Reviews in general

What would be great for authors and promoters would be to have a top end interface where reviews could be gathered in one place.

It would be especially helpful if the global giants such as Amazon could share reviews across all of their file extensions e.g. .com .co.uk .ca etc...

Is it just me that thinks this is a good idea? After all why wouldn't a reader in the US want to read a review that originated in the UK. I'm talking of a review based upon the same work available across multi sites...

Seems odd that this has not happened yet. Perhaps anybody else out there that has similar views may wish to add something?

Amazon 5 Star Review

Always great to get a new and great review. 5 Stars on Amazon from James Duncanson;

"This book was read by myself and my wife it appealed to both our reading niches. It has all the twists and turns that you could want in a drama. We both hope that it is the beginning of a run of books featuring Jack Shaw. It was an "easy read" for both of us, great plot twists and scope for sequel."

Family Reviews...

Coming from a family that believe; "There is no such thing as a free lunch" and additionally a family led by an English teacher, it has been one of my scariest moments to discover that very person (Of course I am referring to my mother!) has recently read and reviewed Stray Bullet.

I am happy to report I received 4 stars from her on Kindle though I have not seen the review. It still seems bribery will get me nowhere in my family!! :)

The great thing is, 4 stars means exactly what it says on the can! So, whilst delighted with this endorsement, I will strive to do better mother! :)

Another good Amazon review

It's great to receive reviews although can be rather scary at times! Another one has been posted on Amazon today with 4/5 stars. The review from a Jasper Olsen is as follows;

Excellent debut for some interesting characters with an intriguing plot line cunningly woven in. I’m guessing personal experiences went some way to providing realistic descriptions of places and people such as the RAF base. It took a few chapters to adapt to this new style of writing but once the scenes and backgrounds had been set I found myself wanting to turn page after page to reach the ultimate climax. Simon has delivered an excellent journey into the mafia underworld leading the reader to uncharacteristically root for the bad guy at points, and draws you inexorably towards the final good versus evil battle at the end. Can’t wait for this story to resume in his next foray into the tangled lives of Harvey and Jack.

Website Reviews

It is great that people are beginning to send in really positive comments and reviews for Stray Bullet. A tad frustrating (but understandable) that people often prefer to send comments directly to me rather than onto the recognised sites. But hey ho...people are busy and it all spurs my enthusiasm to get back onto my QWERTY!

Thank you to those who have supplied feedback so far :)

5* Review on amazon.com

Another 5* Amazon review... This time (at last) one posted on the amazon dot com site!

Isabel G (Taken from Amazon.com) says:

September 12, 2013 at 2:50 pm

"As this is a new author to me, I wasn’t sure what to expect but after the first few pages I knew I had hit a winner! It was so easy to connect with the characters in it; I felt as though I had known them for a long time. I also enjoyed watching the way the author brought out the best and the worst in them and was amazed at the fact that I could still like one of them even although he was definitely an evil nut case! I hope this book is the first in a long series, I think there is loads of potential for these very interesting characters."
