He’s the Spare Heir of Bliss’s most famous jewelry shop
Max Gregory’s family is best known for creating and displaying the infamous Mrs. Claus diamond ring, but here in the bridal capital of the world, Max is best known for having a cursed love life. Not that he believes in curses. Or he didn’t, until he met her.
She’s the daughter of a notorious jewel thief
Merry Silver’s parents have wreaked havoc on her life. After her last romantic disaster—thanks, Daddy—she’s fleeing the country for a chance at normal. But first, she has to avoid her favorite ex-boyfriend while she gets her mom married off. Again.
And their Christmas miracle might be a second chance at love
Max was devastated when he discovered why Merry disappeared last year. Now she’s back in Bliss for a wedding, and her father may be after his family’s most prized possession. But is it the diamond Max is worried about? Or is he afraid of losing the only woman who’s ever made him want to settle down?
Either way…the family jewels are in danger.
Excerpt:

Max Gregory was used to being a man of many hats, though he was looking forward to once again being a man who wore pants. With only a layer of cotton between the winter air and his manhood, he was in danger of freezing his nuts off.
He snagged the tiara off the passenger seat of his sister-in-law’s car. The piece was bent and missing several gems, but the crazy-ass, wedding-crashing owl had dropped it back on the stage on its second pass to dive-bomb the festival. Max had rescued the old costume jewelry before the owl could snag it again.
The gems might’ve been fake, but Gramps had designed the tiara for Gran to match the Mrs. Claus Diamond engagement ring that had made With This Ring famous. It deserved a place of honor in the store.
Especially now that Gramps and Gran were both gone.
Keys in hand, Max turned the corner to the rear of the building and stopped dead in his tracks.
Merry Silver—if that was really her name—had her arms crossed over her dark, puffy coat, one hip cocked, and a glower that suggested she’d be happy to use her boot to crush Max’s frozen balls to bits.
His heart twisted, adding a kick to the sudden hollow ache in his chest. He tightened his grip on the tiara and mimicked Merry’s stance.
Of the two of them, he was more worthy of doing the glowering. But instead of lighting up with righteous outrage or fear for his family’s jewels, his bones sagged with a relief he didn’t want to acknowledge.
Merry’s eyes flared wide for a fraction of a second before her glower and her arms dropped.
Had she been expecting someone else?
She had a smart phone in one gloved hand and her other hand balled into a fist.
“What have we here?” Max said softly.
The desire to check the door to his family’s jewelry shop warred with an instinct to not take his eyes off her for a microsecond. Not even to blink.
“My mom’s getting married,” Merry said. “She needs a ring.”
“Most people would go to the front door,” he said. “In the daytime.”
Her head cocked, and the ruddy knit hat hiding her ebony hair tilted. She took another step closer to his family’s store. “I’m sure most people would.”
Max angled toward her and caught a hint of spring flowers. Soft, fragile, feminine. She hadn’t changed her shampoo since he’d last known her.
She shifted closer to With This Ring.
Her cheekbones were sharper, her nose more delicate, her body more clothed than when he’d seen her last.
And unlike those two months he’d known her—when, he’d discovered after hours of research into her father, he hadn’t actually known her at all—she apparently didn’t feel the need to pussyfoot around what she wanted now.
Had she been anyone else, he would’ve pinned her down while calling the cops.
But Max didn’t trust himself to touch her. Because too big of a part of him was drinking in the sight of her whole, alive, and seemingly unharmed.
He twisted to follow her. “Most women want to pick their own wedding ring.”
“When you’ve had seven or eight, the details matter less.”
Seven or—Jesus. He hadn’t looked into her mother.
If she even had one. “She kill the first six or seven?” Max asked.
Her straight, dark eyebrows lowered, and he had the distinct impression they’d just put him in his place before she ever opened her mouth. “Only two. And not in any ways punishable by law.”

