Tumbleweed is actually an invasive species from Siberia. What happens is when the soil gets too dry the roots come out of the ground and the plant curls up into a ball so that it can blow to a new spot. When it comes into contact with wet soil its roots will unfold and it will settle down.
That is ten times more fucked up than I thought. They plant themselves again? That’s neat. I always thought they were just dead leaves and twigs in a bunch.
I like this. Tumbleweeds just fuck off when they don’t like a place, they are not like other plants who have to respect your plant rules, they are rebels.

How so?
It splits a the democratic votes apart and that way, neither Dem candidate will get enough to win. If Bernie can’t even get the nom in the primary, why would he get enough write ins to stand a chance to win the Gen Election? Plus, there are some states where you can’t even write in. This is a Bad Idea. It’s unfortunate, but you can tell there’s a ton of Bernie supporters who are young/haven’t been taught enough about the full election process to make decisions accordingly.

Oh sweet holy jesus mother of fucking god. PLEASE do not do this. Do not write in a candidate, even if it’s allowed in your state. Do not vote for the Green Party candidate. Do not vote for the Socialist party candidate. DO NOT VOTE FOR A THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE, I don’t care if it literally is the second coming of Christ they have on offer.
Your choices are two: Democrat or Republican. Whoever they may be. I don’t care if the Democrat is the foulest smelling turd ever to walk this Earth, he or she is not the ‘lesser of two evils’, they are the NOT EVIL ONE!
It was bad enough that third party spoilers ushered in G.W. Bush. That was awful enough. But the idea of third party/write-in spoilers ushering in a TRUMP presidency????
Nope.
My young relative voting for the first time has this attitude that it’s Bernie or nothing and Clinton is possibly even worse than Trump (??? HOW do people seriously go Sanders>Trump>Clinton?? Stop with this celebrity politician bullshit and consider the actual consequences of the party getting in power, not just the one person.), and will never get his vote. Nothing I, nor any of his friends, nor his parents, nor any person intelligent about or experienced with the political process, say can sway him on that. While some people live in states that are no doubt going to go for a particular candidate no matter who they vote personally vote for, there are also plenty of swing states. I’m begging you: PLEASE do not make me live in a world where Trump is president because you decided to waste your vote on a 3rd party candidate with no hope of success. And frankly, I’d say that about any 3rd party or write-in candidate, no matter the circumstances. For better or worse, we live in a country with two political parties. That’s not going to change any time soon, and certainly not by/during this election.
