This book would nestle next to Agatha Christie for sure and mystery romance fans will love it as much as I did. It has everything, mystery, romance, murders and Corfu, what more do you want?
The Demiris mansion is full of secrets…
From the moment investigative reporter Jackie Alexander steps foot inside the mansion dominating the Demiris estate on the beautiful Greek island of Corfu, her suspicions are on high alert. My Review on Arielle Immortal Quickening (The Immortal Rapture Series Book 4) by Lilian Roberts

5.0 out of 5 stars It gets better and better!!!By Angel - See all my reviewsVerified Purchase(What's this?)

This review is from: Arielle Immortal Quickening (Immortal Rapture Series Book 4) (Kindle Edition)The Immortal Rapture series is getting better and better. There is excitement, resentment, and punishment as the immortal Annabel is still trying to destroy everything between Sebastian and Arielle. She will not stop until Arielle is dead.
Lilian Roberts has a wonderful writing style. The story characters are vibrant and very likable. Roberts intertwines the story in a very smart way that keeps you eager for the outcome all the way to the last page. Then you realize that you have to wait for the next book. I'm not happy about that, but I'm excited that there will be more of this series.
Romance, friendship, mystery, excitement, and fear mingle throughout every book in this exciting paranormal romance series. However, in this book the series takes a darker turn that I loved.
Things get quite explosive in the end! Very intriguing!!!

A wonderful review for The Heiress of Santorini by TLBC's Book Blog

Review:
4 stars!  Review copy provided.

I really enjoyed this book. It had me guessing until the end. I thought the writing was well done and the story intrigued me. Mark, was he a good guy? Who was her grandfather really?  And who is behind John's mysterious disappearance? Every time I thought I got it right I was wrong and I really like when a book keeps me guessing.

Being a romance junkie something was slightly missing for me. I felt the initial connection between Mark and Alexandra but it seemed to fade into the background with everything else going on. When I read a romance novel I like the build up of the H and h as the book goes on and to me it just leveled off. I found Alexandra and Mark to have good chemistry so I think with a little more about them, how they connected and why they connected the way they did would have helped me. Don't get me wrong it's there but just not as pronounced as I would have liked.

It was also nice getting into everyone's head a little in the book. I love books told from a first persons POV but the way this was written was unique because it was told in the third person but you also get a peak into what they were thinking.

Reading about Greece and the description of the island was very well done, but not over done, I could definitely picture myself there. The description in the book in general was terrific and not over the top. This book takes you from Georgia, to New York and Greece...making me feel like I was right there with the characters.

All in all a great book with a lot of suspense and mystery that I would recommend reading.

An amazing review for The Heiress of Santorini by the San Francisco Book Review

“The third novel in The Greek Isles Series by Angel Sefer was very daring, dashed with forbidden romances and served with a great amount of hatred, revenge, and regrets… Sefer entertains the readers with a series of entanglements that gives the novel a chilly air of suspense. She shocks the readers with the cruelty of the acts of violence that occur within supposedly bold Greek families where pride, tradition, and legacy is revered. The message on forgiveness and maintain strong family bonds despite conflict and tragedy is what really makes the novel spectacular and heartwarming.” – San Francisco Book Review

Unbelievable! An old remedy to relieve a cough!

I don’t usually post about things like that. However, this was so incredible that I just had to share it with you.
I’ve been suffering from a terrible cough for almost three weeks. My chest, throat, and head hurt from coughing, I’ve lost my voice, and I haven’t been able to sleep.
Some days ago, my great aunt reminded me of an old remedy. I didn’t pay attention at first, but after having tried every cough syrup and throat drops in the market, I was desperate.
I took a cup of tsipouro (*), warmed it up a little bit, and mixed it with a tablespoon of honey. When it cooled off, I tried a teaspoon, and my cough subsided for a couple of hours. I took another teaspoon, and I felt slightly better for longer than that. Finally, I took another teaspoon before going to bed, and I slept all night through!
That was two days ago. Yesterday, I took one teaspoon in the morning, one at noon, and one at night, and today, I feel like a new person! My cough is gone, and my head is clear.
With a rough winter still ahead of us, I will surely keep this remedy in mind.
Have a wonderful New Year everyone!

*Tsipouro is a pomace brandy from Greece and in particular Thessaly, Epirus, Macedonia, Mani Peninsula, and the island of Crete. Tsipouro is a strong distilled spirit containing 40-45% alcohol by volume and is produced from the pomace—the residue of the wine press.

Spotlight on Anne McCarthy Strauss' new novel, "The Passion Thief"

Anne McCarthy Strauss' new novel, The Passion Thief, was recently published by Booktrope! The Passion Thief is women's fiction with a romantic side. It's a perfect read for anyone who's lost the passion in a relationship and wondered about the road not taken.

The Passion Thief Blurb
The tumble between the sheets can get a little stale and infrequent in some marriages. At least that’s what Betty Boomer tells herself at night, while Stan, her husband of two decades, snores upright on the couch. Emboldened by too much Chardonnay, she searches the Internet for her college boyfriend Michael, the proverbial one who got away. Memories of their youthful passion reignite a lust Betty thought had dried up long ago.

Michael responds to Betty’s cyber message, and temptation calls this globe-trotting freelance journalist. While Stan’s idea of excitement is staying up past ten o’clock on a Saturday night, Michael has evolved into a flashy Las Vegas casino manager with three ex-wives. Which man offers stimulation and which one brings monotony coupled with reliability is vividly clear.

Written with the yearning and struggle many women feel, Betty Boomer is not alone when she asks, “Is this all I need or should I take another shot at passion?” Author Anne McCarthy Strauss brings us her latest women’s fiction coupled with a large dose of romantic comedy and a dozen long-stemmed roses.
