Signed books for Christmas!

ENGLISH: This signing is for Norwegian books only (sorry!), but if you desperately want one (you might be learning Norwegian, what do I know), my publisher will ship outside of the Nordic region for a postage fee, variable by location.

Box Set Launch in Germany!

German slip case edition of The Raven Rings, with books laid out on a wooden surface

Dear Germany, it’s here! Next week, October 20th, The Raven Rings box set is finally real, and it is amaaaaaziiing! 😍🙌 Available from Arctis Verlag, it is a stunning, limited, high quality slip case edition, with special covers, and a seperate booklet with all my secrets! Ok, not all. Some secrets 😬 Like how I work, my plotmaps, my drawings of the characters, story background, Hirka’s favourite plants (with possible parallels in our world), and even some pictures from my workplace, and weird stuff from when I grew up, because when else would I get the chance to bore someone with it? 😆

Open booklet with handpainted sketches Limited edition cover of Odin’s Child, all dark with no text or title, only a mysterious hooded face [image error]

I am incredibly proud of this beauty, and since you’re all geeks, you know why: Because special editions are for people who care, beyond the fact that it’s books. They care, because the stories matter to them, and I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for that. It’s why we write! Thank you so much, for your vital part in this, and dammit, I promised myself I wouldn’t cry! Please give a round of applause to Arctis, my agents at Grand Agency, to translators Dagmar Mißfeldt and Dagmar Lendt, and to my Norwegian publisher, Gyldendal Norsk Forlag, for their tireless and inspired work 👏

US Release Day for The Rot!

Today, THE ROT is released in the US! I can’t believe it’s been six months since ODIN’S CHILD launched to the most heartwarming feedback, especially from Laini Taylor and Sally Green, two of my absolute favourite authors, and I can’t tell you how grateful that makes me. And now, the sequel is out!

THE ROT takes place in a new world, and it might not be where or when you expected. But have faith, follow Hirka, and you’ll see... I am proud to say that Kirkus calls it «An intricate fantasy world that explores the history and mythology of Ym and introduces a connection to the human world in unexpected and intriguing ways. […] An absorbing book that sets the ground for a promising finale»

To every single reader and follower, in every country: I love you for ranting and raving, for caring and sharing, for annoying your friends with my books, for never shutting up about them, for drawing, tattooing, knitting, composing, cosplaying, and ffs even BAKING stuff from my stories! You’all are truly amazing, and as much a part of this journey as I am, and I swear, I will not rest until I feel we’re even. (So I’ll never rest, obviously, but whatever, that’s fine!)

My deepest thanks to my translators, Siân Mackie and Paul Russell Garrett, for their tremendous work, to my wonderful publisher Arctis Verlag and the icredibly dedicated, hard-working team that makes all this happen. Not just in the US, but also my Norwegian publisher, Gyldendal Norsk Forlag, who gave birth to this baby, trusted and nurtured it into the spoiled teenage brat that now travels the world. And of course, thanks to my unbeatable agents at Grand Agency.

You can read more about THE ROT here, and as always, I’m eternally grateful to you for spreading the word. Here, please accept my karma points! 🙌🥰

Launch day in Italy!

Italian cover and signed card

Weeeeh, this calls for wine, because today, IL LUPO DI FERRO - The Iron Wolf - first book in the VARDARI trilogy, is released in Italy! Word on the street is that the first 200 to order, get a signed card, so be quick to get your copy from my publisher, Multiplayer Edizioni. My deepest thanks to everyone on the hard-working team, especially my Italian translator, Valentina Fatichenti, and my superb agents at Grand Agency. And of course to YOU, my incredible, amazing readers, who support me through thick and thin (quite literally 😅) I hope you love the wolf as much as the ravens! Viva l’Italia! 🇮🇹

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Juva hates blood readers. Praised for their Sight, they are nothing but swindlers, preying on people’s fears, for power and profit. Born by blood readers herself, she knows only too well, and she has vowed never to become one of them.

But when her family is threatened by vardari, the eerie lasting ones, who never age, Juva is entangled in a desperate hunt for the blood readers’ legacy: a dark secret that once changed the world, and may do so again.

In order to survive, she has to confront the childhood memory she fought to forget: That time she saw the devil.

THE IRON WOLF is a spellbinding fantasy mystery on a norse foundation, about blood, desire and addiction. It’s the first book in the trilogy VARDARI, an independent series set in the universe of the award-winning fantasy phenomenon THE RAVEN RINGS.

- Alittle girl is forced to forget that she saw the devil.
- An immortal commits murder to conceal an old sin.
- A wolf-sick betrays his lover to obtain eternal life
- A mysterious clockwork starts ticking after six hundred years.
- A grim secret, guarded for generations, has gone missing.

US Launch day!

US special Librarian Box edition of Odin’s Child, stacked in front of shelves.

Today, ODIN’S CHILD is launching in the US! (A definite medalist in ‘things I never thought I’d say, there.) And I got the best launch day present I could imagine: The extraordinary fantasy writer, Laini Taylor, shared how much she loves my book, and I can’t tell you what that means, coming from the woman who is my default recommendation when it comes to fantasy books. I am truly grateful and honored, and I can’t thank her enough! Go follow her on Twitter and Instagram!

If you want to help, you can rate or review, share and shout out. Your love means more than you probably think, for me and other writers alike. Your enthusiasm is what keeps us sane, and in business. Many of you have helped me enormously for years, which is the reason this is happening at all! My books would never have reached so far without you. My deepest and most profound thanks for your help, old and new, which will grant you full access to Siri’s carma account.

The photo you seee is from The Librarian Box, who made this insanely gorgeous edition of Odin’s Child for their March Book Box. They hired Emboss and Spine to HAND PAINT over two hundred books, with black, gold-shimmering edges, and I’m DYING! (Yes, they are sending me one!)

Big hugs to you all!
