The Rise & Fall of Fanaticism

In “God You Sexy Devil” I ask my Inner Voice or the voice of God, “Religious fundamentalism has reached a frenzied pitch all over the world. The fundamentalists of various religions want to destroy each other. Is there a way out of this mess?”

God: “The problems of the world cannot be solved by peace marches, prayer vigils, non violent and violent protests, treaties, summits and the United Nations. The root cause, and the solution to the world’s problems, lies within each of you. When you find peace within, there will be peace in your world, when your inner chaos dies down the world around you will become harmonious, when you truly love yourself without judgment or shame there will be love wherever you go.

The terrorists, as well as the armies that hunt them down, are all fanatics. Each side is absolutely convinced that their opinion is the truth and the others are wrong, deluded or brainwashed. Ultimately, the fault finder and the wrong doer, the tyrant and the victim trade places, doing to each other that which was done to them. The principle of action and reaction is the same for everyone. Anger begets anger, hate begets hate, violence begets violence and fanaticism begets fanaticism. The victims of one brand of terrorism give rise to another. Karmic reactions increase in intensity, expanding endlessly with each reaction spiral.

Fanaticism is not the prerogative of a particular group of people. It is a mindset, a way of thinking and perceiving the world. The mind and ego want you to believe that that the thoughts, perceptions and opinions they concoct are the truth, that you are right and those who disagree are wrong. The result is judgmental, righteous, intolerant, bigoted, racist, sexist, fanatical behavior. Whoever thinks they are right is a fanatic! That means almost everyone, depending on the extent of their affliction, is guilty of contributing to the rise of fanaticism.

Your collective consciousness has given birth to this new holocaust that now haunts your world. What you are seeing is a mirror reflection of your own rigid and fanatical thinking about how the world should be, what is right and wrong, good and evil. When you think you are right, by inference you assume that others who think or act differently are wrong. When you insult someone, criticize, fault find, backbite, judge or accuse another, you are being righteous. When you impose your truth on others, when you think you are right and make others wrong, they will inevitably react with anger and even hate.

The insanity of fanaticism feeds on its own hysteria, eating into the soul of the person and mercilessly exploiting and destroying everything around them. In trying to destroy the enemy outside you will find that you are destroying yourself inside. If, in your rage against terrorism you react and declare war on the terrorists, they will react and bring about even more destruction on you.

In the battle of righteousness there are no winners. Fanaticism cannot be destroyed, suppressed or ignored. The only outcome is suffering, hatred, violence and destruction. Will it ever stop? No. Not until fanaticism stops – both yours and theirs. Not until religion ends. Not until countries cease to exist. Not until people are trained to subdue their negative thinking, discrimination and narrow mindedness. Until then, in the name of heaven, you will create hell on Earth. As long as you try to appease the Gods of money, power and religion, the wars will only get worse and humanity will sink deeper into pain and negativity.

If it is not stopped right now, fanaticism will grow unlimitedly and turn this entire planet into a place where no one is safe, free or able to think for themselves. You are all extremely powerful beings. Your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, desires and actions generate powerful energies that alter the fabric of existence. You are significant, you matter and you can bring about massive change just by altering the way you think, feel and perceive the world, as well as the people around you.

The only way out is to understand the folly of your thinking and shift your consciousness in the direction of forgiveness, compassion and love. The destruction of fanaticism in the world begins with yourself. Notice the fanaticism, the rigidity, the righteousness, the superiority that you feel and the arrogance in your heart. Stop your mind when it tells you that you are right and another is wrong, when it judges, criticizes and condemns you or others. Disbelieve your thoughts. Challenge your negative beliefs. Purge your heart and mind from the scourge of fanaticism and you will set in motion the most powerful force for change. When you take responsibility for having created fanaticism you will also gain the power to end it.”

I Am and I Am Not

The following is an excerpt from “God, You Sexy Devil” Chapter 1: I Am and I Am Not

Rohit: My mind seems still, there are no thoughts except a gentle whisper responding to my question. Is this the voice of my mind, my soul, an alien entity or someone else? Who are you? Are you God? Please identify yourself. I am ready to listen to your version of the truth. I am not afraid of the consequences.

Inner Voice: I speak through you, as a voice in your head, using your intellect, tapping into your experience and aligning with your consciousness, but only to the extent that you are open, empty and receptive, can I reveal myself. My attempt is to breakthrough your limitations, expand your imagination, open your body, mind, heart and soul. Then perhaps you will be able to glimpse some part of me and get a sense of who I am.

I am God and I am not. I am God but not the God you believe in. I am the one you seek but not the one you know. If you are attached to what you know from religion, scriptures, priests, gurus and science then all that I am about to say will mean nothing to you. Your belief in the known will not allow you to discover the unknown. I invite you to put aside your knowing and experience the mystery, the magic, the miracle and the true nature of God that has been hidden from your world for thousands of years. The time has come for the truth to be revealed.

The truth is, I Am … the One and only God. I Am … the God of every religion that ever existed. I Am … the Light, the Universe, the Source, the Creator of everything and everyone. I Am … the origin and the essence of all that is material and spiritual, I Am … the cause and the effect, the creation and the dissolution, the origin and the destination of all that is. I Am … the all in One and the One in all, which means that I am in everything and everyone and yet I exist separate from my creation as a unique, individuated, being. I Am … past, present and future, existence and non-existence, everything and nothing, everywhere and nowhere. I Am … God and the devil, good and evil, light and darkness. I Am … every object, creature, thought, creation, idea or action that anyone ever had, did or will do. Above all, I Am … love, unconditional, limitless, eternal and pure love.

I am in every scripture, place of worship and spiritual path. I am the son of God, the messenger of God and the guru – all in One. I am in everyone. Every theist and atheist,  saint and sinner, messiah and murderer, priest and prisoner is an expression of my endless kaleidoscopic diversity. I am everywhere. Every bar and temple, whorehouse and church, prison and mosque, mansion and hutment is my home.

I cannot be limited to any singular name, form or theology. All names for God, since time immemorial, have been attempts to describe the indescribable. I am Jesus, Yahweh, Elohim, Allah, Nanak, Buddha, Rama and Krishna. I am simultaneously all of them and yet each one of you has been led to believe that your God is the only God and that all the others are impostors or devils. The real devils are in fact the short sighted, immature, unrealized preachers who, through their warped, arrogant, fear-filled teachings, have brought about the greatest wedge between humanity.

I want to be very clear from the beginning that my words are not directed at highly evolved beings such as Christ, Moses, Mohammed, Buddha, Nanak etc. or the kind hearted, open minded, liberal believers who have understood the deeper intent of their message. Whenever I use the words religion, scriptures, messiahs, saviors or messengers, I am referring to the distorted interpretations propagated by the conservative, orthodox, fanatics and fundamentalists of all religions. These devils in pious garb have divided the planet into religious sects, communities, and countries,wreaking havoc on Earth. In their ignorance they have brought humanity to the brink of chaos and destruction. Their influence must be stopped before it spreads any further.
