Secondary Character Bloghop!

Rachel Schieffelbein is announcing a bloghop to celebrate the upcoming release of Secondary Characters. After signing up for the hop head over to Goodreads and add it.

I'd like to announce the Secondary Characters Bloghop!

Sometimes
secondary characters steal the show, (or the book) and become our
favorites. On May 22nd we want you to tell us about your favorite
secondary characters from books or movies, or both!

Whether it's the funny best friend or that goofy kid next door,

we want to know what secondary characters

you just couldn't get enough of and why.

Theresa Paolo, Kelley Lynn, Jessica SaylorJenny Morris and Suzi Retzlaff were all generous
enough offer critiques as prizes! These ladies are brilliant, wonderful critiquers. I am also planning on giving away a three chapter critique along with an ebook of Secondary Characters, which releases on May 28th.

Cassie Mae and Kelley Lynn will also pick a winner to get either an ebook of Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend, or a signed copy of Fraction of Stone

So sign up over at Rachel's blog and
start thinking about your favorite secondary characters

Fraction of Stone by the awesome Kelley Lynn

I am SUPER excited! I have been waiting for this day the moment I finished the first draft of Kelley's manuscript. From the very first page I knew this would be the book that would launch Kelley's writing career. I have never been happier to recommend a book.

I am so proud of Kelley, my first ever critique partner, and good friend. She poured her all into this book and introduced me to the world of Fantasy. A world I never thought I would like. And she made me love it. From the way her characters come alive on the page and the unique setting she created I can not rave about this book enough. And not to mention Rydan is totally swoonworthy.

If I haven't convinced you yet: (And sorry for the wonky spacing)

Fraction of
Stone
 by Kelley
Lynn

Release Date: March
21st, 2013 by Sapphire Star Publishing
Genre: YA Fantasy

Book
Description:

Wind tunnels, torrential rains
and earthquakes tear apart Casden. The cause of the world’s imbalance is
unknown, but the mounting occurrences suggest there’s little time before life
ceases to exist.

Rydan Gale and Akara Nazreth are
the only humans with the ability to wield magic. The tattoo on their necks and
the discovery of an ancient book, dictate they are the key to the world’s
survival.

But the greatest obstacle for
saving mankind isn’t the bizarre creatures, extreme betrayals and magic-fearing
men hunting them.

It’s that Akara doesn’t believe
the world is worth saving.

Trailer:

About the
Author:

Eventually the day came when the
voices in Kelley Lynn’s head were more insistent then her engineering
professor’s. So instead of turning to her Thermodynamics book, Kelley brought
up a blank page on her computer screen and wrote. Somewhere along the way she
became a Young Adult author.

Kelley was born and raised a
Midwestern girl. She’s not afraid to sweat and fills her free time with
softball, soccer and volleyball. (Though you probably don’t want her on your
volleyball team.) She occasionally makes guest appearances as a female vocalist
for area bands.

You can find Kelley hanging out
at her blog, titled in her
name
, as well as the group blog she shares
with her fellow critique partners, Falling for
Fiction
. Kelley is a member of the Society of
Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators.

Happy Monday

If you participated in the Matchelor today we reveal our first two pairs over at Falling For Fiction. If you didn't sign up still stop by and see the questionnaires the other participants filled out and see why we thought they made good matches.

I have off for the next two days and I intend on catching up on my blog posts. Unfortunately I'm also dealing with a cold from hell. So I'll be doing my best in between sneezing and blotting my teary eyes.

Any crazy home remedies you can recommend? At this point I'll try anything.

Happy Monday, Everyone!
