This week I'm definitely celebrating warmer weather!! The temperature went wild on Wednesday, going over 60 degrees. I had a picnic with my grand babies in the back yard and we played outside. Seeing sunny days and breathing in fresh springtime breezes makes a person feel alive!

This weather is a day to day thingy. Rainy, overcast, and chilly most days, but I can see sunlight at the end of it all....

I'm looking forward to puttering in my gardens, which needs so much tender loving care, you can't imagine!

Have a pleasant weekend!!

This week I'm celebrating my New Release Wings of Flesh and Bones
An Angel. A Witch. A Demon. And A Choice.

Creatures from outer realms suck, as any gatekeeper worth their salt will tell you. Welcome to Rogan’s life, an orphaned seventeen-year-old who lives and trains with other misfits under her uncle’s roof, keeping Earth safe from non-human realm jumpers. Rogan’s biggest issue concerns her uncle’s short leash with her freedom—that is of course, until she’s taken by a notorious witch, and her life begins to unravel. Soon, the supernatural beauty discovers there’s a reason her uncle kept such a tight lock on her whereabouts, and that she has more than angel blood running through her veins.

Eighteen-year-old Max is an angel, and Rogan’s mentor and guardian. He’s well aware of her tenacious inability to obey orders, though he also knows she’s a fierce fighter. When he’s involved in a scheme that ultimately gets Rogan kidnapped, he must battle his way back to her in an attempt to save her from the darkness threatening to possess her.
On SALE for 99 cents for a limited time, until it goes to its original price of $3.99.Amazon Link: http://smarturl.it/wofandb

Prah, Constantine, Baryeh Review CRANE by Stacey Rourke #paranormal #specfic

This month our awesome review team has selected
CRANEbyStacey Rourke

The Horseman is unending, his presence shan’t lessen.
If you break the curse,
you become the legend.

Washington Irving and Rip Van Winkle had no choice but to cover up the deadly truth behind Ichabod Crane’s disappearance. Centuries later, a Crane returns to Sleepy Hollow awakening macabre secrets once believed to be buried deep.

What if the monster that spawned the legend lived within you?

Now, Ireland Crane, reeling from a break-up and seeking a fresh start, must rely on the newly awakened Rip Van Winkle to discover the key to channeling the darkness swirling within her. Bodies are piling high and Ireland is the only one that can save Sleepy Hollow by embracing her own damning curse.

But is anyone truly safe when the Horseman rides?
Cathrina's Review:
Oh Wow!!
I'll say right at the beginning, Crane by Stacey Rourke is a fabulous adaption in regards to Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane, and the Headless Horseman.
The Author, Stacey Rourke has an absolutely brilliant writing style that blew me away. Each descriptive page had me hungering for more, and I found it difficult to put the book down.
I like humor, especially sarcastic humor, and Crane did not disappoint. And to enlist Rip Van Winkle into the storyline was over-the-top enjoyment! I loved the main character, Ireland and her strength to persevere in her battle with conquering the Horseman. I never leave spoils~~~Oh Boy!! You will be amazed!!!
Whether I'd been so caught up in the story or it wasn't mentioned to lure the reader into book 2, I can't remember if it was explained how Ireland Crane was related to Ichabod.
I highly recommend this phenomenal book.
Now: Let's head over the read Nana and Empi's reviews!!

April 4th question: When your writing life is a bit cloudy or filled with rain, what do you do to dig down and keep writing?

I like to take walks, either outside of on the treadmill to clear my head. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And believe it or not, I like to clean, like washing my floor, dusting rooms, doing laundry. It's the mundane things that relax my brain so that, hopefully, it will regenerate and allow a story to enfold.

I have another book being released within the week. And my insecurities are rising like water in a stream where the banks are sure to overflow.... I'm striving to keep my head above the water.

How are you handling your insecurities this month?

We've been celebrating my Mother's 85th Birthday. It's a huge celebration since beating another bout of cancer!

I've read a few articles on Saint Patrick, and it appears he was quite a phenomenal person.
Saint Patrick's BreastplateAttributed to St Patrick, the poem known as The Deer's Cry or St Patrick's Breastplate tells the story is told of how the saint used a power called féth fíada to transform himself and his companion into wild deer so that they could escape ambush while on their way to preach at the Hill of Tara. This royal hill in the Boyne Valley was the ancient capital of Ireland and, to the Druids, the sacred dwelling place of their gods. Awaiting their arrival, and with every intention of attacking or imprisoning the two Christians, their Celtic adversaries saw only a deer with a fawn roaming across the fields. As a result of this power, the missionairies successfully reached the Hill without incident. If you wish to read more interesting myths, legends, and allegories in regards to Saint Patrick there are many links. Here's one: https://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/legend-of-saint-patrick.html

March 7 question - How do you celebrate when you achieve a writing goal/ finish a story?
I normally don't DO anything, except breathe a sigh of relief and then smile from ear to ear. I probably should change that up a bit. Perhaps indulge in my favorite treat~ a hot fudge sundae!