The Top Ten Sexiest Things A Romance Hero Can Do
We all love our romance heroes muscular and determined, with that soft spot for our beloved heroine, but I have a few more requirements for my ideal hero. You won’t necessarily find him doing all of these things within the pages of a romance novel, but in my fantasy, he’s totally on top of it.
Jamie’s Top Ten Sexiest Things A Romance Hero Can Do
10. Always keep the bathroom stocked with toilet paper.
9. Rinse food particles out of the kitchen sink after doing the dishes.
8. Fold and put away his own laundry.
7. Change diapers. (Note: Bonus points if it’s not his kid.)
6. Never leave floaters.
5. Sponsor random spa days. (Babysitting included.)
4. Kill all the effing spiders. (And mice. And palmetto bugs. And… you get the idea.)
3. Cover bath time.
2. Don’t judge the reasons we watch Supernatural.
1. Just let her read.
What do you think? What’s the sexiest thing your hero does for you? What do you wish he’d do more?

Seven Reasons I Can’t Wait For Sugared!!
I have a confession about Sugared: I was secretly terrified to write it.
Kimmie is pure comic relief in Blissed and Matched, and I was afraid there wasn’t a hero good enough for her, or that I couldn’t write her funny enough to sustain a 350-page book, or that I’d discover 275 pages in that she was actually half-alien because her mother had been abducted and had a secret love affair with the alien king, which, let’s face it, would explain a lot about Marilyn Elias.
However, you, my fans, deserve so much more than me taking the easy way out with the unexpected alien father plot twist.
But thanks to years (literally) of Kimmie’s story percolating in the back of my brain, Sugared came together remarkably quickly.
And I am bouncing on my toes wishing I could share it with you right now. But since I can’t (it’s with my copy editor, getting a final spit and polish before my proofreaders get their hands on it for one last check so that you all get the very best story I can give you), instead, I’ll tell you what I’m excited about with this book.
Seven Things I Am Super Excited About In Sugared:
7. Kimmie’s dreams. (Naturally.)
6. The cake and cupcakes. (And I have a related surprise I’ll tell you about soon!)
5. The weddings. (Can’t have a book in Bliss without one or two, can I?)
4. Josh’s half-stake in Heaven’s Bakery, Kimmie’s family business in Bliss. (You can’t see me, but I’m cackling the evil author cackle.)
3. The Master Plan to get Heaven’s Bakery back from Josh. (Oooh, the evil author cackle again!!)
2. Did I mention Josh?? I’ve always thought of Sugared as Kimmie’s book, which it totally is, but Josh. JOSH. I couldn’t write Kimmie’s book without giving her a hero worthy of her, and in the end, I hope y’all will love Josh as much as I do.
1. Sugared. I am simply excited about the whole story. It’s hilarious, it’s smart, it’s romantic and unique and possibly even tear-worthy. I love Kimmie. I love Josh. I love Kimmie and Josh together, even before they’re together-together.
Sugared will be here soon!! It’s available for pre-order on iBooks and Kobo right now, and I’ll send an email to my newsletter list on release day, so if you’re not signed up, hit the sign-up button at the top of the page, or click here!
More fun and surprises coming soon, y’all!!

I was glancing at my Facebook page, and one post stood out as the most popular post of the year so far.

I… I’m not entirely certain what to make of that. Except to say that I love you all for not being repulsed by my “Eeeww!” face.

Anna Grace’s Top Ten Cringeworthy Yankee-isms
Re-reading Southern Fried Blues and thinking about the holidays have left me contemplating all the things Anna Grace might say to give Jackson’s momma a heart attack over Christmas dinner. Want to know what they are?
10. “Is that your pie crust? Oh, bless your heart.”
9. “Ham? Jackson told me we were having squirrel for Christmas dinner.”
8. “When does the redneck golf start again?”
7. “Is Louisa’s boyfriend coming?”
6. “Anything Southerners can do, Canadians do better.”
5. “I’ve lived in Georgia so long, I could be a Southerner too.”
4. “The Golden Gophers could mop the football field with Auburn and Alabama put together.”
3. “Please pass the ketchup.”
2. “I hope it snows!”
1. “You do know that the North won the war, don’t you?”
If you haven’t picked up your copy of Southern Fried Blues yet, treat yourself today!
