Fragments of skills & talents of Padavedu, Tamil Nadu, India
I clicked this photo with my iPhone 6s and edited it slightly with Photoshop – increased its saturation a bit. I love this photo because it showcases the skills and talents of the women of Padavedu, a progressive village in Tamil Nadu, South India. We were taken to this village and shown the works of these self-reliant women. These unattended ropes with a basket caught my eye and I quickly froze the frame.

Quiet amongst Chaos. Venice, Italy
I took this photo on my DSLR Canon t5i with an 18-55 mm lens. I used the “Manual” setting, manual focus, and an ISO of 100. I adjusted the exposure (brightness, highlights, shadows, contrast) with PicMonkey, an online photo editing site. My sister and I found a quiet location with one of the best views of Venice; a rare moment of quiet and peace in such a bustling, touristy destination. I wanted to capture this moment to relay that even in the busiest of tourist locations, there are still areas of seemingly undiscovered solidarity.
