years. Nothing appeared too serious, however, which was interesting.

It seemed I’d need to travel a bit to track this Mr. Kirkham down. London and New York seemed to be popular places for him.

“When do I leave?” I asked Sonia while I was still reading Mr. Kirkham’s file.

“He’s due in London next weekend to head up an industrial conference.”

“Now, that sounds like fun,” I teased.

“I’m sure you’ll be able to liven up his visit, Jade,” Sonia winked. “Make sure you read that file carefully. We have a lot of money riding on this contract, so we can’t afford any mistakes.”

“Have I ever let you down?” I pointed out.

“Why do you think I’ve put you on this assignment? When do you think you’ll complete the job you’re on right now?”

“I’ll have the diamonds by tomorrow evening,” I smirked.

“That quickly?” Sonia looked impressed, but then I had only been on the job for two weeks.

“It’s an easy steal. I made first contact yesterday, and of course we hit it off. I’m meeting him at his house tomorrow,” I replied.

“You’re ruthless, Jade,” Sonia grinned before dismissing me.

As I continued to study my new file, it became clear that Mr. Kirkham was big in the weapons industry. Our client wanted the blueprints for a new machine—the S1030—that was being designed by his company. No wonder this was such a big payout for us.

I had no conscience when it came to stealing, nor did I know who wanted these blueprints. Clients had the choice of remaining anonymous to the chosen Seductor—as was the case with this job—but I never thought about the outcome anyway. This was business. It was all about the money, and this deal was worth five million dollars. It was the biggest mission I’d ever been assigned to, and I would succeed. There was no doubt in my mind.

It would be really nice to work on just one case for a few months without having to worry about other assignments; sometimes I felt like a prostitute when I was tasked with seducing more than one target at the same time. This Oliver was becoming more pleasing to the eye each time I gazed at him.

Oh, this could even be fun!

What To Read Wednesday – The Lonely and Lost Boy by Tara Brown

cooltext1310418041

This week’s I’m reviewing two books for the price of one. The Lonely and Lost Boy by Tara Brown

The Lonely by Tara Brown

The truth is subjective to what the lonely lets in.

Emalyn Spicer has lived with it for a long time. She thinks it goes back further than her memories do. She knows it goes back further than the OCD.

When she arrives at college, her OCD and the lonely refuse to let her have her wish to be normal.

When she meets Sebastian and starts to fall for him, she lets herself believe it’s possible to outrun the things chasing her from the past. But how to you get away from the things inside of you? How do you run from yourself?

Just as she gives up and succumbs to the lonely, the unthinkable happens. She finds herself once again trapped in the dark, once again held against her will.

This time she meets the lonely head on. In the darkest corners of her mind, she discovers there is more to her world than she ever imagined. She discovers that the lonely was there for her, protecting her from herself and her secrets.

How far would you go to find yourself?

This is a dark and captivating novel, tread lightly.

cooltext1310419007

I eat books. When I find ones I enjoy, I can devour them in one sitting, leaving the cooking, washing, ironing and child-watching for another day. The Lonely, and its companion novel, Lost Boy, provided me with some gourmet reading.

It’s really hard to explain what happens in the book without giving the plot away. This is one of those novels where the twist in the middle really makes the story, so I’ll endeavor to do everything I can to avoid spoilers. Take it from me that the twist is worth waiting for, and reading more about it in The Lost Boy only makes it better.

Emalyn is a broken character. She has severe OCD, barely makes it through each day, and her entire life seems to be directed by an anonymous voice at the end of her phone. The only two people who seem to accept her are her best friend, Michelle, and her driver, Stuart. As the book continues we learn that she is an orphan, discovered on the streets of a small town in New Mexico, and brought up by nuns. At some point after this, her benefactor (or ‘Uncle Daddy’ as Michelle calls him) has discovered her, and pays for everything, while also ruling her life.

During her first weeks at college in Boston, she meets Sebastian. A good-looking, friendly and seemingly normal guy, he asks Emalyn out. He seems to understand her OCD, and is willing to overlook any quirks she might have and see through to the softer girl inside. But all doesn’t run smoothly; she can’t bring herself to have a physical relationship with him, and her messed-up view on life threatens to stop the relationship before it can really start.

At this point, her mysterious benefactor takes on a life and character of his own. To say more would spoil the twist in the middle, but the reasons for his generosity and control come out in the latter part of The Lonely, and very clearly in The Lost Boy. Whether I agree with his decisions are another matter!

