My Experience as an Author with Fiberead

In China, it’s much harder to get a book published than in America. Books are heavily censored and publishing is controlled by the government. You essentially need to partner with an approved publishing house to get your book published, but most small-time foreign authors are ignored by publishers. You may ask, “why bother?” Well, the market in China is quite large and the numbers show readers are hungry for foreign books. There is potential to make a good amount of money there.

If you’re an...

20 Unicorn Gifts Sure to Make You and Your Loved One Smile

Disclaimer

I’ve never been a girly-girl, but I’ve always had a special place in my heart for unicorns. They’re majestic, magical, and fun, and they always make me smile, just like marshmallows in cereal. I don’t have many unicorn themed things, but I realized the other day that I’ve sort of been collecting links to them. They’re in my Amazon history, hanging out in my Facebook saves…they’re even popping up for me in Facebook targeted ads (more on this later). So, I decided to pull them all together and...

It Finally Happened…

I’m old. Yep, my daughter called me old. She trudged out of her room, her blanket wrapped around her, after lying in bed for about 20 minutes at bedtime. This has become the routine. She tells me she misses me and can’t go to bed.

Me: Go to bed. You’re tired. You have dark circles under your eyes and you’re staring like you’re tired.

4 year-old: Yeah, because I’m old. I don’t want to be old like you.
At this point, Mr. Awesome starts laughing from across the room where he’s sitting on the...

Recipe: Cinnamon Apple Walnut Overnight Oats with Apple & Eve Juice

Disclaimer

Recently, I received an Apple & Eve VoxBox from Influenster. It was filled with 5 juices – 3 from their regular 100% juice line and 2 from their Fruitables line. I received these products for free to try. All opinions are my own.

Needless to say, they didn’t last very long. As soon as my first born saw the packaging, she was all over them. She loves juice boxes and I love that Apple & Eve doesn’t add unneeded ingredients like artificial coloring an...

I’m a Work Zombie. Time for a Change!

It’s amazing how quickly a year goes by when you have a baby. It’s been an absolute triathlon every single day. I just keep pushing, pushing, pushing through. I don’t remember the last time I slept a straight 7 hours. There are nights when I’m up every 1.5 with her due to gas or teething, and I don’t get a break in the day. I work full time. The day I was sick and shaking from major chills? I was holding my baby, who was also ill. That’s motherhood. Your kids always come first.

When I got pre...

Review: ARV-3 by Cameo Renae (Audiobook)

ARV-3 by Cameo Renae

ARV-3 by Cameo Renae

I thoroughly enjoyed Cameo Renae’s angel-themed Hidden Wings Series, so I was very interested when I saw that she had a young adult dystopian series called The After Light Saga. Because I’m a working mom, I decided to listen to the first book in the series, ARV-3, during quiet times in the office.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the story:

ARV-3 begins after an apocalyptic nuclear event wipes out most of the life on the planet. The story centers on 17 year-old Abigail Park...