That’s where I’m going to leave any description of the story. If you want to read it—and I recommend you do—both books are available for 99c on Amazon.

The Lonely is a dark book with messed up characters and a twisty storyline. It has the same sort of tone as stories like Captive in the Dark and Consequences, and if you liked those books, you’ll probably like this one too.

As for me, I LOVED it. It had interesting characters, a dark plot and writing that drew me right in. Five dark and twisty stars.

Monday Musings – Where I talk about writing, editing and giveaways

writing

It’s Monday. Not usually a cause for celebration, unless you don’t work, have a billion dollars and prefer the shops to be empty when you go and spend it. I would normally be at work right now, but I am travelling this afternoon so thought I’d take the opportunity to blog while I have the chance.

Looking back over November, I feel like it has been a really great month. I’ve been happy with the release of Halfway Hidden, and really pleased with both sales and reviews. It’s given me that push I need to get the next in the series finished. I’m very excited about getting down to that. The reason I haven’t been writing this one already is I’ve been working on a New Adult novel, which I’m hoping to publish in the early part of 2014, possibly in February. I’m really happy to say I managed to finish the first draft yesterday. Cue fireworks and party poppers!

Of course, this is when the real work begins. My first draft is rough as heck, and needs the polish only a rewrite and developmental edit can give. I’m bracing myself for the experience–it’s not something that comes easy to me (unlike the writing side) but I know how important it is to the finished product. Rather like running at the gym, I’m doing it for my own good.

This is where I’d usually give you the blurb just to see what you think. But I’ve been reliably informed it needs work and currently gives too much away. So as soon as I’ve done that work, I’ll be sure to add it here and to GoodReads.

In addition, the lovely Mayhem Cover Creations have made a kick-ass cover which I can’t stop looking at. This one is going to be released in paperback as well as an ebook and I can’t wait to get my grubby little mitts on it, just for the cover. I may cry.

After finishing the first draft, I made a plan for 2014. I am hoping to publish 5 books next year, made up of 4 novels and a novella. We’ll see if I come anywhere close to that. It’s not written in stone, I just wanted to have something to aim for. A new year’s resolution for a writer, if you will.

Now that December is here, most of the giveaways that I’m part of are live. I’ve linked them below, there are a huge number of prizes at them all, and I know there are a lot of books listed that I’m keen to get my hands on. Maybe you are too. There’s nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Release Day – The Little Drummer Boy by Sydney Logan

It’s release day for Sydney Logan’s latest holiday short story, “The Little Drummer Boy!”

It’s Christmas Eve, and Justin Banks is on the hunt for a last-minute gift for his wife, Megan. With the help of a homeless man and the beat of a drum, Justin stumbles upon the one thing Megan has always wanted. The one thing money can’t buy.

It’s amazing what we can hear if we just take a moment and really listen.

Rum pum pum pum.

It’s faint, but it’s there. A quiet, rhythmic beat that blends into the night. How this old man heard the sound is beyond me.

“You hear it, don’t you?”

With a nod, I look around, hoping to find the source of the sound. The man points toward the coffee shop’s covered alleyway.

“Back there,” he says.

The carolers begin their rendition of “O Holy Night,” and once again, I hear the “rum pum pum pum” coming from the darkness.

Intrigued, I step away from the old man and walk slowly toward the alley. Each step brings me closer to the beat, until finally, I see a little boy, nestled in the corner. His only light comes from a lantern, and a snare drum rests in his lap. The drum is scarred and the strap is frayed, but it’s obviously his most prized possession.

Probably his only possession.

Does he live here? In this filthy alley? And where are his parents?

His clothes are dirty and ragged, and the faded blue jacket he wears is about three sizes too big.

“Shall I play for you?” he whispers.

About the Author

ElenaMReyesElena M. Reyes was born and raised in Miami Florida. She is the epitome of a Floridian and if she could live in her beloved flip-flops, she would.

As a small child, she was always intrigued with all forms of art—whether it was dancing to island rhythms, or painting with any medium she could get her hands on. Her first taste of writing came to her during her fifth grade year when her class was prompted to participate in the D. A. R. E. Program and write an essay on what they’d learned.

Her passion for reading over the years has amassed her with hours of pleasure. It wasn’t until she stumbled upon fanfiction that her thirst to write overtook her world. She now resides in Central Florida with her husband and son, spending all her down time letting her creativity flow and letting her characters grow.
